Discovery Tree Schools- Capital City

We did a fair amount of research into local day cares in the area and as soon as we toured Discovery Tree we knew our daughter had to go here. Fast forward to over a year later and she has been at DT for about 7 months in the infant room and we are so happy with our decision. The staff are friendly and provide great care and attention to the children. Even in the infant room they make sure to provide age appropriate structure and themes for each day and week and provide a wide variety of activities for the kids to enjoy. They utilize the parent app a lot so we have a good idea of what our child is doing throughout the day and a lot of fun photos. Most importantly our daughter loves it. She is wiggling in excitement when we are walking up and always looking around to wave goodbye to her teachers when we leave.

our little boy started this school in the beginning of the year. it was a big leap of faith for us to put him here. his previous daycare was becoming more and more awful by the week. we had to make a change and quickly. I work for the state and my coworkers told me about this place. after the first tour with the incredible director, I actually cried. this place was a breath of fresh air. it was so much better than my kid's previous daycare. the director was so loving to myself and my son. they have taken impeccable care of my son since the day he started. he struggled immensely over potty training at school. the director took so much time to work with my son one on one. she completely respected and saw what he needed to feel comfortable and made that happen. this school has a great app where pictures and notifications are constantly posted. they are always in communication about food that was or was not eaten, potty time, nap time, everything. and they are always just a message away with a very very quick response time. the first few weeks and even month of drop offs were so hard to see my son cry but I was always relieved seeing pictures within 20 minutes of him playing and smiling. it was the most comforting thing to me. I couldn't be happier that we made the change to go to this school. they have truly been a godsend to me and my family, especially my son. I would recommend this care facility to anyone.

Our little one started at Discovery Tree - Capital City in November of 2022. From the start we were welcomed with open arms and big smiles. As a first time mom, I was very nervous to leave my little one in the care of someone else and I quickly learned there was no reason to be nervous. DTCC is a great little family with open communication and a loving and respectful director and staff. Our daughter has adjusted well and gets excited to go to school and see her teachers and friends. The app used is great, we get regular updates and pictures throughout the day which makes my heart happy! We highly recommend Discovery Tree - Capital City.

Our family absolutely LOVES Discovery Tree! The diversity of both staff and the children who attend are a plus. Our son stayed home with Grandma until he was 15 months old and started here in the infant room and transitioned well. The staff are very loving to each baby/toddler, they are SO clean and organized, I am confident he is in good hands. He is now in the Toddler room and loving it. I love the app that comes directly to our phones - we get updates and can see pictures of what the children are doing throughout the day, from breakfast/play time to lunch/nap time and even each time a diaper is changed. We communicate with the teachers throughout the day if need be. Our son has never had a rash of any kind - in fact, the day he did have a blow out, they bathed him up, moisturized his skin and he was all clean for Mommie when I came to pick him up. The breakfast, lunch and snack are delicious, they do their laundry daily (which impressed me) and the building is super secure. The day our son had a bad hair day, I messaged the Director and the next pictures were his hair being fixed :) This is long but necessary - love the Director and all the teachers. Kapria and her staff do such an amazing job. Our daughter absolutely loves it there and is excited each day we drop her off. We couldn't ask for more in a childcare setting. We're updated constantly and get video'd in for milestones like her first steps. I wish we could give way more than 5 stars.

Transitioning our 10 month old daughter to daycare was so easy with the help of the school director and all of the infant teachers. It can be hard to let others care for your baby, but everyone at DT looks after my daughter with attentiveness and love. She now loves going to school each day and we're grateful to be in the DT family!

Amazing place with amazing people! All of the staff here are great they work one on one to figure out a plan that works specifically for your child and they are so good at keeping us parents involved with daily activities through pictures and messages. I would recommend this day care to everyone!

The director kapria is no longer here however the new director Abby and her staff Haley and Anastasia are all AMAZING and wonderful humans

After visiting several other childcare locations and feeling a little underwhelmed with my choices I came across Discovery Tree School downtown location. The initial phone call went very well. I didn't want to get my hopes up, but I was hopeful and eager to visit. I must say that the visit exceeded all of my expectations. The coordinator (Kapria) and staff have been a joy and pleasure to work with. The cleanliness of the classrooms, the communication with me and attention they pay to my son is outstanding and second to none. I am extremely pleased with my decision to enroll my son. I can't enough good things. 5 stars

Our 2 boys were at Discovery Tree capital city for over a year and the teachers were always kind and caring and treated us like family. The play structure and sand area were favorites of our children as well as well as all of the arts and crafts!
