Miss Chef Ruth is absolutely amazing! Her food is the epitome of what it means when you put love into it! I drove an hour and a half one way just to try it. Mac n cheese and the Ox tail- FIRE!Gumbo- FIRE! Big Daddy- FIRE!As she says it herself "It's not fast food, it's fresh food". It's worth the wait and the hype! I love that her names getting out there, she deserves all the great reviews. Can't wait to try more things in the near future!

I've been coming to this spot for the last 3-4 years, and there's a good reason why I come back:The FoodEverything is cooked fresh right when you order (unless it's the BBQ because they do that do that low and slow before bringing the truck out), so you might wait a little bit, but they always tell you about how much time it'll take, and they will even call/text you to let you know when your food is ready, so you can go do something else instead of just waiting around. Seasoning is good and punchy, and I can attest that 99% of the food they serve is amazing (the other 1% being the oysters, but that's because I can't eat them, and I've heard great word-of-mouth reviews about them too!)The PeopleRuth and Kyle (Mom n' Pop) are the kindest and most down to earth people you can have a chat with. Their customer service and business sense is amazing. If you catch them on a slower day, shoot the breeze a little bit and you'll find out they set up the food truck not only for income, but for how it connects them to the various communities they sell at.The VibesThey have a full speaker system built into the truck, LED strip lighting, all the fun stuff. Bay Area raised, so if you catch them at their usual spot on Truxel Road, they'll usually be playing some classics!All in all, Amazing Food, made by Amazing People. You might spend a little more, and wait a little longer, but for how fresh it is, and how dedicated these guys are to their food, it's all worth it.

Food was definitely delicious. I will be coming back soon. Now when I come to Sacramento and wanting some fried fish and chicken I have a spot to go to. I will recommend to my friends and family to try.

This is a food truck located in the back of the Food Maxx parking lot. If you're not aware of that or specifically looking for it, it could be hard to miss. I had to grab someone's attention for my order, but overall everyone was really nice. I'm happy I got there when I did because no one else was there and it was a short wait, then as I drove away I saw that more people started to arrive. I got the fried fish with fries, two rolls and cabbage. That fish was SO DELICIOUS!! It was pretty perfect. Cabbage was pretty good, fries were seasoned.. and the rolls were alright but I wish they were softer or came with butter. They were a bit dry. I heard about the oxtails and have seen pictures, so I fasho need to come back for those!!

I'm a little late with my review. We visited at the Food Max lot. We had the three way with, oysters, shrimp and chicken. We had the catfish special and we were happy to try the coleslaw. The food was Amazing and the customer service and love was just as Amazing. The lady cooking is sweet as potato pie. The gentleman taking the orders was just as Amazing. We will Definitely be back again soon.

Everything is bomb! I still need to try their oxtails and seafood dishes. My faves and my go-to so far are the chicken sandwich and the red beans and rice!

I used the ap Too Good To Go & received a good amount of delicious food for o my $7.99. It was so good that I ended up buying more items. The staff is friendly & they are located in a safe area. I am definitely coming back & looking for them at the festivals.

I just want to start off saying the food was AMAZING!!! I actually won a mother's day competition which was for a free meal (which was a blessing to my family). I've been dying to try this food truck for a while now and was so honored to receive such a blessing . I will definitely recommend to all my family and friends. The food was amazing!!! Fish and chips with hushpuppies! Best flavors!!! Nothing beats a Friday night outing. Cooler temperatures!
