Best cookies in Elk Grove by far! Perfect size, not too big, not too small. They're soft, tasty, and delicious. None of the unnecessary frostings, just your traditional cookies! The staff is great, and it's a cute little shop. Highly recommend it, and I suggest not going too late, as their selection is more limited as they tend to sell out of certain flavors. My family favorites include chocolate chip and crinkle cookies.

I visited the store today, 8/21 around 10:50am. My sister (also a Yelp elite) is visiting from out of town, and she really wanted to try this cookie shop after seeing decent reviews. Therefore, my husband and I visited the shop to pick up some cookies. I was on the phone with my sister telling her all the available flavors to pick up for ourselves and our relatives, 2 and a half dozens of cookies in total. Although there were NO other customers in the store, the cashier disrespectfully commented that it was rude to be talking on the phone when there is a no-cell phone policy. To our surprise, there is no legit reason to this policy as we were the only customers in store and my phone call was to discuss about the cookie order. We spent about $100 worth of cookies. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to this shop unless their customer service improves.

Great customer service. Excellent selection. Wish the black white and tan cookies were sold more not just Tuesdays.

Finally tried it after seeing this place all my life LOL. Jus went to get a chocolate chip cookie. When i first walk in it honestly smelled weird and bad, idk what it was but it was not a good bakery smell.... But anyways when i walked in there was two people who came. The one chocolate chip cookie was 3$... which is kinda expensive for the small cookie. The cookie was very doughy, which i don't hugely mind but it was interesting. Def not my favorite cookie place but it was alright, glad to have tried it. They had a ton of cookies on display/to sell too and i went around like 4.

Cookie Jar is one of my favorite cookie spots and I would always go when I am at Elk Grove. I got two dozen chocolate chips and an assorted dozen. I brought some home and unfortunately there was a blonde hair baked into the cookie. Even more unfortunate is that someone else saw the hair and not me. Service was great and their selections are not complicated. I wish we didn't see the hair.

Coworkers and I tried a variety of cookies a few days ago, they are expensive, small and super dry. Not worth the $3 plus each price. Plus the staff is extremely unwelcoming and seem to hate customers. But now that I've read the reviews, this store has poor customer service for the last several years and seems nothing has changed. Please go to the Costo Business Center (corner of El Camino Ave and Watt Ave). My coworkers and I discovered that they sell a large box of about 25-30 plus of Otis Spunkmeyer frozen milk chocolate chip cookies, all you have to do is bake them for 10 min or so. Otis Spunkmeyer warm cookies are sooo good and so much betther than this place. Not quite sure how this cookie jar store is still in business and how there's different locations now. Their cookies are overpriced small and gross.

Went in to grab a dozen cookies for a quick gift for a friend! Went in around noon and there was plenty of cookies and flavors available. Pretty easy - you can build your dozen (13 technically) based on what you want! $3 a cookie but they are good!

Exactly, what I was looking for. Your grandma's cookie. Nostalgia. Not too sweet which you won't get tired of eating quick. You can eat more! Simple but not basic. Don't need anything fancy. Solid cookies. The cookies are the perfect softness. Regret not trying sooner! Order: Smores, snickerdoodles, white chocolate cranberry oatmeal, and peanut butter toffee

Love the cookie jar cookies. My favorite is the double chocolate one with white powdered sugar. It's soft and chewy. Highly recommend

Residing in Elk Grove has its perks. A decent school district, hospitals in close proximity, numerous parks, delicious restaurants, and most importantly...shops that offer sweets! When I have a craving for a cookie, I have two options...Cookie Jar or Crumble Cookie. Cookie Jar has an assortment of cookies in which availability depends on the day of the week. Whereas, Crumble Cookie has six varieties of cookies that change on a weekly basis. In addition, Cookie Crumbles cookies are EXTREMELY rich and can dang near act as a meal replacement. To satisfy my craving for a non-rich, flavorful cookie, I decided to take a walk (studies show that walking to your cookies makes them less unhealthy) to the nearby Cookie Jar. Upon stepping foot into the establishment, I was greeted by the smell of freshly baked cookies (I swear someone should convert this smell into a body wash). Per the recommendation of a friendly employee behind the counter, I opted for the Peanut Butter Toffee cookie (part of the "baked daily" menu). I wish that I could provide you with some magical description detailing how delicious the cookie was. However, the most I can say is that the texture and flavor was satisfying to my tastebuds. It took a lot of self control to resist the urge to retrace my steps and order an additional cookie or two. If you can't tell, I'm a fan!
