If you're a middle eastern woman, don't go here. The men working there will treat you like scum. Also, they'll give you more meat than you asked for and then give you major attitude when ask them to take some out.

East West Foods has a very good variety of products including a lot of imported foods from the middle East and far East. They even have produce, cooking essentials and prayer rugs. But this review is mostly about the man that helped me at the store. He helped me find what I was looking for and suggested a different type of samosa than the one I picked out. I made them yesterday and they were delicious! I really appreciated him helping me find things and showing me what was good. Thank you!

My husband uses paneer dodi to make a tea. It helps keep glucose down and is a good fiber. Nice to have this store in our area so

As Salaamu Alaikum!These good people are always respectful and courteous when dealing with all customers.When I went for some Lamb and they were out, the butcher went into the back, grabbed a new slab and cut what I needed from it. Wonderful place!

Typo correction: 2nd gentleman said that I COULD NOT take pictures of the product prices. I am just now reading my original post for the 1st time and hadn't realized the mistake. And no, I wasn't taking pictures of their prices anyway. As I explained, I took one picture of the ingredients of one product.

I bought some snacks here and the cashier (an older man with beard), he kept overwriting the price that came up when scanned, he manually priced the item higher then the sticker price showed. When I ask him why he changed the price higher. He denied and said no I didn't. I showed him the transaction on his pos screen. He said okay I'm sorry I will delete and do again. It wasn't just one item, he did that to 3 of my items out of the 6 items. I'm never going back to this store, they cheat their customers thinking we won't know.

Great little shop for Indian foods and ingredients. Large selection and a casual, relaxed shopping environment.

This is a branch off the East West store in Sacramento. Same people, new store. They're slowly carrying the same things like bacon that the other store keeps in stock.
