Wonderful find. Got here late with my cousin. Just wanted to shoot recurve bows.Put all my gear into the Subaru and off we go on a great and challenging adventure. After finding the correct driveway to go into , you park . You gear up and walk up the hill. Pay the FROG. Pick a side and start shooting. We started at numbers 1 - 15. I would suggest that you start off with some warm up shots first before starting with the range. Different distances and different elevations, shooting up hill some shooting downwards. All clearly marked and bales having targets. Along the we we encountered wild turkey, it's a No No to shoot at these but very tempting. We will be back to finish the rest is this course.

One of the better bow clubs in Northern California. The members and range-master are always friendly and they do an excellent job of maintaining the property. I am not a member due to living over an hour away but you can visit as a guest for a day use fee of $5. Guests park at the bottom of the hill and walk in but it's a very short walk overall. If I ever move closer again then I will definitely be joining this club. Great job guys/gals!

Love this Archery range in El Dorado Hills. It is well kept by the members and open to the public though non-members must park at the bottom of the hill. The location asks for a $5 usage donation and the money is clearly well spent. The targets are always in good shape and the members

I'm from San Francisco Bay Area and when visiting in the area, I always make it a point to come here. Well maintained targets, great long distance shots, a few changes in elevation. It is completely an outdoor range with NO shade so be prepared. I bring a hat to wear while walking from target to target and a LOT of water. Also, use fletching that is colored appropriately for the season. For long shots, if you miss the target, your arrow is lost to nature without that high contrast fletching. I did bump into a member once who was very friendly and invited me in the club house to borrow a tool. Remember to donate when visiting and support this range!

We loved this outdoor archery range! We were able to speak to many of the members on the Saturday we went. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The course is beautiful and large. If you're not a member you will have to park down below he frence and walk up to the range. Can wait to go again.

This is my favorite range in the greater Sacramento area. The course follows NFAA standards, and the hills and many oak trees add to the challenge and make the course fun and interesting. It's even a nice place to just hang out and relax by the clubhouse. They have a great sight-in range and learning/teaching area. The members are friendly, and the club is a non-profit.

My co workers and I, are from Oregon. And we found this place it is amazing. It has a hunt feel to it. And the best part is non member fee is five dollars at the range donation post. Range manager is awesome and willing to help if needed. No pro shop. But all In all great place to shoot, relax and cleanse the soul.

Great range. Park by the "painted rocks" on El Dorado Hills Blvd., and walk up the hill to the course or practice range. Members are allowed to park at the top of he driveway - membership is very reasonable (http://eldoradohillsbowmen.com/default.html). Trail-hike course takes between 3.5-4 hrs to complete, but I'm not complaining! Beats a round of golf by a long shot.
