Awesome Korean restaurant that was well worth the money. They provided delicious side dishes on top of the large portions. I had gotten the kimchi fried rice, hot stone Bimbap, and doobu kimchi. All of those dishes were so savory and worth my money. The plum tea they provided at the end was refreshing and a nice way to end the dinner.

Of all the Korean places I've been to in Rancho Cordova, Doma is my new favorite! I came here after it was highly recommended by a work acquaintance -- apparently her Korean boyfriend had been highly tempted to gatekeep the spot bc of how authentic and delicious it is. A few highlights / why it is my new go-to Korean spot: * Quality banchan ofc * Combo meals - I always love a good soondubu esp during the wintertime but often face the dilemma of a dry vs wet entree. At Doma, there's no need to choose as their combo consists of an entree with a mini soondubu on the side so you get the best of both worlds! * A+ service~ the second time I dined here, I was in a hurry because we were trying to squeeze in dinner prior to catching a flight so I called in advance to put in our order and the workers graciously expedited our meal -- there was a reserved table waiting for us when we arrived and the food (banchan, bossam and soondubu) all came out promptly so that we were somehow in and out with our bellies happily full in less than 20 minutes!! The cherry on top is that they gave us the complimentary post-meal plum tea in a to-go cup (: Doma has definitely earned the #1 spot on my roster among the many Korean places in the area and as tempted as I am to gatekeep it as well, this place deserves absolutely all the hype coming its way!

Came here on a Friday night around 7PM and the store was packed. The store is pretty small and we were told there was a 40 minute wait which we agreed to. What confused us is that we were able to sit down about after 5 minutes because there were empty tables in the back but the workers did not check before telling us about the 40 minute wait time.It took about 20 minutes for the food to come out after we ordered. My partner got the tofu soup and galbi combo and I got a tofu soup. I would recommend getting the combo instead! The combo comes with a smaller tofu soup, but you get to try two items on the menu instead of one. The tofu soup was good, but nothing out of the ordinary for us. However, we really enjoyed the galbi! It was well marinated and tender.

I recently visited Doma for the first time with a friend, and it was his first time trying out Korean food. We stopped by for lunch last week on a Monday around 13:30 and the place was packed! Luckily, a table was available for us but it took some time until a server could provide us with menus and take our order because it was so busy. We had the dolsot bibimbap, cheese tteokbokki, bibim guksu, and jjajangmyeon, and each dish had enjoyable flavors. The bibimbap came out hot and crispy along with a sauce bottle for more spice, and the cheese tteokbokki was a good combination of creamy and chewy. The bibim guksu was tangy and cool (lol my friend was NOT expecting cold noodles), and the jjajangmyeon had a good balance of savory goodness. The portions were massive--so big that the entire table was covered with food! It's definitely a great value for the amount of food you get, and there were plenty of complimentary sides provided to pair with the main dishes. We also enjoyed a complimentary cold plum tea, which was a refreshing and thoughtful touch. The customer service was also great, despite the busyness. The servers were friendly, and attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. Plus, everything I ordered came out exactly as requested--great attention to detail! One thing to note: I ordered the jjajangmyeon for takeout, and it only came with 3 sides instead of the usual variety. Also, it was charged at the regular price rather than the lunch special price, but the server gave me an advance notice before I placed the order. Still, everything tasted good. While I was pretty satisfied with everything I ordered, I did want to try the soondubu soup, but didn't get the chance this time around. Based on other reviews, it looks amazing, so I'm looking forward to coming back and giving it a try! That being said, while everything was fantastic in terms of taste, both my friend and I felt that the food could have used a bit more spice, hence the 4 star rating. I was able to adjust my spice with the sauce bottle for my bibimbap but the rest of the dishes were ordered were very tame. If you like your food on the milder side, this place will be perfect for you. But if you're someone who loves the heat, you might want to ask for extra spice. Still, a great experience overall, and I'll be back to try the soondubu!

I went here for a quick lunch and they had $9.99 lunch specials. I tried their Jajangmyeon and it was good but nothing special about it. The noodles were nice and smooth and they give enough sauce to cover the noodles well. The sauce is only veggies but given the price it was definitely worth it. I was sad the jajangmyeon only comes with 3 side dishes: radish kimchi, regular kimchi and yellow pickled radish. They do give you some sort of refreshing sweet tea at the end and their barley tea was delicious and served in a cute cup I'll have to go again next time and try something different on their menu. They also have a catering business on the side and can make large orders of almost anything on their menu. They don't have an official catering menu but if you ask the front they can give you pricing on specific items that you might want

1/24/25 3.7 establishment overall. Friday Family DinnerWe saw Doma Korean Restaurant recently grand opened in the area so planned to come for our Friday Family Dinner this week so we can try these raw marinated crab specialty! Utensils are available at the table. We ordered 2 appetizers, 1 chef recommended specialty, 1 combo meal, 1 big soup to share and 1 bottle of black rasberry wine.Dishes listed below came out in this order:The banchan and steamed rice came out first.-Banchan options were great and tasted fresh. Down-side was all servings were extremely light for our family of 4. $23.99 Chicken Katsu + Tofu Soup (Seafood) 4/5 Chicken Katsu - crispy/sauce was good5/5 Seafood Tofu Soup - flavorful seafood broth$18.99 Tteokbokki (spicy rice cake + fish cake)3/5 while tteokbokki was the right texture, there wasn't enough fish cake and sauce was ok. Came with a hard boiled egg. You can add cheese and ramen for $4.$22.99 Galbi Tang3/5 This soup was good when it initially came out hot but it got cold pretty quick. Came with 3 short ribs. Was ok overall. To be fair, we settled on ordering this soup. What we really wanted was a big Spicy Seafood Tofu soup but it was not an option under soup menu. There was a seafood hot pot option that serves 2-3 people for double the price. $27.99 Fried Chicken Combo (3 flavors)4/5 We could not decide on 1 flavor to try for $20.99 so decided to have all 3. Yangnyum (Korean chili sauce), Kkanpunggi (soy sauce with sweet & sour) or Lemon Pepper. Appears to be all thigh or dark meat pieces. Kids favorite was lemon pepper.others were ok.$27.99 Yangnyum Gyejang (spicy raw crab)4/5 This was the last dish to arrive at the table and it is a raw dish. All the pictures and video review I saw of this dish had me really excited. The flavor was on point and as I imagined. I was partially disappointed in the amount of crab that was in the dish. Half the dish was the marinade and peppers. We did ask for more Banchan and as it was refilled, it was very light portions. 3/5 The server was nice. The person that took our order did check on us once mid meal. We had to not only ask for water refills and napkins not once but twice. Prices were as expected for most dishes. We were happy to have come, support and tried this new establishment. On the fence if we would come back with many Korean options around the area.

I had been wanting to try out this restaurant in-person and specifically during the lunch hours. The menu includes lunch specials between 11am - 3 pm Monday - Friday. I thought it would be a great way to taste different items off the menu.I ordered the bulgogi (comes with white rice) and my companion chose the udon. There seemed to be a good selection of items and of course, you could order from the full menu as well.I love to see what kind of banchan will be offered. There were 8 side dishes brought to our table. Shortly our meals were served. The udon had delicious vegetable toppings included and the broth was tasty. The bulgogi had great flavor in the marinade and was a decent portion. The banchan helped round out my meal as I ate a bite here and there to change up my meal (spicy, salty, and sweet).Next time for sure I'm ordering the Korean banquet noodles. I saw a large table (of at least 8) and more than half placed that order. I was so curious what it was I asked the waitress and she confirmed my guess. Guess that means I will need to visit again soon. The seating area of the restaurant can be limiting when it's mealtimes. The tables filled up and I saw patrons needing to wait to be seated. I'd say the staff did a good job keeping up with all tables. I was able to have my water refilled and the waitress did ask how everything was. When we asked for our bill the waitress said she would also bring out some tea. I didn't realize a complimentary tea was offered at the end of the meal. It was an iced tea that had a fruity flavor and was slightly sweet. It was delicious. The parking lot was right outside the restaurant with plenty of spaces. Just be careful as the spaces could be narrow.

Walked in on a Friday night and it was pretty busy. We didn't have to wait long to get seated. Food: 10/10. The tofu soup was rich and hearty. Satisfied my soup craving that day perfectly! The kimchi Korean pancake was so good! When we order this at other restaurants, we usually have about half as leftover. There was something about this one that just made us unable to stop eating.

I went there on a Monday night for a bumble bff app friend first time meet up. The restaurant is small and clean. The bathroom was a bit dirty on the floor though. The service was good. They brought out the side dishes and rice fairly quickly after we ordered. The girl I was with ordered the spicy pork and tofu soup combo and spicy cold noodles Bibimguksu and I ordered galbi tang. There were huge portions for the Bibimguksu and galbi tang. I barely put a dent in my soup and had a lot leftover! They gave big pieces of meat on the bone. I tried some of the Bibimguksu and it was good. At the end of the meal, they brought out plum tea and it was very refreshing! Everything seems homemade. Overall, I want to go back and try more items!

Party of 4 came for dinner on Saturday and had no wait. Before coming in, we called in requesting the galbijim to reduce wait time in-person. The dish takes 30-40 minutes to make but it is so worth it. The beef is very tender, almost melt in your mouth. The dish also has carrots, potatoes, mushrooms, and rice cakes - all perfectly complement each other. We also ordered the seafood pajeon, spicy raw marinated crab, and bulgolgi stew to share. This was more than enough food for 4, maybe even too much. The seafood pajeon was crispy and had a lot of different seafood pieces. The spicy raw marinated crab has a very nice kick to it. Be warned, this dish is messy to eat. They provided complimentary plum tea at the end of our meal which is a great way to cut all the spice we had.Place is clean and service was very quick here. Definitely adding to our places of go-to Korean restaurants!
