Parking Lot can sometimes be full during the rush hour. The wait time can also be 30- 2 hours long. They do have a waiting area behind the register, & in the waiting room, they have a birthday plinko which is honestly a really cool thing for a restaurant to have. At your table you are served by human servers, but you are also served by a cute little robot that helps bring your food out! It is very clearly worth the wait considering I keep coming back every other month. lol. They have 2 menu options, normally I go for the menu that is a little pricier because it unlocks a whole other meat menu. Occasionally they have a seafood menu too. We had a group of 3 total. Cocktails and meat were delayed by about 30 minutes on our second round but I think there is only one server here tonight. After follow up, server told us bar is backed up so we were still waiting. Side note, the server is super sweet and helpful even though he seems really busy.Final recap, I would go here over and over. Daikon forever!! This place is sooo good. The meat choices are delicious!! Just make sure to eat what you can because they charge you extra if you waste food. Best Korean bbq from here to the bay. Wait time, delay in food, bad parking spaces, idc I would come back again.

A Must-Try Korean Barbecue SpotOverallOne of my favorite KBBQ spots! I've been to many, and this one stands out for its flavors, service, and value.Food * Meats are marinated and seasoned perfectly. * Portions are on the smaller side, so you may need to order more (not sure if this was because my friend and I are two women). * They offer rice paper, which is a rare and welcome addition. * Cheese corn is unforgettable--I can't stop thinking about it!Service * Friendly and efficient staff. * Robot servers bring out the meat quickly, making the experience even smoother.Price * Fair pricing! My friend and I expected to spend around $100 but only paid $70 for two people.

We came on a Wednesday afternoon around 3:30 pm. Most of the tables were filled since they open at 3 on the earlier weekdays. We were originally seated by the back, but the staff put us under directly into the sunlight. Luckily, we were able to move seats. The food here was decent. I really enjoyed the beef belly and the pork belly! They were very swift about bringing our food, but towards the end, they kind of forgot about us and we waited a while for our last round's items.

This place is definitely spacious and modern. Workers are friendly, and the service was great. They even have robot servers. The food didn't take too long to come out either. The meat here is pretty good quality. The salt and pepper fried chicken wings were not dry and were very tasty. The cheese corn and the side dishes were decent. I like how this place has the vents to take away the smoke. Definitely would come back here again if I was in the area.

The Christmas decorations added a fun holiday vibe to the already spacious and well-organized restaurant. There were plenty of tables, and we got there early to beat the dinner rush, so it wasn't crowded or loud at all. We also noticed they had a birthday game you could play for small prizes, though the prizes didn't seem very exciting. Our server was friendly and helpful. We went with the premium AYCE option since our group wasn't into seafood and wanted to save room for dessert. Compared to other KBBQ AYCE places, the menu here is smaller, but it still had some highlights:- Japchae: A standout! It was delicious, though you have to order it as a side since it's not included as a banchan.- Cheesy Corn: Unfortunately, this was overly sweet and didn't have much depth of flavor.- Fries: Fresh and crispy with a nice kick of spice.- No Extra Charges for Rice or Lettuce: This is a plus, as many other places charge extra for these basics.- Marinated Meats: Absolutely the highlight! Every marinated option we tried was flavorful, tender, and perfectly seasoned. The non-marinated meats, like brisket, weren't as impressive in comparison--definitely stick with the marinated options here.

Solid choice place for kbbq. I am giving this restaurant 4/5 because the side dishes are a little lacking in selection and flavor, but the meats were delicious. The fish cake was thin and did not produce a lot of flavor. The rice paper edges were hard unlike other Korean barbecue places where it is supposed to be soft. The best meat was the bone in galbi! The sauce was so flavorful! The brisket and thin, sliced pork belly was divine! I recommend trying it out. Staff were very nice. I liked how they used a machine to deliver some of their food. I do think they need more than just one could see the staff working very hard.

Came here for lunch and got the pricier menu for AYCE kbbq. They still had us check in on their tablet to be seated. Didn't love or hate this place. You could go with the cheaper AYCE menu as it still has good cuts of meat. Service was good. The supreme menu level has ice cream for dessert at the end but it would've been nice if it was better quality ice cream from like Gunther's or something. I liked the banchan sides. I also like that they keep a printed menu at the table and you don't have to scan a QR code like many restaurants do now.

Hmm.. never again. I believe in second chances but I don't know if I'd return to give Daikon a third chance. Coming from Elk Grove, this is not worth the drive. But if this is the closest KBBQ for you, it might suffice your cravings. We parked near BWW and walked a little bit to get to Daikon. The venue is also part Firehouse Crawfish, which is a sister restaurant (offering different food), it is smaller than its original and Delta Shores location and can be a reason to come back to this location. But for us.. we do not have plans to come back. This was not our first time and we decided to revisit in 2025 as it had been years since we last dined here. The place is really nice looking, there's a soju wall, modernly decorated, and the music isn't loud. The bathroom has really hot water (which I didn't mind but just a warning for those who don't expect HOT HOT water) but no paper towels, just Dyson air dryers. Our server was nice and did his job but I do not feel he went above and beyond for us. At the end of the day, we're all human and we forget things, and he would bring us what we asked for the second or third time we asked, and a couple things he flat out forgot. The chicken wings came out really fast but then things started to slow down. Japchae leaves a lot to be desired in terms of flavor - perhaps it needs more sauce when cooked. Kimchi is limp and too tart - signs it's not fresh and a bit 'old'. The meat is nothing extraordinary or super remarkable. The best item we had was the Hawaiian steak because it was the most tender. Recommend eating your meats while it's hot because once it gets cold, everything gets harder and less enjoyable to consume, even the cheese corn. We didn't order any alcoholic drinks and stuck to water. Also, I noticed as we were leaving, some tables were set up with more side dishes than we had. We arrived at 5pm - definitely dinner time - so I wonder what happened with our table? We walked away knowing it was our last dine in at Daikon. There are better KBBQ spots in Sac - take your taste buds elsewhere.

I visited at 5:30 on a Tuesday evening. I would rate a solid 3.5 stars. They have this restaurant dual advertised as Daikon AND a Firehouse Crawfish "Pop-Up" restaurant, so please don't expect a full firehouse crawfish menu, or consistency in the food flavor. For example, the garlic noodles at this location are mediocre and they do not have the "rajun Cajun" sauce. I did not try anything off the Daikon menu. Aesthetically, this restaurant is very nice. Would not return for their firehouse crawfish pop up restaurant experience.

Wildly a mixed bag. Ordered from the premium AYCE menu and out of the things that I tried, my fave was the boneless short ribs; fairly succulent and not heavy-handed on marinade sweetness. Appetizer-wise, the cheese corn was deliciously super buttery. Pleasantly surprised on the king oyster mushroom; sliced like meat and the salt and pepper on it went a long way. Wished more Korean BBQ places offered this. Also appreciated that there is a notable amount of non-marinated meats available. The thick pork belly, pork jowl, and top blade steak were all decently tender. Now for the bad. The bulgogi tasted way off; bland(!!) and the meat itself tasted old. The mung bean sprout side dish (sukjunamul-muchim) was strikingly really salty. The veggie banchan generally was below-average (on the not-fresh, mushy side).Understaffed. Infrequent server appearances (though he seemed a bit swamped). No offering of changing the grill plate at all and I had to turn off the grill myself after being done with cooking.
