Amazing place. I visited with my cousin who's a member and this place is really exquisite. The employees are very professional and kind, my experience was great. I really enjoyed myself, it's nestled in an area that's not great though there's nice neighborhoods surrounding the riffraff. Once your in, you forget about the rest, I encourage you to stop by and check this place out. I might be joining soon!

My mother's memorial service was held here this past weekend. Kelly was our correspondent. I could not have asked for a better, more well-arranged set up. Oddly enough, we were fortunate to have had rainy weather and an almost completely open parking lot as we had a few hundred people attend.Even though I could never afford membership here, they did an amazing job and I cannot thank them enough for that. I know my mother feels the same way.Thank you.

Food is pretty good, and they have a decent wine list. I've eaten here maybe a dozen times, and I'd eat here again. What brings down the score for me, is the facilities, and the staff. The course has really wide fairways!! Well kept, and pretty. The clubhouse and staff is what needs help. Opened in 1916 or so, and the decor is from the opening day!!! I think a couple of the servers are as well! Serious update needed! Typical good ole' boys club. Play schedule really restricted. Men and women have different times available. Also restricted on different levels on membership. I was considering becoming a member, but when I saw how many rules and restrictions there were - I went elsewhere. They think they're the S**T, but they're sooooo far behind the times. Cater to retired white guys in a nutshell.

I spent a few days here attending the U.S. Senior Open. LOW DOWN ON PARKING-First off I want to talk about parking since that was my first challenge. Parking was very limited at and around the CC for this particular event. It seems you needed to either be a member or have a special parking permit as I was told by security. Most of the roads were blocked off anyways. However they did provide a fast shuttle service from Cal Expo to the CC. The shuttle was your basic school busses that dropped you off at the front main gate of the event. Unfortunately the busses were not air conditioned , unless you were riding on the handicapped bus equipped with ramp and lift. Soooo if you were traveling to the event with gramps or grams or had a amigo in a wheel chair you got to ride in luxury ;)ENTRANCE-The entrance was packed but the security moved people through efficiently. With the occasional dud that held up the line complaining about they couldn't bring in their over sized Prada bag in and bags of food and drink. However the USGA had strict rules for this event which were printed on the backs of your tickets... Which I did read before I attended so I knew what I could and couldn't bring in. * tip of the day read the rules before attending* EVENT-The grounds were beautiful and the course was manicured and groomed to perfection. I was very surprised to see since we are in a serious drought. There was a Kaiser tent set up with free sunscreen in case you forgot to bring some with you, all the days I attended it was 104+ every day! Very hot and easily to become a victim of sun burn and heat exhaustion. There was bottled water for sale and other drink options for purchase. I advise bringing a CLEAR water bottle (as printed on the rules) and use the refill stations around the course. The food and drinks were kind of pricey. If you spent all day at the event Like I did you became hungry and thirsty very fast. The options were to purchase in site or you were able to get stamped to exit and return to the event. Down the road were places to get snacks or subway mc Donald's (cheaper options). STAFF-The staff along the course was helpful and mind you they were mostly volunteers! So please be kind to them , as they were there to assist everyone and gave their free time to be there. They were easy to spot wearing purple CC shirts. I did however in the days I attended noticed that most of them were expecting special treatment to the rules it was kind of funny to watch them give security a hard time about them being a volunteer and so the rules shouldn't apply to them. Very comical to see an elderly person use their walker to rush the gate and disregard the bag policy and food and drink policy. I think the majority of the people giving security a hard time was the volunteers. (Can't wait till I'm a senior citizen so I can act out too!) Rules are placed by USGA not the security as I heard them repeat over and over as the elderly woman tried to sneak her camera wrapped in napkins though the gate entrance lol! Nice try though I admit. Absolutely no cameras tablets at anytime were allowed. Cell phones on silent please. MERCHANDISE-A trip to the merchandise store at the main entrance was an expensive trip but they had plenty to choose from from men's clothing women's and children's. They also offered a free bag check for the items you purchased. So no need to walk around all day carrying the precious merchandise that your kids(by kids I meant husbands mostly) cried that they couldn't live without, and then didn't want to carry it lol. I do want to add that also at the main entrance there was a bag check for the things you arrived with and couldn't bring in (for the ppl that didn't read the rules) OVER ALL-The experience I had was good I had fun it was very HOT and could make for a long day of walking the course. I saw many ppl being treated by ems staff for heat exhaustion. The food I did purchase was edible and expensive , the shuttle I took was quick and easy. The golf game I really enjoyed and the grounds were kept clean. It was a enjoyable time for all except the occasional granny and her napkin camera lmao she was mad and the countless women who showed up with giant diaper bag sized purses that were turned away or referred to check their bags at the main entrance. I would attend future events at this CC. I hope this helps for future patrons.

Went there for a swim meet. My husband and I were thinking about becoming members. That was until we meet the RUDE guard at the gate. African American female. Worked on the night of 7-11-19. She was rude. Waved her arms in the air at my mother and talked back to me. Other families complained about how rude she was too. Won't spend my money at a place that hires people like her. She was even mean before she asked if we were members and got worse when we said no. People at entrances should be more welcoming. Like the African American man that worked the gate before her. He was nice and had a smile. She should be re-trained by him.

What an impressive venue! Attended a private event and was blown away. Their customer service is something that every business in the service industry should strive for. They went out of their way to ensure our event was a bang up success, without being obsequious. The dinner service was impeccable, quick but unobtrusive, the dinner was delicious and the drinks were generous. Makes me with I had a membership here.
