The service is awesome, huge portions of yummy food , great place for big groups or just a couple..

I ate breakfast on a late Sunday morning. It's an old school cafe/ restaurant setting and the food is delicious. I ordered Chicken Fried Steak and Eggs with crispy hash-browns. The plate was filled and the best part was they did not drown the food in gravy. The gravy was a good flavor add to the plate. I'll return for another breakfast for sure!

Stopped by with family for breakfast over the weekend. Great food, service and ambiance all around. Their bacon was thick, their French toast was fluffy, and their potatoes were fried to a perfect crisp. Definitely recommend it if you're in the area.

This is a FANTASTIC FIND!!! I used to own a landmark cafe and actively search for great cafes and diners. I'm happy to write this review because the Diamond Springs Hotel has become my new favorite breakfast stop. My restaurant had the best chicken fried steak and gravy and the Diamond Springs Hotel is the closest I have found to how my gravy tasted. Their chicken fried steak is pounded out by hand, breaded, and fried to crisp, juicy perfection! Their cook actually knows how to cook over medium eggs perfectly and turnaround time from the kitchen was great. No long, excruciating wait for service or food. There is also a nice patio behind the restaurant so we were able to have our puppy with us. Both times we have eaten at DSH we have had GREAT service, always with a smile . The only suggestion I have to make is that they serve richer coffee. Their coffee is a little lackluster and good breakfasts demand delicious coffee. Other than the coffee everything is above par and we'll be back!

We ate there tonight based on a recommendation. Food was terrific. I said to my husband- they make the rolls here. He said how do you know? I said I just know. And yes they do. The chicken piccata and prime rib were bellissimo!

Not the best service, unfortunately. Food was home cooking because tasted like it came from cans. Ambiance rather dumpy. Definitely needs a face lift.

Food, too much served that was burnt. country potatoes, french toast- both had burned flavor. bacon had no flavor, which is weird. Have been here over the years and always happy, but definitely not this time!

The food was great. Big portions! Lots of scratch made items. Classic diner food served in an old school place. Waitress was sweet and attentive. Plus they are certified haunted

Nice find for breakfast. Food was very good ( sausage patty, biscuit w/ gravy), but staff and atmosphere are outstanding and just the best for an old gold county hotel Restuarant.On my go to list when in the area!

Had dinner tonight and it was really good and reasonable. I had Prime Rib on special-it was about $29 complete with soup or salad-vegetable (real ones); baked potato with all the fixings; horseradish; dinner roll and I took some home! My husband had a beer and full dinner as well and we came in under $60. The Prime Rib was great. The meatloaf was great. We went away with extras and full. Will go again! The service was great and it is a comfy welcoming atmosphere.
