Delicious Mexican food! We came in very hungry after a long travel day. They have a huge dining area with lots of seating. There's a fresh salsa bar with several fresh/house made salsas and cremas.. We really liked everything we tried. Food came out quick.Veggie burrito, nachos and hubby tried huevos rancheros. All items were generously portioned and we definitely could've just ordered 2 things. Nachos had tons of toppings which I appreciate. Huevos plate came with extra tortillas too.

Hands down one of the best places and my all time personal favorite in Sacramento for great Mexican food. They have the best salsa bar in town. We usually get the tacos, burritos, and tortas and they are very flavorful. The staff is SUPER FRIENDLY and the place is always really clean . I love the food here and the staff and the ambiance. Just an all around great spot. The tacos de pollo asado is my favorite.

If you are vegetarian this place cannot be trusted. We just moved to this area and have ordered from El Balcon several times now. Their food has been decent until tonight. I ordered several items that were DoorDashed, specifically ordering vegetarian, and requesting vegetarian beans. I got a few bites in and found pieces of meat. I don't know if it was intentional or carelessness, but I won't be giving them my business again. I'm throwing everything away. DoorDash would only refund $13 for the food contamination.

This was mine and my husband 1st time here. The staff are super nice and helpful and friendly. The food taste great and love that they have different kind of salsas at the salsa bar. The beers they haft in bottle or on tap are great also. We will definitely be coming back again and it's so worth the little bit of the drive for us to come here. We will definitely also be telling everyone we know about this restaurant. The food proportions are so big definitely worth the money for it and had great choices of food and beers to pick from and they also have a soda machine and also fresh cold water also that had fruit in it as well to drink. Check this place out for sure. Also there was about a dozen or so people in the restaurant when we were there. The restaurant was also very clean and well kept by the staff.

Amazing food, great service, and lovely ambiance. This is our go-to local mexican restaurant for the past couple years. They have a lot of food options and we especially love their tacos, salads, ceviche, and burritos. The horchata and melon drink have a perfect mix of flavor and sweetness. Also, free chip and salsa bar! So happy to be regulars here.

Tried the Milanesa Torta and Al Pastor Super Burrito and both were very, very good. The only downside was they reminded me what I miss most about living in California as just can't get good Mexican food like this in Michigan where I live now. Service and ambiance were as expected for a busy taqueria: order at the counter and they'll bring your food. There is ample seating inside and a nice salsa bar with homemade chips. I'll definitely be back next time I pass through Sacramento!

So glad I decided to check this place out. I was randomly in the area and was looking for a good Mexican restaurant. The employees are friendly and there's lots of indoor seating available. They have a great salsa bar and you can serve your own chips in a basket. I ordered the molcajete and it came sizzling and smelled delicious. It has shrimp, chicken, chorizo, steak, cheese and so much more. It also comes with a plate of guacamole, sour cream, salsa, and tortillas. I definitely had leftovers, but it was worth it. Definitely will be coming back to try other menu items!
