East West Junction is a mystery within an enigma. Is it a full on Asian market, a Restaurant or a family take out food stop. It's all. I'll focus on the buffet.I first learned of this pretty much off the main grid local emporium from a cab driver to whom I had complained about the downhill spiral and perceived scarcity of good Indian buffets in Sacramento. The day he tipped me off I was there and I have been going back ever since. The buffet is very simple. There will be about 5 main dishes to choose from and rice. Some limited side dishes and desert are also available. The Naan is cooked to order and made fresh for each individual customer. It's always hot!The hallmark of East West Junction is quality. Each main dish is robust and perfectly seasoned. There is a steady flow of clientele but it's never overcrowded. The clientele is very diverse, varied and interesting.

Great flavor, fresh made and generous servings. It's a market/restaurant with absolutely no ambiance but good quality food at a good price. Fresh naan served with each plate, delicious

Stay Away from this place! Actually run!Under new ownership and you can see that they're very disorganized and rude now.I ate here many times in the past when buffet was avail but now it's only ordering. The place basically has become a crap-whole. If you're of a different race everyone just looks at you like you just landed from a different planet. So it was 2pm on Saturday 8-12-23 and ordered food for me and my son... number 14 & 20. I had to repeat to the cashier imbecile over 5-6 times what I wanted and the idiot kept saying Chicken Masala when I clearly said Butter chicken.45-50 min forward and my food wasn't ready yet but the other few customers seating at the table got their food.To me they seemed a little racist so if you're not one of them or looking like them you should expect some starings. At 2:50 I walked to the cashier and demanded my money back. The moron cashier said we will make your food "right now". I said no it's too late I have no time to waste here any longer! They're not friendly or welcoming and the place is kind of nasty and dirty.Zero stars all around

I saw someone eating a burger from here so I decided to give it a shot due to the size of the burger...boy did I make a mistake. The burger bun was stale, the meat was dry and over spiced! It costed me $20 for two burgers and two potato wedges and wow I don't mind overpaying but the food should be good. This was a horrible experience and the food was so disgusting I tried to give it to my dog but she wouldn't go near it! The potato wedges were also baked to the point of no return and were so hard. Stick to groceries east west!

This might have been the worse desi boo fay i have had in years. The problem is the average client that eats here is a demanding pakistani pudoo who thinks they are eating and ordering back in the homeland. They shout commands at the kitchen and want to feel important. My guess this is the only place they get recognition, cause They for damn sure don't act this around goray. The chefs and employees are equally symbiotic to this savage behavior and cater to these scumbags, who for sure do not tip at all. It is the most odd cultural experience. And frankly embarrassing. The place is disgusting with unkempt tables and plastic utensils. It is kind of like eating at a failed restaurant on a side of a dirt road. Except this is indoors, and an actual restaurant. I dont know how this place passes any health inspection. The food is stale. The tikka masala had 2 pieces of chicken in it. The chef offered to add moree, but in the 30 minutes I was there no one did a damn thing. There was a decent lookking white lady in and all the employees were on her nuts catering to her. All while the shouting pakistanis walked in yelling commands. LolThe chanay were watery and no flavor. PassThe koftay (meatballs) were molested and taste terrible. The naan was generally unremarkable. Just thick tasteless bread.Eat here if you dare. Extremely subpar food, disgusting physical grounds and terrible culture from the clientelee.

Disclaimer: This restaurant is attached to a cool looking food store with unique, imported foods, but this review only pertains to the restaurant. For lunch, they have a very simple buffet. There are about 5 entrees, salad, and rice. The rice was clumped together and crunchy, so that was not too appetizing. The lentil and goat was cooked well, but had little flavor. It was spicy enough, but other than "spicy," there was lack of taste. The eggplant dish was very much like a sludge. Perhaps these items were cooked three hours ago, and had been sitting around since then. The chicken curry, to be fair, was quite tasty, and to feel like a buffet, I ate a huge second portion. The freshly baked naan was good, too. I felt like I was at a church picnic, as it was entirely paper plates and plastic sporks.I would return to further check out the awesome market, but I probably would skip the buffet

We went to this place many times before but usually tried their burgers or naan kababs, recently we've tried their Pakistani dishes like rice and curries and let me just say it was a huge disappointment. Their food doesn't taste good at all. I still recommend naan kabab and the burgers which are still good but how can they be so terrible with Pakistani dishes? Won't be eating those again.

I used to eat here regularly, but no more....the place is a shadow of its former self. During the pandemic, they understandably reduced their food offerings and eliminated the buffet, but a temporary adjustment has turned into a full-time disappointment. And while I can't confirm that the ownership changed as reported by others, I can attest to the customer service is much worse, and it's unprofessional...I just left after watching a worker eating while standing over the food. Luckily, there's a good option for Pakistani cuisine in West Sac, so this place won't be missed.

Chicken and kabobs are dry. Overall, the food is pretty inconsistent (sometimes it's okay but other times it's very bad). They also scam you with takeout. Ordered karaihi to go and was given chicken drenched in oil. Super gross! If you tell the chef that there is something wrong with the food he tries to justify his cooking skills by claiming that it's fine. If he does remake something, he acts like he is doing some favor on you. Honestly, feels pretty hostile sometimes. Also, the dine in area seriously lacks cleanliness.

Good food and quick service - used to be the place to go for Halal burgers back 20+ years ago and although many things have changed, their taste remains authentic. Great Paya and Samosas. Biryani - hit (when it has been properly low flame finished) or miss (when they rush it)
