Day Break Cafe

12/14/2024This place screwed up my orders so much in the past I stopped going. A sign said it was under new ownership so I thought I'd give them another shot. I ordered the chicken fried steak with two scrambled eggs, hash browns, and toast. What I got was chicken fried steak, two over easy eggs, and no hash browns. Every good review has to be friends and family as I have never had anything right here. Even with the new ownership, they still screw it up. I should've just went with the new Northridge breakfast (same meal is a dollar cheaper) than give this dive another chance at not screwing up.

Just had brunch. Chicken fried steak and eggs with hash browns. Hash browns were nice and golden since they make them with clarified butter. I loved them Coffee was good and the atmosphere was cozy. Will be back for sure.

LOVE. Daybreak Cafe is delicious! I believe they have new owners now. But their lovely server, Cindy, still works there. Corn beef hash-excellent! "Penn-Tucky scramble-scrumptious! My friend ordered the ham and cheese omelet both times because he loved it so much. Large portions, enough to take some home. Ultra crispy home fries. Biscuits and peppery gravy. Oh yum. And! They use the Corning-ware plates my Mom used have when I was little, Sweet. Clean. Cute. 5 Stars All Day.

This was an absolute mess. My BLT had bacon so tough I couldn't chew through it. So much mayo that it slopped all over the plate. My partner had the burger and it was a saucy mess. So much that it made the bun fall apart. I hear this is a new owner and I wonder why she got into the restaurant biz.

Ordered the eggs benedict. Toast was burt, Canadian bacon was fatty and the poached egg looked like a flat tire. I almost just left without eating the meal. Two stars because thw staff were friendly.

New Owner, New team , new cook, friendly waitstaff and the food is good and reasonable...just what a breakfaster dinner should be!!!

Great food! The new owner really rocked it. We ate every last bite. The price was reasonable, the cafe was inviting, and the food was delicious.

Went to Day Break for the first time in a while since we heard they were under new ownership. They have cleaned, painted and added so many plants and it looks so good. The menu has changed and breakfast was very good! The new owner is so nice!

Inside is very dirty (old dirt caked in visible areas where we ate, saw very old coffee behind the counters), overpriced ($16 for a breakfast burrito). Service was very good.
