Bar runs like well oiled machine and generally good vibe. But theres one bartender thats a left over from the purple place shut down with a real funky disposition. Expects tips for a glass of water and for all of the ego and baggage he comes with makes a pretty sh@ty cocktail. 2thumbs down on that guy. Foods marginal, had a good run a while back...

We were at El dorado hills for a meeting and decided upon this place for Friday evening dinner. We ordered buffalo cauliflower, salt and pepper chicken, and chicken tacos trip, followed by warm brownie with ice cream for dinner. For drinks we ordered beers and the saloon punch. The food was spot on,My favorite was the salt and pepper chicken with fried jalapeños, while my husband loved the buffalo cauliflower. The tacos were well made as well and I loved how they balanced all the flavors including sauces without it being very overwhelming, the warm brownie was a perfect dessert to wrap our dinner. The saloon punch was ok, I felt it had a bit too much of a cherry flavor to my liking. The service is attentive and patient. The weather was great so we chose outdoor patio seating which was also not as noisy as indoors. Overall, it was a good experience and would love to come back again.

So first off I have to say the food here is good I really enjoy the food. Previously I really enjoyed the service as well always had nice friendly servers. But today we came in and we were helped by a tall younger guy with kind of shaggy curly hair, and I know in today's climate it's hard to find good people but I was having lunch with three women and we split the bill on our credit cards and he reads off the first credit card and says who is Robert huh let's see maybe the one guy sitting with the three women. It was kind of ridiculous and really irritated me because the other credit cards said Veronica, Paige, Nancy and I don't think I look like any of them. Hopefully he is new and he can learn otherwise I feel bad for you guys If he's relied upon on a regular basis.

Loved the ambience and everything this place has to offer. This is an old school saloon type diner. Staff is mostly young but very well behaved and courteous.We opted for outdoor seating as it was a warm day. Seating is great and generally quiet although they are right on the street.Food & drinks were good. I ordered the burger and the bacon was nice & thick cut. My wife's shrimp tacos wasn't skimped on. The tri-tip nachos were delicious.Overall loved the experience and will definitely visit again.

Visited here during a weekend when I drove up to hang out with family that lives in the area. My Uncle is a regular here and brought us to his favorite place after dinner! We went on a Saturday evening so there was an alternative live band playing all of our favorite 90s to early 2000s rock and emo hits! Vibes were very welcoming, Dennis and Jack were wonderful bartenders that were so kind and accommodating to my family who tends to be rowdy when there's a shot or two in them.When you ask for a single shot of whiskey they give you a POOL of whiskey (hit us like a truck) - a highlight of the evening and now a part of our inside joke. Thank you for making our night!Had such a great time that I only had one photo from the night and it was a photo of the bathroom door.

El Dorado Saloon & Grill ... has some pretty great tasting eats. It's a family friendly eatery and bar in a small local neighborhood shopping plaza in the suburbs of El Dorado Hills. Get this, they even have live music on select Friday and Saturday nights. I've never been here to listen to music. But I've been there to have dinner. I recently dropped on in for a weekend dinner. I wasn't expecting anything fancy, culinary or ambiance wise. It's not divey but also not a linen tablecloth place either. I ordered the special of the night, prime rib sandwich. Dang it was delicious. 5 stars. OMG it was yummy. The sandwich bread was thick and buttered grilled with a slight buttery crispness on top and soft bread inside. Yum. The prime rib was seasoned well, it had a great flavor. Juicy, moist, and tender. Good quality cut. It was sliced thin enough to be able to chew the meat without knife and forking it. The serving size was ample. Not skimpy. The meat was served hot hot. It was served with a side of chimichurri sauce. The sauce was fantastic. Absolute great pairing to the prime rib. I forgot about the sauce and put it in the last half of the sandwich since I scarfed down the first half. The prime rib was terrific without it but with it... WOW! I choose potato salad as my side. That too did not disappoint. It had a zingy tangy and sweet taste. Mmm... yum. Hubs ordered a burger. He enjoyed it. As always I took a few bites. Delicious. Quality Angus beef patty served on a Brioche bun. Even the thick cut fries were prepared well. Golden crisp. Whoever was cooking in the kitchen did a brilliant job. They can cook. The sandwich and burger seem like simple menu items ... but they elevated the flavors big time. Which is not a simple thing to do successfully. Our waitress was fabulous. She had a great attitude and provided top notch service. Overall outstanding dining experience.

The service was great. They're very kind. I got the Cali bowl and I thought it was delicious. It's a great restaurant and it's in the perfect place. I would totally recommend going. I will definitely be coming back there.

Customer service great! Hannah did her best with our large group of 11 on the patio last night. We stopped in after hitting up the lake for a fun family day on the boat. Our table ordered a mix of either the Prime Rib sandwich, the French Dip sandwich, chicken pesto sando, a quesadilla, and the mix n' match tacos. The food is nothing special, sure not writing home about it. While the shrimp taco and cali chicken were my favorite things, because the tortilla tasted homemade - my prime rib sammie was nottttt that great. The sourdough bread had too much butter, it was basically dripping butter grease between each bite. The prime rib meat was dry. I asked for bbq sauce to help moisten the meat. I did upgrade my fries to garlic fries and they were pretty good. I can see why people stop by after the lake for some grub, it's location from Folsom Lake is very close. One thing that was consistently delicious: The Rum Runner dranks! Whoaaaa baby, these drinks were the savior of the show. Be sure to order a Run Runner, just because.

Great food, great service. My son got the saloon burger, said it was better than In n Out! I got the beet and walnut salad, which was delicious. The server offered the puppy patty for our dog which she absolutely loved. 5 stars!
