We came in a group of four and we ordered the chimichanga, taco salad, two crispy tacos combo plate, and an enchilada and tostada combo plate. I had the two crispy tacos, one carnitas, and one chicken. The carnitas taco was okay, there was not much flavor, but still good. But the chicken crispy taco was incredibly delicious. It was marinated super well, flavorful, and cooked great too. I would recommend the chicken over the carnitas. My rice also was bland too, but overall, I enjoyed my meal. My father in-law had the chimichanga, and he said it was one of the best he's ever had! It had a lot of meat, which usually other restaurants skimp out on. The taco salad looked amazing as well, there was rice, beans, chicken, lettuce, and even more all in one of those tortilla chip bowls! It looked fantastic. I definitely would order that, or the chimichanga, if I am back in town. Some critiques I have is only the first set of chips and salsa is free. Additionally, the chips were slightly stale. The portion sizes were also on the smaller side from your typical Mexican restaurant. I cleared my plate and could have eaten more. The service was good, we were checked on plenty of times. The food came SUPER fast. I was shocked with how soon it was! The restaurant was clean and quiet. I thought it would be busier on a Saturday night with all the neighborhoods nearby, but only about two other groups of people were dining in, and there were just two others at the bar.

This location has us because of how close it is to our house and the food is good. However, every time we've ordered there, they have messed up the order. My advice when you try it just make sure you check your order!Of course this is for takeout only. We've never dined in.

Wasn't sure about it, but that change as soon as my food came. Birria tacos were delicious- the meat was tender, juicy and tasty. Bowl looked a little smaller than expected but the meat and fillings were great and it ended up being satisfying. They could do better on the chip choice and although the salsa didn't look appealing it was mildly good and a bit tangy. 15% with a Yelp check in too makes for a sweet surprise.

New place that is cooking authentic food and great service. The music is legit and they have a huge bar. Got the carne asada bowl and quessabirria tacos and they were delicious. They have us an orange sauce that was spicy and so tasty. If you check in on Yelp, they give you 15% off your bill so take advantage while you can. Either way, the food is great...

I'm glad one of my attorneys took us here for lunch! And on the most beautiful spring day when we were able to completely enjoy dining on their patio. The patio is nice. I'd skip inside dining as it's too cramped and enclosed for me.The service is prompt (boss said it's prompt every time). Food came out quick. The food was divine! I ordered horchata. I would skip next time due to being less than 16 oz and I like drinking about a gallon of the stuff.I also ordered "tacos a la plancha." I translate to mean, "fried flour shell with a (much improved over) Jim Boy flare. I had lengua and bouche. Would definitely order 2 bouche again and try the carne asada. The lengua was good - perfectly tender and tongue taste but the bouche blew me (and one of the attorneys) out of the water! And she never previously tried bouche! Must save bouche for last. Absolutely fantastic flavor!Get over there and dine on the patio while the weather is in the "Cinderella phase". Open 8am-5pm Sundays and 8am-9pm all other days. I'm looking forward to the greatest excuse for a breakfast burrito for $10.99.

Really wanted to love this place as it is on my way home from work. Came here on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch. It is a taqueria style where you order at the counter. With that side, found the prices to be higher than the average. Birria tacos were $6.99 each when they are usually $5 on average and $3 for a tiny street taco. Entrees are $20++ Hubs got the Fajita burrito for $15 and I got a 3 item combo for $17.99. We took it home. It came with a very small handful of chips and some tiny cups of salsa. There were no rich flavors but hot. My taco and enchilada were forgettable but the tamale was just awful. There was a strong cinnamon flavor with very little meat and the ends were so hard and dry that I couldn't even chew it. I asked hubs how his was and he says, It was okay, I would not go back. They get more stars for the very nice friendly service. They had a Yelp discount for checking in and it was such a chore for the lady that I almost told them never mind but was determined to give it to me. And there was this orange thick sauce they gave that was delicious. Unfortunately it is not enough to compel me to return.

ATTENTION, attention...Recently under new management, Cuatro Amigos Mexican Grill is the hidden gem that needs to be found! Authentic Mexican food and even more, great customer service. Alex is the man, he and his staff work hard and make some bomb dot come food! Did I say the food was good?? ;) Cuatro Amigos Super Burrito - that's THICC, with two C's. This burrito is filled with tender, perfectly cooked and marinated pieces of carne asada with small pieces of fat bursting with flavors, the Mexican rice is fluffy and moist, paired with just the perfect amount of sour cream cream, guacamole all rolled with fresh salsa. This is one delicious burrito that deserves to be eaten! Chimichanga? So think, fried + crispy burrito. I was hesitant in trying this thinking it was going to be greasy and flavorless, but boy was I wrong! The crispness of the outer shell adds texture to the already moist interior of the burrito. I would highly recommend this. Craving that breakfast burrito? Need something juicy, tasty, with just the perfect amount of grease after a night of drinking. The breakfast burrito is the cure of all your hangover problems! They open pretty early 8-9am daily so hit them up, the breakfast burritos are fire! The real star of the show is the special in house, homemade orange sauce. If you are from the Bay Area and know about La Vic's "Orange Sauce" - then you need to make the trek to Cuatros because they make a similar sauce that's even better! It's so good I purchased a tub, it pairs well with everything! Trust me!!!Cuatro Amigos is officially my favorite Mexican food spot in ALL of Sacramento, yes you heard it first today! This is a blessing and a curse that this spot is right down the street from me because I will be here on the regular that's for sure!

First to begin with the chips and salsa--horrible. Chips are store bought and the salsa looked like tomato sauce from a can. I tried one chip w/salsa and it was not good. Generally that's my sign that the food will be bad and that served true With this restaurant period. The tacos had a weird taste and a very bad after taste. Not sure. What kind of seasoning or sauce was used but they tasted pretty bad. The rice was okay or should I say tolerable. I barely ate any of the food. The waitress was not the friendliest and had a very stern look on her face.

I've tried the Asada Cuatro Amigos burrito twice now. Unfortunately, both times, the meat has been overly salty. I usually request grilled onions and serrano peppers on the side, but today, they sliced them and mistakenly placed them on my coworker's quesadilla plate instead. When I arrived to pick up my order, I wasn't asked which type of salsa I preferred--instead, I was just given two of their choice. When I requested green salsa instead of red, the cashier, a young girl, was noticeably unpleasant and had an attitude.Overall, the food is ok, but the consistency and service could definitely use improvement.
