First timer and this place is BUSY. I came on a weekend and never again. 30/45 minute wait for every single time. It's very big and lots of activities for the kids. I wasted so much time just waiting in lines. I will come back but on a weekday.

I love the idea of this place so much, mainly because I'm a sucker for a bargain. Only 45¢ per pound for veggies without the use of pesticides? Sign me up!Only, here's the thing. Almost all of the tomatoes and peppers have blight. 90% of the cucumbers I picked were too bitter to eat (and no, it's not because I only picked large ones). I think the problem is that the farmers don't really feed the soil, so it's just super depleted. The good news is that the zucchini are good! So, if you come here, I recommend just picking zucchini only.

Was under a time crunch and passing through the Hwy 16 corridor.Wanted to stop for corn but worried about being late. Then I remembered that a few weeks ago, I'd seen that Davis Ranch had numerous prebagged bundles of 8 ears of corn on the counter by the registers. We would be able to stop, rush in, and not have to bag ears of corn. We could dash in and out very quickly! And we did. Thanks, Davis Ranch, for making it easy and convenient to buy your excellent corn!

We stopped in for the Sloughouse corn. Sweet and fresh and good. While we were there, we bought some peaches and nectarines. Haven't had much luck lately with peaches and nectarines in stores, but the fruit I bought here at Davis Ranch was wonderful. Well worth the stop. Love the outdoor venue. Just be careful of the traffic; people on Jackson Road drive very fast and it is sometimes a challenge to get in and out of the parking lot.

If you want fresh delicious produce - don't go here. Go to your local farmers market instead. At Davis Ranch you don't get to pick your own ears of corn. They come in a bag of 8 for somewhere around $5. The tops of 3 of my ears were rotten, so had to cut them off. Two ears were completely rotten. The watermelon I bought for $6 was very light pink inside. Nowhere near ripe or sweet. Save yourself th

Such a fun experience with the kids. Learning where food comes from is something all children should get to see.

I visited this past weekend with my family and had a fantastic time. There's an area where you can buy pumpkins or take a complimentary tractor ride to the pumpkin patch to cut them right off the vine, which was the highlight for my kids! The store offers fresh fruits, vegetables, and a variety of other treats. Everyone we met was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I'm definitely planning to return in the future.

Fall fall fall! I love fall! Happy to have a fall birthday since it's like celebrating all season long ehehehe. Anyway, about this ranch. It has a nice little open-air produce shop. Currently there is a bunch of pumpkin varieties for sale (huge boxes of 'em filling up almost half of the whole shop!). There's also a pumpkin patch here but it didn't seem like it was open at the time that I visited (Friday afternoon) as I saw no one walk towards it. Perhaps it's open only on weekends. The even bigger highlight of this place though (and that's not necessarily fall-exclusive) is its corn. I saw shop staff organizing corn that arrived straight from the cornfields here. Got a pre-sorted brown bag of 8 (white corn variety; there are others available as well). Compared to the ones found at grocery stores, the kernels are smaller but they're softer, more sweet, and more flavorful. I got my parents to try a few since they really like corn and I consider them as the better corn connoisseurs (or should I say....."CORNnoisseurs?" Okay I'll see myself out). They thought the same things about the corn as well!No parking fee here. This ranch isn't too far of a drive particularly if you're in Rancho Cordova or on the east side of Elk Grove. Definitely recommend stopping by here especially if you're looking for some pretty good corn!

We love Davis Ranch! We drive out to the Sloughhouse area a few times a year for the produce - specifically their corn, but always make a point to come out in October for their pumpkins. They have pre-picked pumpkins of all different kinds under a tented area. There are a ton to choose from and it makes it really easy to grab a wide variety, put them in a cart, and check out. They also have the option to go pick your own pumpkins if you want to ride on this flat bed type thing behind a tractor. It runs about every 20-30 minutes so you just have to hope you timed it right with one being ready to drive out into the field. We went on a Sunday and the sign only said you pick pumpkins on Saturday for the weekends, but they were driving out there on a Sunday so never hurts to call and check beforehand. If you make the trek for pumpkins, highly recommend grabbing a bag of corn on your way out too!
