We went here with our 3 and 5 year olds today. Pros:1. Small play area, but still lots of room to play. Easy to keep an eye on the kids.2. Bathrooms are right there, just outside of the play area.3. Friendly help desk ladies.4. Clean5. Hand pedal trains were a huge hit, and they left my kiddos exhausted.6. We forgot socks, they brought us some to borrow, they were clean and fresh.7. Not crowded at all.Cons:1. Small play area, no where to really run around.2. TVs were ALL over the place. The play area had 5. Yes, 5, in a maybe 30x30' room. We requested they be turned off, as we were the only people there and were told no. When another family came the volume got turned up and it was uncomfortably loud, as well as fighting with the kids to keep them playing rather than watching tv. They really need to remove the TVs, there is absolutely no reason to have TVs in a play area.4. The slide is really fast, which means that kids come hurtling out the end and fall. We pulled over some of the bean bag chairs and let the kids slide into them.Overall it was a good experience and we will go back. Although I really wish they'd reconsider their 'policy' of not turning the TVs off. It's ridiculous that when we were the only people there they still insisted they stay on. We went to let the kids play, not watch Disney Jr.

Great place for kids to play and parents to visit or relax. Stayed a couple of hours. No problems at all. Love how we can keep our kids in view while they play on our own.

My name is Melody Holmes. My son's name is Chrystian Crowell. We went to the Bike and Toy Giveaway on December the 11th. I went with my three children and my grandbaby. We met Bobby Jackson and didn't get to take a picture because the phone died. But my point of this story is that my son Chrystian didn't get his bike. I am shouting out to all the parents who are in the same predictiment as me. I called and emailed Destiny Community Center and basically I was told if I couldn't get help from Isador Cohen Elementary then Chrystian can't get his bike. I talked with Bridget, Michelle and I even emailed Miss Felicia who was in coordination of this event. For them to be a church representing Sacramento they sure as hell didn't care about my personal troubles as a single parent. So I may have to take off work today to go get this bike just so my baby can have at least one toy for Christmas. I may not even get this permanent position because of all the extras I am being sent through this Christmas. My faith is very freaky low and this church community representing Sacramento thats giving back to Sacramento-Destiny Community Center- just made my hope get even freaking lower. I am so tired of Church's using the Lord and Jesus to fit their own agendas. When speaking with Miss Michelle this morning at the number below (916) 780-2273, she acted completely obnoxious. Told me that it was told to the parents that if we didn't participate in the December 11th giveaway we wouldn't get a bike. We did participate, we sat there for 4 1/2 hours watching the BMX show, the Sac Kings Break dancers and the Sac King cheerleaders. I am so upset as a parent. I don't know how others feel but Destiny Community Center isn't what they said to be there. "Leaving no child behind, No Family Behind" that is a bunch of crock.
