El Burrito Taqueria

Carnitas super burrito was huge packed with meat,pinto beans, cheese, sour cream,rice & it was a little oily (normally a good sign for juicey meat).Mrs had the ground beef soft taco ,cheese/onion enchilada with green sauce,beans,rice.Taco was like a sloppy Joe consistently/flavor,not my fave, but not bad.Both entrees were two thumbs up with 1/2 a burrito to take home.They also have one of the best salsa bars I've seen. Large variety of salsas , including a crema white version that was interesting.

I was on my way to Awful Annie's this morning for the usual breakfast, and I just had a hankering for a breakfast burrito and something simpler. So I pulled in to El Burrito Taqueria and gave it a quick look up here on yelp. Saw great and reasonably priced breakfast burritos on the menu and decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. It's a truly authentic Mexican restaurant with an awesome salsa bar, fresh chips, and great service. I ordered the breakfast burrito number three with Carnitas and it was huge and as wonderful as it was large. I couldn't even eat it all, so took half of it home and I'm gonna enjoy it tomorrow. Definitely worth the stop on the way up to Tahoe or Reno. saw someone else ordering an early lunch with the street tacos, and I'm definitely coming back for lunch at some point on my next trip through the area.

Meh - nice salsa bar, very tasty chips, Jamaica was pretty good and my husband who is a burrito aficionado really liked his jumbo burrito with Carne Asada. Unfortunately, my son got two Carne Asada tacos and the meat was extremely overcooked and lacked flavor. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I got a fish taco which was breaded, and the bread was soggy. It wasn't cooked properly (seems like it had been sitting for a long time and then just slapped on the burrito without putting in the fryer to crisp up the outside). I also got a shrimp taco and the shrimp was...cringe, served rare. They are not paying attention. They are not executing properly and they are not putting care into the ingredients. I would not recommend this place.

Taco the TownOne of five locations for this locally-owned and operated chain of Mexican restaurants here in the Sacramento area. This location just happened to be literally just a few steps from the hotel we were staying at, and so we decided to pickup some chow to bring back to the room. The Good:*Convenient website for ordering pick-up*Drive-thru!*Friendly service*Free chips and a salsa bar for dining in patrons *Inside is really clean and inviting *Relatively inexpensive and no upcharge on the offal*Beers on draught as well as a large selection of *Ordered three tacos (Taco Tuesday) w/ various meats and their tripas (tripe) were sensational. Crispy large chunks with a nice chew and that flavor I love. The Meh:*Ordered some nachos to share, and they were kind of a cold, gloppy mess by the time we went to eat it. The takeout portion might've affected that, but it didn't help that they put way too much stuff on the nachos. *The website isn't entirely accurate for certain things like drink selection, and it can be a little confusing on some of the options. The Ugly:*My other two tacos were pretty gross, if I'm being honest. The Carne Asada (grilled beef) was more steamed than grilled, and Chile Colorado was dry as the Sahara. Conclusion: Not the best Mexican food we've had, but certainly not the worst. Some of the issues could be due to the takeout factor, but who knows. I'd probably still go again if I stayed at that Best Western again, but this time, I'd dine-in instead.

Extremely poor service Maya Asada tacos had some sort of second meat. Looks like pork skin of some sort. Got me sick for four days Don't recommend.

Came here for lunch and needed to charge my car. Stopped in and was a bit leery. I thought it might be one of those places that may make me regret eating there.Let me say that I was pleasantly surprised. Don't judge a book by its cover. I walk in the place is very clean and so many options on the menu. I ordered the 2 taco combination with pastor. My son ordered 3 pastor tacos.There is a salsa bar and fresh chips. We grab some and their salsa options satisfied those who weren't into the spicy and those who liked the spicy.We enjoyed our tacos. The tortillas tasted like they were freshly made. The pastor meat was very flavorful. I really enjoyed my meal. My son and I were thrilled to find another spot besides Ikedas as a place to grab food on our trips to Nevada.Definitely try it out. Good food, great service and great place.

Very happy with our meal. We stopped to charge on the way to Tahoe and this place was an awesome, convenient spot to grab a bite while the car was charging. We just ordered a bunch of tacos with different meats. The shrimp and fish were great. The grilled chicken and steak were pretty good. It was nice to have the self service chip and salsa. The food came out really fast and we were able eat and get back to the car before it was fully charged. Will definitely choose this charger on future trips so we can eat here.

I love it here everything i tried has been good. I come here for lunch all the time. They customer service is always top tier.

Amazing!! We stopped at El Burrito Taqueria on our way to Tahoe. Personnel is friendly and restaurant was very clean. We ordered a fish taco, a shrimp taco and three quesobirria tacos. My husband's fish and shrimp tacos were so good, he ate them before I could take a picture. The quesobirria were so big and filled to the brim. Meat was so tender and the broth, I could have had it by itself. Don't forget to try the salsa bar.What really made the visit standout, was the cashier who came around to all the tables to make sure everything was to the customer's satisfaction. Skip the fast food and go to El Burrito Taqueria.
