Cupcake Craving

It's unclear how old the cupcake I ate from here was. Definitely stale and at least a few days old. Think- sat in the back of your fridge and you forgot about it old. It had a weird taste and left a film in my mouth. Did I try a second cupcake that was a different flavor to see if it was "me" problem?Yes.Was it just as bad?Yes.Nasty. Don't get cupcakes here.

I walked into this place without any prior research done, I did not check Yelp to see if I should or should not go in. I've seen this place around for YEARS and never went in. Well, I wish I kept it that way. I love cupcakes but this place and the owner doesn't. It's evident. After a quick shopping session, I walked in with my boyfriend and saw there was a worker and a lady there, maybe she was related to the worker, maybe not but they were talking until we walked in. I don't remember if they even greeted us but I could tell they were staring at us, as if we interrupted their private conversation. I looked at the available cupcakes and it didn't take long - the place is small and there's not much to it. The worker answered my question about the cupcake sandwich and I got the red velvet. She comes through the wooden gate and grabs the cupcake without gloves. She didn't use hand sanitizer before touching the food item...She doesn't even use tongs or a piece of paper as a barrier between her and the pastry. Ummm. She touches the wooden gate again and rings me up. My boyfriend and I looked at each other and I knew what he was thinking. "This place does not believe in wearing gloves.""Does the worker have common sense?"He asked me if I was sure if I wanted that and I think something came over me because I somehow paid $5 for a cupcake that someone touched with their bare hands. Was I bewitched? Was I possessed? I walked out of there a little stunned. Dazed. My boyfriend said I needed to grow some balls and say no because that was GROSS. Unprofessional and unhygienic. Oh, and the cupcake wasn't all that good. I cut off the top part where she touched it with her ungloved hand and cut a bit of the cupcake to try. Cream cheese frosting isn't what I am used to and didn't surprise me in a good way... the cupcake is underwhelming and while it didn't taste freezer burnt nor did it break apart, it's not something I'll rave about and this place? I won't be returning. Avoid, avoid, avoid, and did I mention AVOID??????? DO NOT GO HERE!

I had a lemon cupcake from here: The presentation of their cupcakes was good, albeit with a lot of food coloring. The cupcake itself had okay texture, but seemed to be lacking depth of flavor. The inner lemon filling was a pleasant surprise, appropriately tart. However, the frosting itself was unbearably sweet and quite dense, like a spoonful of sugar. I think I'd rather eat the cupcake without the frosting, if at all, but all things considered, I might opt to purchase cupcakes from the grocery store next time.

THIS PLACE SUCKS!, the macaroons are hard as A ROCK. (No literally). The cupcakes are so hard too. And it's pretty expensive. Very disappointed. Don't waste your money here PLEASE.

Very disappointed in the lack of customer service at the location, I love cupcakes and really want to try one . However when my friend and I walked in the young lady behind the counter was just standing there, looked at us and said absolutely nothing, no greeting no nothing, as a matter of fact I had to say hello to her first ! That's a big no/no for me , I would never spend one penny or recommend this place ever ! Moving right along to the next bakery shop ! If I could give them 0 stars I would !

As someone mentioned, the presentation is amazing but the actual flavor of the cupcakes is not. At least mine weren't stale like many have mentioned, but they just weren't good. All the flavors tasted the same; super ridiculously sweet/like the kind you'd typically get from the grocery store. We got: *red velvet*champagne*banana*vanilla with cheesecake Didn't taste like boutique style cupcakes at all and were expensive on top of that. Sooo disappointed because I really wanted to like them. Service was normal. I'd go to Icing on the Cupcake if I were you.

Usually I'm skeptical about negative Yelp reviews and want to see or try for myself. In this case, the reviews are true. Cupcakes are cold and hard. The frosting is as dense as the cupcakes are and the flavors are a bit bland. Service was friendly, but I'm not eating that. :( Bummer....we really wanted to like this place.

This place is awesome! Every cupcake I've tried has been great, although I am most partial to the carrot cake. Consistently excellent service. I highly recommend!!

No type of Flavor. The looks of all the products in this establishment are very deceiving. Took a piece just to taste and decided to taste it again I did not order sugar free yet tasted like it was. This was a huge letdown and highly disappointing for an establishment to be in a location where there is a lot of foot traffic only to have a place to settle your sweet tooth to be let down by non edible desserts.

The items look delicious but the cookies were so hard. I think they had been sitting for a few days. I agree with other reviews about the service as well. The girl behind the counter said nothing the whole time she was grabbing the cookies.
