Desi Bazaar

Over priced items. Shoppers should be extra careful and check the best before date and many items here are older than the best before date. Other Indian stores in the vicinity have lower prices for the same items.

I purchased 6 items they charged me for 7 items (8.99 extra ) they r big ripoff do not shop at this location Cashier name Sireesha

I gave a review for India Bazar in Folsom (404 E Bidwell St. Folsom, CA 95630) since the sign is still saying India Bazar but it is actually now Desi Bazaar...Experienced the worst customer service ever in my 40+ years in the US. Went shopping there Saturday night with my sister and as always, there are no prices listed on majority of the items in the store. Still purchased what we needed and went to to pay. Had to wait 5+ minutes for the owner (Krishna) of the store to come. My sister asked him why they still don't have the prices on the items. He stated that they are working on it. My sister told him that is the same answer she has gotten every time she goes there. Apparently he didn't like us questioning him and started getting rude, loud and saying that if you don't like the prices you see when he rings it up on the register we don't have to buy it. My sister said that is not the point. There should be prices on everything so we can see it before we purchase anything like any other normal stores. He got even more irate and stated if you don't like it then you don't have to buy from there & that he owns the store and he doesn't have to sell us his stuff. Another customer waiting to buy his items told him to calm down. I told him to stop his irate behavior and just finish my order so we can go as we don't have time for his arguing with us. He thinks that he is back in India and can talk to his customers any which way he can. I truly believe he didn't like to hear a woman telling him anything that is wrong with what he is doing at his store. NO RESPECT FOR WOMEN. We told him to keep his stuff and left the store. Not sure if he thinks we are uneducated women and should not be speaking or giving our opinion.We went to Malabar instead which has all the prices listed for every single item. Plus, the produce items are much better at Malabar than Indian Bazar. Will definitely be going there from now on.I would hope that anyone that goes to India Bazar should think twice before going there. PLEASE SUPPORT WOMEN WHO DESERVE TO BE RESPECTED AND HAVE THEIR OPINOIN MATTER.
