Played for the first time. Surprisingly I was positively impressed by the course. Surprised because this Roseville owned golf course is in much better shape than the other city muni course Woodcreek. I played Woodcreek last week, the course is in poor condition. The practice driving range is an absolute shit show with blasting hard rock music from giant speakers mounted on the ball machine shed.Back to Diamond... Nice greeting at desk from a happy employee. Gave me the basic information. I walked the course and pushed my trolley.Fairways in decent shape. Drives roll out nicely. The putting greens are slow but smooth. Most have interesting undulations so that competent green reading skills are a must if you want to 2 putt.Pretty much a wide open course. A 20 handicap hacker won't loose too many balls. The sparse amount of trees rarely come into play unless you shank a drive into the next fairway over.Bunkers actually have sand in them enough to give a decent chance to get the ball out without skulling it across the green.$31 for senior walking before 1:00pm. After 1:01pm green fee is $25. The quality to price ratio is good. My home course is Timber Creek in Del Webb Sun City Roseville. Green fee there is almost double the price. I think that I'll become a Diamond Oaks regular because at the price I can afford to play 3 times / week.

Well, we were in Southern California near Los Angeles visiting two of our 13 grandbabies, beautiful weather and we found this golf course that was so reasonably priced. I couldn't believe it for California rates.

Played last week with mixed results.Course was in fair condition. Way better than Woodcreek but nothing special. Greens below average with a lot of brown fairways.Paid $40 with Teeoff for a 10 AM midweek tee time with cart. Get that it's 2023 but that is overpriced. Would be overpriced for a weekend. That said this is a very pretty course that everyone can play. Makes Woodcreek look even more pathetic

Practice greens closed Driving Range back fence on ground , over 100 yards worth. Some still hanging up. No tape or signs or anything protecting golfers from the other part falling all the way down. The fairways were brown as could be. No mention at time of booking the course was unplayable. I can't believe the employee at the desk had the gall to take my money. She stole from me. The city of roseville is ripping people off that are trying to play golf.

I've played this course in the past and it was fairly decent. However, when I played last weekend, there was no mention of how bad the course conditions were when booking the round. Nothing on their website and no mention at check-in. When I got to the first tee box, I realized the fairways were all dormant, brown, matted grass. The restrooms at hole 3 were out of order. The bunkers had no fresh sand in them and were unplayable, there were fallen trees littering the course, and even the back of the range netting had completely collapsed. I understand there have been storms and tons of rain, but you need to let people know about these conditions before booking a $44 round late in the day. I also noticed they started aerating the greens, but there is no mention of this either. This should have been a $25-30 round.

Robyn's review below mine is just not true! Pro Shop staff is awesome, whenever I am in there I have only ever heard them answering phones with the BEST customer service. Had a terrible experience at the course, and Alex made me and my husbands unfortunate experience like it never happened. He is the only reason we keep coming back. Alex is the best. On behalf of the course, very player friendly for men and woman. Always in fairly good shape in comparison to other courses in the area. Good targets on driving range and nice putting and chipping area.

Take Alex off the phone he is a total jerk. By the way, if you want them to know they're playing at diamond Oaks you may want to have Alex say welcome to diamond Oaks. Can I help you instead of going yeah what do you want? With no mention of where you're calling so you don't even know if you're getting to the course

Pro shop employees won't book singles over the phone, tell you to show up and they will get you out in 20 minutes, then when you show up they tell you you can't play for over 2 hours when there's posted openings on their website. To top it off they are rude and snide when turning you away.

I love this golf course. It's close by home. Simple course and love the driving range. Food at Legends is good. A little overpriced. But good service all around

I can't speak for the course. Although I was a member of the men's club on two different occasions, both for several years, I haven't played the course in some time; age has confined me to nine holes on a regulation course, possibly 18 on an executive type, but I'd rather do the former. I do, however, frequently use DO's practice facilities. Both the putting and chipping greens are in good shape, and the mats are mats. Nothing good, bad, or indifferent about them. The fallen fence some reviewers alluded to is long gone and was clear at the back of the range; a non-factor except for people whose yards got some balls from long hitters. What irked me most about the bad reviews was the complaints about the pro shop. I walk in, tender my range card, and tell them I want a small bucket. There's not an iota of the alleged rudeness and favoritism evidenced in some reviews. The group which the guy claimed was a victim of racism showed up 4 minutes late and thereby forfeited their tee time. That he complained people who checked in 15 minutes before their times were being processed proves the ignorance of that individual, since as anyone who plays golf should know, that's about the right time to do so; more obviously if you want to warm up.
