Eastside Chef

I was looking forward to trying this place, but was disappointed. Their food is just not that good.The honey walnut shrimp has a weird sauce drizzled on top and has no flavor, it was more deep fried with little sauce. I was expecting the shrimp to be tossed in the sauce and covered, no they just drizzled it over it and it didnt even taste like honey walnut shrimp...very strange. Even their pork fried rice has bean sprouts in it which throws the consistency and flavor off. Wonton soup was oily with little flavor. Spring roll was not good either.Was expecting a lot more, will not return

Glad to report that today's eat-in meal tasted fresh and well seasoned. As usual, very attentive and professional service. Staff aim to please and are very upbeat.

Orange chicken by far one of the best. Served hot & fresh. Great flavor with the perfect amount of orange, not too over powering with the orange. A little spicy but perfect. Pork fried Rice was good but would've preferred the chicken fried rice.. next time. Chicken& Broccoli was also great tasting and served hot. Chicken was tender and freshly cooked. Combo plates are served with an eggroll and soup. Egg flour soup was good . Service is always great and restaurant always clean.. lots of seating available.

First off.. the customer service was top shelf; from the moment we were greeted at the door up until we received our check. My family and I ordered general chicken, sweet n sour shrimp, sweet n sour pork, beef chow mein, shrimp fried rice and egg rolls. Portion sizes are huge and EVERYTHING was delicious. The restaurant was also very clean. We will definitely be coming back.

We are West Sacramento locals so we love East Side Chef! They have huge serving sizes and fair prices for dinner and really good lunch specials. The staff are always really nice and are very quick even when it comes to takeout orders. The location is large and cozy and in the middle of a shopping center with lots of other things to do around it. I actually plan on doing my first party tray order for an event coming up and will update my posting about how that goes! If you are looking for the best sitdown Chinese food restaurant in the area then this would be the place to go! Some of our favorite dishes include the sesame chicken, the salt and pepper chicken, the crab cheese wontons, the egg foo young, the chow mein and the fried rice.

I haven't been here for a while but my food is always hot when I pick it up. My wife was under the weather last time and her favorite is chicken fried rice. She loves it at another upper end restaurant, but this one is just as good. She didn't eat any of her food as she only had soup. Good for me, I ate good for a few days.

Eastside is our go to in West Sacramento. We have gone there for the past 12 years. We have gone with several family members and friends and they've all been very happy with the food and service. Whether we dine-in, or call and pick up our order, they are very accommodating and kind and extremely timely. We have even asked for their private room when we've had a large group.

Finally found a great sit down Chinese restaurant. Our family ordered the 4 person family meal. Huge portions and could have easily went 3 person. It comes with your choice of soup, than noodles or fried rice, picked 3 items orange chicken, Mongolian beef, sweet & sour pork, honey walnut prawns,Every dish was delicious! The service was excellent, friendly , very fast service. even though they we're busy. Surprise they include a beef on skewer ! It was with well worth the money. Considering the ambience, service, great food! We have already been back a second time! Lol

Really great spot! The food was great and delicious the customer service was excellent, they are attentive and respectful, the place was clean and food came out quick and hot! Thanks to the restaurant employees for a great time will come here again!

Good food with reasonable prices. Clean and usually busy. Good safe location. Good selection of combination meals.
