The owner of our company (Jake)took me here for lunch on my anniversary of 7 years with the company for drinks and food- I had not been there before which I was surprised by myself. Stromboli - out of this world- pizza perfect old world taste and thin crust to die for service was great and the family style dining left enough room we were not in any bodies face during conversation nor were they in ours- five stars for sure- "I'll be back"End of review quote courtesy of Marquis Acting Star, former Governor of California and 3 time Mr. Universe Arnold Schwarzenegger.go eat here if you are hungry your hunger will be gone! if you go for lunch go at 11:15 don't wait till noon.

I want to like this place so much more! It's cozy, staff is super friendly, great bartenders. And the food itself is actually good - underneath the layers of sauce and dressing they drown it under! It's so hard to eat Theur caprese came out drenched in balsamic and covered by mounds of wet lettuce. . The dinner salad was good but I hardly ate any - it it wet with balsamic dressing and overpowering.. And my ravioli? Delicious - but I had to kindly ask if they could remove some sauce. You couldn't even see the pasta on the plate! My son's gnocchi with garlic and olive oil was SO intensely garlicky he couldn't even eat it. It burned your tongue! Even a chicken dish my husband got there another time? Drowned in a he sauce. Not sure why. Less is more! Sauces and dressings are accents to enhance. I hope and pray they stop drowning their delicious food and let us taste how awesome it is! Because I really like this neighborhood gem as an Italian myself, but won't be going as often as I'd like because of this issue. Hope the owners and chef take this feedback with all my best intentions to help them succeed!

Woooweee, no way to describe a loaded up Italian sandwich for lunch from Dominik's. Plus Pepe is the best server in the business. Get that guy a minute on Kill Tony and he's going famous.Much love Dominick's!

We dined in on our second visit. Small quaint dinning area, bar where you can eat as well. The bartender was our waiter and suggested I take half of the corned beef sandwich (whole order)to go,as the thing is huge and he wasn't kidding.. Only served on their house ciabatta sourdough ish type rolls. Sandwich was good filling, but a little dry served with just Mayo and mustard.Mrs had the grilled veggie sandwich with eggplant, zucchini, Sun dried tomatoes. A little too much going on,so she opted to remove a slice to make it manageable to eat, good not my favorite. Generous side salad, chocked full of peppers, onions tomatoes and a house vinaigrette. Fresh crunchy & plenty for two. Will return for some of the entrees that looked & smelled good on the surrounding tables..Service was excellent.

Really good Deli. People are super friendly. Kelly waited on us in the restaurant and was on top of any ask we had. Wife and I had different sandwiches and shared to get a taste of both. We ordered the fried ravioli to start and it came out hot and delicious. Ordered drinks and they were well poured. This was our second visit. First time we just visited the cold deli case and took home some Arancini and sauce. They were good as well. We will be back!! Outside seating as well.

There is another Italian place on this corner in Granite Bay, so I missed Dominick's the first time I drove by. Parking was tight at noon, too.Cozy, little dining room eventually filled up, but was not too noisy. Servers seemed to recognize their regulars. Our server seemed harried, but she tried to be friendly and attentive after she overheard my partner grumble about the service.I wasn't impressed with the food, though I really wanted pasta that day. We ordered the penne with arabiatta sauce (we didn't know there was an additional cost until the bill came!) and one with the vodka sauce. My dining partner said nothing about his meal. I was pretty sure that I could have fixed the penne and used canned sauce and gotten a better meal.No cheese was served on our table. We asked and received a shaker of powdered parmesan with so little flavor that we had to lift a second shaker from the service counter and empty that one, too. I can't remember for sure, but I think that nothing else was served except water.Kinda disappointed.

Ok so, I've only come to eat here a couple of times ever. The first being back in 2021. This is not far from the office and so, this would be an office lunch spot for me. With Italian cuisine being a very close 2nd favorite food of mine, and being married to an Italian, AND working for an old school Italian boss who let me know about this place, I was not mad at giving this a go. Plus, anything my boss recommends has always been a WIN....he knows good food!So my first time back in 2021, I decided to go with the lunch lasagna. Oh-my-me-oh-my!!! I'd not stopped thinking about that lasagna since!! With that, we recently took a client out for lunch here and I said that's all I could think about. Plus, with it having been so long since I initially tried it, I had to see if memory served me well. I'm not sure if I hyped it up too much, as both our client and the boss ordered it as well, along with an all-meat pizza and Caesar salad to share. The salad was incredible, yet simple! Client even commented how the dressing tasted homemade, and we couldn't agree more...it was DEE-licious. Then the pizza....oh boy was that really good too. The crust was not too thin but definitely not the thick crust I typically go with and enjoy. But a great pizza MUST have a great dough, and this did for sure! The pizza sauce was so good too and the meat toppings? YUMM!!! I noticed the sausage they had was actually sliced long-ways instead of the typical circle cut, which I've never seen before anywhere else. Also, not greasy at all! That can typically happen with an all-meat, ya know? Nope, not at Dominick's! Then the lasagna came out, SUPER hot, just the way I like my food! Since we were still eating our pizza slices, I decided to dip my crust in the lasagna sauce and OOOOH-EMMMM-GEEEE you guys!!! It was sooooo good! After finishing up my slice and waiting a few for the pasta to cool a bit, I couldn't wait long because it looked and smelled too good to not dig in. I cut myself a small edge square piece and 'scooped' it onto my fork. When I pulled it towards my mouth, I got that oh-yeah cheesy pull! You know what I'm talking about!! Signs of cheesy-goodness right there. I took my bite and it all came back to me......thank GOD it was still delectable and my tummy was super-duper happy! I made a comment that I need to bring Hubs here, who's familiar with Dominick's well-known reputation for having great food.I also forgot to mention that we didn't enter on the bar side, but actually through the deli side. And as SOON as you walk in, oh the aromas!!!! I quickly perused the market shelves at items for sale, then glanced in the deli case. Saw a plethora of tasty items, but I noticed arancini and almost considered ordering some of that to-go. Ended up not since I was bringing home most of my amazing lasagna since we were all so full from the salad and pizza! Took it home for Hubs to eat who initially said it was really salty. When I saw the bite he took, I told him "That's because all you ate was a big ol' part of the melty cheese!" LOL He ended up eating the rest (lucky him!) and did say it was well balanced.Lastly, about a week prior to that last visit, boss picked me up a sandwich from the deli, saying a business partner always orders the Wise Guy. So I gave it a try. It wasn't bad but the bread was a little hard on the outside. But they sure did load up on the meat & produce....quite good. I may order their Goodfella next time, not only because that may be one of my favorite Italian gangsta films ever, but it sounded REALLY good! lolWith all that, I TOTALLY recommend you give this wonderful family-owned small business a try if in the mood and in the area. I seriously doubt you'll be disappointed. It may not look like much on the outside, or inside for that matter (it's very old, classic, traditional Italian restaurant decor....very Italy!), but they sure do deliver on great food!!!

It has been a long hot minute since I've been to Dominick's. The long hot minute has been over 14 years ago. After having brunch at another restaurant in the same shopping center, I recalled Dominick's was across the way. So I mosey up into Dominick's to order a sandwich to go. Even though I don't dive into the sandwich until a few hours later...it was pretty darn tasty. Just as I remembered. The location houses a restaurant on one side and a deli on the other. The deli serves up fresh made hot and cold Italian sandwiches, paninis, calzones, whole pizza pies, and deli items (that included olives, pasta salad, caprese salad, and Silician rice balls that are baseball size). The deli has no indoor seating, but there is an outdoor patio. Hubs and I had no clue about the ordering protocol. But we found out the hard way. There was no one behind the deli counter, so we stood in the cashier's line where other people were queued up. When it was our turn at the register, the cashier asked if we ordered yet. We said no, he advised us that orders are taken at the counter. He walked back with us to the far left counter (under the menu board) and took our order. There is only one type of sandwich bread they use, it's a hard crust Italian bread loaf. The size choices are one bread or two. Two bread is basically a large that's cut in half. He asked what sandwich toppings we "didn't want" while pointing to the menu fixings option. Then he gave the hand written order to the two working the food prep. The cashier walked us back to the register to pay. Onto the food. We got a custom order sandwich with salami, capicola, mortadella, and provolone cheese. The deli meats tasted like quality stuff. The bread tasted great. It was rustic and crusty having a substantial chew. It had a bit more of a chew than I prefer for my aging teeth. But it was delicious!

Hey east coasters!!! Longing for an authentic Italian deli sandwich? Well, look no further... Dominick's in Granite Bay, CA has a muffuletta sandwich that is better than all of the New York and Philly area delis that is unbeatable in quality and price. In the last ten years when a craving for authentic deli sandwiches strikes, this has been my go to.The service is amazing and the sandwiches are sliced/made fresh on the spot. The deli meats are the best you can get west of the Mississippi. They also have a full Italian menu for family feasts so you can bring the kiddos too. There is outside seating in the deli area or inside seating at the attached restaurant/bar next door.I highly recommend Dominick's especially for the east coasters looking for that authentic deli taste that the sandwich chains will never be.
