Nice to have another Japanese option in the neighborhood. Eddokko is pretty small with tables for 15-20 people or so.I tried the curry bowl and Eddokko Don bowl. Both were very tasty which means I will be back to try more of the menu.

Yes. They are open inside! I have now been coming here for 30 (yes, thirty) years and in my opinion they are even BETTER than ever.Everything is fresh and flavorful and served hot and the food quality has continued to improve, even though I really didn't think it could get any better.The service is outstanding (shout out to Ben!!)

First time trying this lil gem in my brother in law neighborhood, it's a must try! It's small but very clean and customer service is amazing and very attentive. We had the Shoyu Ramen, Pork Chahan and miso soup it was all delicious and flavorful. I highly recommend this place and would give it a try, don't let the bad reviews keep you from not trying this place. We will definitely be coming back and giving other menu items a try.

I had the Edokko Don, this is an omelet with katsu chicken and shrimp tempura over rice. I have been coming here for years, this is one of my favorite Japanese restaurants and this is one of my favorite meals to eat here. Their udon is better than udon in San Francisco's Japan town. This place has a rating of 3.5 out of 199 reviews. I don't understand why, not a fancy place, they don't do fancy sushi. Just good, basic Japanese food. Service is great, unfortunately you can only order to go for now. Great lunch specials.

Food quality is mediocre. I ordered vegetable tempura and there was nothing amazing about it, other than letting it run it's course through my intestines--regular cleaning or what not. Lol.They're still doing to-go only orders which is ok, but I was hoping to sit down from a long day of errands. I mean if you're desperate for food and you're in the area, go for it. Personally I have had better tempura, even the fast food tempura dish in Tokyo was better.
