Not much to say. I like coming here when I need to go to a convenience store. It's not trashy like others. The pavement is clean. Usually open parking. The store itself is clean. The workers are very friendly and greet you. But I do advise anyone coming here to be on high alert. This street and the shopping center across from it is extremely sketchy. Always something rough happening. The billiards right across has had shootings very recently. A year or so ago. There was an attempted kidnapping.

These guys are fantastic. My husband and I live down the street, so we stop in often for a bottle of red wine, a delicious Belgian ale, or last minute supplies for a spontaneous BBQ with friends. Not only do they know the both of us by name, but they also always look genuinely happy to see us. If my husband isn't with me, they will ask how he is and vice versa. On the rare times that I stop in at night alone (on my way home from a long day at work) they'll keep an eye outside for me as I walk to and from my car. It isn't the safer block around.Good guys. =]

It looks pretty desserted approaching the store, but inside is overwhelmed with selections.I dislike driving around downtown sac during commuter hours so I'm happy I found this little gem. They have a wide selection of beers, wines and other liquors. I don't personally drink alcohol (only rare and special occasions) and the gentleman who was working today had helped me choose 3 different types of beer. My boyfriend enjoys alcohol, especially tasting different types of beer so I got 3. I was hoping they would have more unique looking beers (the bottles specifically) but he recommened beers that you can't find at grocery stores or many liquor stores that carry it.I will definitely come back if my boyfriend is happy with the choice the gentleman had recommened =]

Excellent selection of craft beer, unusual in a local liquor store/quick stop. The guys are friendly and helpful.

This store has one of the better beer sellections around here at a fair price. From all the micro brew ales to one of the better known German pilsners Spaten. These guys keep this place clean and keep the hoods away. My father inlaw cant walk very well and these guys go the extra mile to help him get his stuff to the car. You cant ask for better service . From american beer to micro beers to the best Munich Pilsners you can get it at Dawes. Need eggs milk or bread on a sunday morning and dont wanna deal with the big box stores ? Pretty good bet you can get it at Dawes and get home. In my opinion the newer owners have done a lot to improve this little store and keep it clean and friendly.

I was worried when I moved to Rancho from Folsom that I wouldn't find a place that offered great beer in my immediate vicinity. I saw some of the reviews on here saying that they had belgian beer and that piqued my interest. They had so many good offerings! Special releases from Sierra Nevada, flying dog, mission, and left coast to name a few. Prices are a little above average (Sierra Nevada narwhal was about $12.99 for a 4 pk, usually $9.99 or $10.99 elsewhere but no big deal). The guys who work there seem cool and very knowledgeable about craft beers. They informed me that I should check on Tuesdays for Pliny. Nice tip but I work for whole foods and I have had more than my fair share of that beer, but that's another story. Lol. Nice to know that there's a beer oasis in this urban desert.

This store is the only place I've found that sells Raspberry Pucker (a fun liquor to make Raspberry Lemondrop martinis). I've tried the grocery stores in Rancho Cordova & Gold River, plus BevMo and a liquor store in Citrus Heights to no avail. Though I only pickup a bottle every few months, the service is always prompt and genuine, and the place is always clean--no rif raff loitering either.

These guys are great! Super friendly. 2 for 250 1 liters. Wraps. Every alcohol under the sun. Offer fax and money services. They are the Ferrari of bodegas.. :-). They dont have people in the lot begging. So I feel safe. If your in buying food, check the dates. Its not what they make money on. Drinks, cigarettes, wraps, alcohol. Your good. Nice place.

This store is in a real bad location. There is constant drama and fights. It's a bit worn down. The service is ok. They are kind of over priced compared to places around them. They charge you hidden fee's when you use your card and don't tell you. 85 cents just to get a stamp. I would just cross the street.
