El Dorado Brewing

Very nice owner and very tasty beer! We loved the professor plum beer definitely stop in for a pint! Cheers!

There have been several breweries come and go in the last decade, but El Dorado Brewing is still going strong. Greg Upton's beers are absolutely the best for miles around. His porters and stouts are complex without being overly heavy. I am a fan of his Irish red, which sits perfectly on the palate, reminding you to stop guzzling and actually take time to taste the beer. The lagers and IPAs are equally fine; I especially like that the IPAs have plenty of flavor without getting into the "hoppier than thou" game that you get from so many microbreweries. If you are truly into sitting down and having a couple of really great beers, this is the place to do it. It is laid back, Greg is a gracious host, and man you cannot beat the quality of the beverages!

3/23/2022: I HAD to get my microbrewery fix satiated; just had to do it!!!! I just discovered just twenty minutes before arriving at EDB, Outbreak Brewery as well as Placerville Brewery permanently shuttered FOREVER~WAAAAAH! So, off I searched via Google for a microbrewery close to my humble abode . . . Indeed~Eureka! I found El Dorado Brewery! Yay~Naturally, I now habitually have my growler packed on ice inside my truck:Filler up, please with high-test, dark beer which will make hair grow on my chest (TMI)-LOL! Now~I'll return to my humble abode tasting the wonderful, chocolaty, dark beer~YUM!

This is a cute little spot. We discovered it through the hop passport. Owners were so nice in treating us to some samples before we ordered. We had a great conversation with the bartender. The whole place was Grateful Dead/tie-dye themed. Beer was good and we were given some goldfish crackers to snack on while we drank. It was a nice gesture and we definitely would love to come back.

Great tasting local beers. The porter and stout were great some of the best I've ever had. Come try this hidden local brewery.

We moved to the area about a year and a half ago. We finally had the free time to stop and check out our local brewery. Awesome! Greg and his wife are friendly and welcoming. Greg brews some amazing beer and we are happy to say this is our new favorite! The locals, the brew master and his wife, the beer, the music, the prices and the relaxed environment all add up to a great place to hang out for a great beer!

I came here about a year ago and I had a great experience. The owner showed me around back where they brewed and told me a lot of things about brewing I can't recall because I was pretty buzzed off the tasters!!Great stuff, I need to come back soon. They also have bands play every so often which is cool too!

Went here with a friend and his dad. They have a great selections of fine brews that change from time to time. Prices are very reasonable and you will really enjoy your time there.Why you might ask? The owners know so much about history. They have super interesting conversations and talk about an array of different subjects. I don't think I have ever been in a place that switched from 80s basketball to the different wars in the 1400s. And yes I did google all the information they were pulling out of their butts... and they nailed it.THE VERDICT: Go. Good chat!

Small spot in diamond springs business park.Clean. Simple. Nice staff.Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of any of their beer. I had a flight of Al l of them. Its worth a shot if you were in the area.

Beer is excellent and the owner is super nice and interesting. Wish it had a little more of a bar atmosphere with bar stools to encourage hanging out.
