My friend and I were looking for places in Sac for some pozole.. and this was a gem. amazing. They have two sizes, cup & bowl, and we got the bowl. The pozole was nice and hot, the meat was tender, and just packed with flavor as a whole. Chips & salsa bar on the side was more than enough to keep us filled too. I also got a chicken tortilla soup for takeout and it tasted just as good. Staff was so nice & friendly as well. I wish I knew when I'd be back because I dream about this place often, especially with the recent rain in SF.

Upon walking in, you do NOT get greeted nor do you get a simple "Hello" so don't come in expecting a welcoming gesture because you will not get one.The only food item I tried was the NACHOS which were very different, the cheese is not nacho cheese but more like a mozzarella cheese, the guacamole compensates for the cheese so is not so bad.The DRINKS were amazing! Specially the Lime margarita. The mango margarita was a little too spicy for my liking. The ATMOSPHERE was fine and very easy going which was probably because there were no customers but it was clean which is good. The STAFF is okay, I was there when it wasn't busy and I mean 0 customers other than myself and my friends and the time it took to get our drinks was horrible because they were all chatting it up instead of doing what they get paid for. I don't care if they chit chat but as long as the customers are taken care of. That should always be a priority no matter what.-1 STAR FOR POOR SERVICE-1 STAR FOR NOT BEING PROFESSIONAL

Was looking for a nearby Mexican place and this came up with decent rating so we tried it on a Sunday for lunch around 1230pm. Sadly we were the only people in the whole restaurant. They have all your basics. Most of the items are front and center like Chipotle with the back making the entrees. Hubs got a 2 taco combo and I got a 3 item with taco, enchilada, and tamale with rice n beans. You can opt for a soup or salad as a side. You order at the counter and they will bring it out to you. They have a wonderful chips n salsa bar. Everything was fresh and labeled!! Food was average but plentiful and I feel that it was a good value for what I paid. The meat was bland, but all ingredients were fresh. Tamale had a good moisture ratio as they are often dry at places. They had this puffy taco and birria that I would like to try next time. Service was also very friendly. Solid 4 stars. Nothing to complain about but nothing that made me say Mmmmnnnn or fantasize about.

This place is good. This is a Sacramento Mexican fast food / sit down chain. As far as I know, this chain is only in the Sacramento area, so it's worth checking out if you want Mexican but you are in a hurry. You get in line, you order your food, you get it pretty quickly. They have lunch specials during the week. I ordered two tacos, beef and chicken. With rice and beans. You get whatever typical toppings you want on the tacos (lettuce, onions, cilantro, etc). You pick a side of rice and beans, or soup. You also get a drink. It was $12 plus tax.It was worth it as I was in a hurry but wanted better tasting food. The steak was good. The chicken was meh. The refried beans had little to no flavor. You can go to a salsa bar and put whatever salsa and other minimal toppings you want. They can improve with the flavor of the chicken and refried beans.Honestly for the cost, I will return. It's good.

Food was good, no frills. Service was fast and courteous. The place had fun Don Quixote (from the book/musical) images painted around. Had a couple of spider webs above us but other than that it was good solid food. Would come here again.

The service was a little slow but once we got to ordering, the food was good. The asada tastes a little different to me than an authentic food truck type taco but no complaints. Chips are free and they have a condiment bar. The place wasn't very busy at all when we went Sunday afternoon for Father's Day. Only saw two workers servicing at the counter. Give this place a try if you want a snack while you're out and about

We probably eat here once a month. It's easy to order walking along the counter picking out your rice and toppings as you go. The staff is nice and helpful, if you need a hand bringing dishes to a table. The tostada bowl is my favorite; the shell is so crispy and tasty, especially with chili verde which has the perfect zing, soaking down into the rice and veggies. I'm told the pozole is one of the best, a must-try. They have good horchata, a salsa bar, specials like quesa birria. It feels like a family business here. We see pretty much the same staff whenever we go, and they are happy to see us. It has an authentic feel, the music is fun. It does need dusted on the ceiling fixtures.

I dont understand all the 4+ star reviews. Went for lunch recently just after they opened. Food is not cooked to order. Its chipotle style food in warming dishes. Chicken was dry as cardboard, tasteless. Counter service was fine. Nice atmosphere. But seriously, its about the food and I wouldnt go back. It just wasnt very fresh or warm.

Best Mexican restaurant in Natomas! Great when I don't want to go through the process of making my own Pazole! The nachos with carnitas and shrimp tacos are the greatest too
