Great preschool in East sac. We've loved having our child attend the past 2+ years and have been so fortunate to find a place we feel comfortable and safe leaving our child. The teachers are kind and caring and our child has thrived in this very supportive environment. We love that it has a smaller feel compared to some of the larger programs where your child gets lost in the mix. We wish there was more outdoor space but feel they've maximized play space with what they have and our child has never complained. We started our child here when she'd just turned 2 and they created such a safe supportive place for her - we look forward to enrolling our next child when they are of age!

This is by far the worst preschool experience for our family.Very rigid, unkind, and rude staff which are extremely insensitive to family/kids' emotions.I found them markedly incompetent to deal with toddlers. They also steal 200$ to reserve a spot 4-5 days before actual enrollment day. If you care aboat your child wellbeing snd emotion, stay away from this place.

Reasons I would not recommend CS as a Preeschool. If you are interested in full story email Sehera13atgmaildotcom1. Unrealistic Schedule. CS required children to nap for 2.5 hrs. If a child didn't nap they had to do art at in silence, with minimal supervision for 2.5 hrs. 2. THE CURRICULUM. CS states that their curriculum is based on philosophies of Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, and Maria Montessori, but NONE of the teachers received a proper education or certificate in either of these programs. In fact, our experience was very opposite to any of those philosophies. 3. Despite being a Pre - School (preparation for school), CS DOES NOT offer any of the activities in this criteria. Math: Counting to 10, Addition & Subtraction to 5, Time to nearest hour, Days of the week & Months of the year, Before & after numbers. Language: Pronouns, Verb tenses, Letter Sounds, Before & after letters, Sight words, Recognizing and writing Higher case and Lower Case letters, Writing numbers 0 - 9, Trace shapes, Writing kids' names, Draw a person's stick body, Make words such as replacing "C" in cat with an R for Rat. 4. My kid and few others loved sciences. Despite donating a science kit to school per Ms. Lizzy's request, for the curious children, the kit was never used. 5. Our son WAS LEFT alone to cry for 30 minutes, when he talked with friend during circle time out of boredom. Was singled out to be punished, not comforted, and the parents were not notified. 6. When C got hurt at school backyard, parents were not notified. When talking to teacher after school, both were barked at by Ms. Mani (the owner) who interrupted the conversation and called the teacher off to work. 7. Because of the high teacher turnover our son's evaluations were completely off. Ex: we were told that C is struggling to ride a balance bike and we should try to work on that. That's because C is already riding a bike on 2 wheels with pedals and no supports. There were many such false assessments. 8. We have considered of moving C to a different school or TK sooner. But the recent move from the Bay Area to Sacramento was so hard on our son that we didn't want to move him again to TK, just to move him yet again to kindergarten the following year. Conor did make 3 close friends at preschool that were his immense support system for him when his teachers at school failed to do that, and we didn't want to take that away from him. 9. One final thing that happened, CS school year ends in the middle of the summer vacations. We were getting a dual citizenship for C in Europe and had an appointment there at the beginning of June. We had to pull C out of school 6 weeks earlier (June 1st) and gave CS 6 months notice. However, CS has BLACKMAILED us that unless we pay the tuition for the 6 remaining weeks, they will not graduate him. He was heartbroken! CS was hoping to get the money from us, while also accepting another student from a long waiting list for their program. After talking to a lawyer, we found out that CS's request was completely illegal. If a student has a MEDICAL or GOVERNMENT related reason why they can't finish a semester, the school can not refuse to graduate them. The student has a choice of either taking exit exams sooner (which there weren't any at a preschool), or repeat a semester (which C couldn't do being already 5.5 yo and moving on to K.) I am so grateful that C at least had a fantastic graduation at the Spanish Immersion School he also attended. He was so proud of his diploma and having a graduation party with all his friends. No thanks to Creative Spaces. I would highly recommend checking out the Spanish Immersion School; they were in the News as the best Spanish Program for little kids, or Artenia Beast Preschool right across the street from Creative Spaces. They have a fantastic program, low teacher turnover, are very warm and loving, and have wonderful outdoor space, but they are hard to get into so act early. C loved the Spanish Immersion and always looked longingly towards Artenia Beast and if I had to do it again I would send him there.

This school is great! This was my daughter's first preschool and her first experience away from family. The staff made sure to help us and make the transition smooth. I love that they make learning fun and they're eco-friendly!

We have had an amazing experience sending our son to Creative Spaces Preschool. From day 1, the director, Miss Lizzy, took such an individualized approach with our son and our family. We also adore all of the fantastic teachers, and our son has formed a special bond with his main teacher, Miss Sandra, who has been with him since he started. My kiddo is an only chid, and the social experience of preschool has been invaluable for his development. He is so good at playing with other children, sharing, and taking turns now, and I credit his growth to the amazing team. This is a very special school, and I love sending my son somewhere I can fully trust that he will be safe, well cared for, and treated with kindness and respect every single day. Thank you, Creative Spaces!

I find Creative Spaces a safe nurturing place for children. They use simple and engaging toys and learning materials to promote children's motor skills. There are a variety of activities to engage children in social activities. All teachers are loving and caring. The management is always proactive and responsive.

We love Creative Spaces Preschool! Our son started attending at age 3, and shortly after starting we noticed a rapid improvement in his speech and social skills. Since his first day he has loved going to school, he adores his teachers and so do we. They create a nurturing environment for the kids that allows them to thrive. We have loved getting daily reports detailing what he learned, how he played. The curriculum is great, lots of emphasis on kindness and inclusion. Their daily snacks include healthy, high quality foods. Everything about this school is wonderful, we felt really lucky to have our son there and cannot recommend them highly enough to any family.

My two year old started full time here right on opening day and she loves it a lot. She enjoys the freedom to explore at her will and get the opportunity to just be herself. The teacher is very great with her as well. She enjoys her teacher a lot. Even at night when its bed time she would ask where her teacher is.I love how the staff encouraged her to problem solve instead of making her do things she do not want. For example, my 30 month old can still be challenging about using her words and would take things without asking or cry instead but to see her teacher walk her through using her words in addition teaching her the proper words to use is very powerful as well. Lastly, I love how her teacher communicated with me giving me reports about how her day went and what challenges she had and how they worked it out. I really love that because this also show me that they so notice my child.

My daughter attended creative spaces for the past year. She loved it there and had wonderful caring teachers that made her feel comfortable being away from home. It is a great option for preschool and we would recommend it!
