Sweat a little. It won't kill you, promise. ;-P
Ya no.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I know that's right.

I've seen way too many negative reviews for this place and it's ridiculous. I've been coming here for 3 years and the staff is always friendly. The trainers are always extremely helpful and never pushy . The price is always fair and the classes that come with the gym are very good. I lost over 100 pounds because of this place, I got into yoga because of place, I reached my goal of benching 315 pounds because of this place.I'll share a quick story about how friendly the staff is. When the Pandemic hit they didn't charge me a dime. In fact they gave me additional months because I paid a year in advance. They went though a rough time closed down and the place is better then ever with renovations. Equipment is always taken care of and lots of the people who work out there are just as friendly. Some people are just spoiled and want everything picture perfect. Thank you Davis swim staff for providing an excellent work out environment.

I've never been to Davis Swim and Fitness but am so appreciative of the Facebook streamed classes they are offering while everyone in town is subject to the "shelter in place" order. Thank you Barbara for your Zumba classes and I plan to try out the yoga. When this is all over I plan to check out the facilities. Stay healthy everyone.

For this review, I've made sure that I'd been here a few times before writing anything. Sure you can ding it for not being filled with equipment that is not brand new. Sure you can ding it for charging you like it says they will in the contract. Sure, you can even fault them for not entertaining *wait for it* _your_ kid or kiddos! But if you want brand new you have every right to spend the money and go elsewhere. Just make sure you actually read the contract _before_ you sign. Shocking, I know. And I have no clue about the kids thing. Is handing them off to folks you haven't met at a gym a great idea? Think about it. (maybe go meet with them for a bit?)I'm not sure how you can make it through life without learning the basics. Like reading through something before you sign it. That seems to be a recurring issue in some reviews. An old bench press works just as well as a shiny brand new one. Just an observation. And I guess if you want to spend your time at the gym looking at others, well, why are you at the gym??? I'm not saying it's the best thing since sliced bread but I am saying that there's a lot of fairly unreasonable crying in the reviews here.So:-read the (use your imagination)ing contract BEFORE YOU SIGN (yes, insane!)-do something with your kids instead of ditching them at the gym if you're that worriedand -buy them newer equipment (pay more) if you think it's so bad. Spoiler alert: it won't make you any stronger than the current stuff does.

It's a nice gym, I use it at least 5 days week and my workouts are different from day to day. I have very little issue finding equipment I need. If your looking to get/stay healthy this is good place to do it. They also have classes and trainers if needed. Staff is friendly and helpful and the gym is kept clean. The outside tented area is nice option too.

This gym is not worth the price. The equipment is very worn out and is overall lacking. It's quite hard finding a good gym in Davis. Staff is very friendly though, but would not recommend.

I feel compelled to leave a review due to the owner's (Tammy) lack of respect for local community members, including a retired service member. My housemates and I have lived near the facility for over a year and a half and have frequently been disturbed by excessively loud music from the gym. While we understand that a fitness center typically plays music, the volume has consistently been disruptive, especially early in the morning.Despite our numerous phone calls and emails expressing that loud music is triggering and disruptive--particularly for our housemate, a retired Army veteran--Tammy has been dismissive. In her response, Tammy claimed that the music volume doesn't change and suggested that we wear earplugs. This was an unhelpful and insensitive response, considering we are paying for a home that cannot be moved, while the gym's speaker volume could easily be adjusted. We also have videos that capture the lyrics of the music being played, which would not be possible if the music was not played loudly.I hope Tammy will take this feedback seriously and be more considerate of the residents and community members living near the facility.

The pool is always dirty and not adequately heated. Equipment is old and classes are limited. And I thought it was very expensive for what you got.

I truly love this gym! I have been going to DSF for 7 year, working out 5-6 days a week. They have the best Zumba (Barbara) and yoga (Kaz) instructors. If you want to get a good workout with nice people and excellent trainers check out DSF!
