Not expensive and got my son back into a soccer mindset. They got the kids organized quickly and got them playing. It was hot, but they gave them adequate breaks to hydrate. My son has been playing soccer for three years, and told me that this canp remimded him of his first year of soccer, where the coach yelled at them a lot.Overall a good canp for the price, so manage your expectations.

I myself a former player/ Rec/ Indoor/ Comp Coach, that has had a opportunity to see what coerver was all about. I took my 2 boy's to metro city soccer, where coerver washolding drop in sessions, after a couple of sessions I seen both of my son's foot-skills take off. The Nor- Cal trainer was Brian Faulconer, Brian was very patient and thural in his teaching, I later had the opportunity to have brain continue to trainmy 2 son's.My boy's loved it and were very hungry to continue this training.Coerver foot skills training is the the Real deal,Coerver footskills is the #1 footskillstraining in the world, there is alot of other's who try to replicate Coerver, but cant. The Training pyramid is unbelievable, it gives you a step by step on how there training pyramid gives your son or daughter the edge.I wish I had this when I wasplaying soccer, I probably would of been playing pro soccer. If your son or daughter play's Recreational soccer, Select soccer or even Competitivesoccer and there our looking to work on there 1st touch and foot-skills, look no furtherCoerver foot-skills will make it happen. If your Coach or Soccer Club is not giving youthe opportunity to be the best you can be, ask him or her if they can have a certifiedCoerver trainer come out to show them what it's all about. Your Coach will be hooked on Coerver like phonics. If you don't believe me, type in Coerver on your internet service and watch the Introduction to Coerver and you will see what they our teaching these kids all overthe World. If you want to see your child boy or girl make a significant change in therefootskill game, make the call. Coerver Nor Cal.My 2 son's cant wait for all the up & coming camps & clinics coming to the Sacramento area in 2014. Thanks Coerver Nor- Cal& Brian Faulconer.

They do not have the kid's best interest at heart. My son participated in the spring session. During one practice he hurt his knee. Instead of letting me know when he was hurt (I was at the practice field, walking the track) they had him sit on the sidelines and waited until after practice to say something. They do not cancel or postpone when it is raining. They held practice on Mother's Day. The coach emailed me to see if we would participate in the next session and I declined due to my worry about the kids playing during the extra hot days and when the air quality was poor (again they do not cancel for bad weather). His response was to tell me that the program is $14/hour, that they are cheaper than childcare, and that some moms wanted an hour away from their kids on Mother's Day. I'm not sure how that response is appropriate in any way.

I coach recreational-level soccer and I'm always looking for ways to help my team to improve their skills. I've sent my child/players to several different area camps and my team has participated in team camps hosted by international groups. The simple fact is that any time your child gets time kicking a soccer ball over and above what normal recreational players are doing, they're going to improve. Every camp I've sent my kids to has helped them get better. But Coerver is different. MUCH different. I had been watching their videos online and incorporated some of the Coerver drills into my practices. When I saw that Coerver had a Winter Academy in Sacramento at a decent price, I jumped at the chance to send my daughter to it. She got a total of 10 hours of instruction and was going head-to-head with players who play Comp. I sat and watched 4 or 5 hours of the sessions and was very impressed. After 10 hours, my daughter was feeling confident enough to try (and succeed at) running crossover dribbles, the Cruyff move and scissor cuts in indoor soccer. She suddenly understood how to back a player down and use the soles of her feet to control the ball in close 1v1 or even 1v2 situations. One of my friends - a parent on another team that we played in indoor - came up to me and asked how my daughter got so amazing.Granted, I practice with my daughter any chance we get some free time. She's at the age where she's decided she wants to step up her game and put in extra work. Still, the skills she learned from Coerver gave her a rocket boost to the next level. I would recommend Coerver to anyone looking to give their child a different outlook on soccer. I'll be using the drills I learned this year with my team and I can't wait to see the change in my players.I'm realistic here, I know that it's not the only way to coach kids. However, from a 1v1 standpoint, Coerver is far above the rest - take it from someone who has followed numerous other camps. If you are in the Sacramento area and are looking for a fairly inexpensive way to improve your child's skills, send him/her to one of the Spring/Summer Coerver camps. You will not be disappointed.

For over a year, we have been sending our children to the Coerver drop in sessions at MVP Sports (Auburn and Greenback). The sessions run in the evening on various days during the week. There is no sign up required...just show up and train. The times and dates are on their website. Our oldest is passionate about soccer and uses the sessions to learn new foot skills and fine tune existing ones. Our other child has no interest in anything other than rec soccer, but loves to go and participate. It gives the kids a place to use some energy and learn something about the sport. The coaches are very good with the children. They challenge them to their potential, without making them feel bad about failing on a skill. They do a great job of handling the different skill levels of the children in a session. At any one session you might see a couple of "Competitive" level players mixed in with several first time players. The sessions move fast with everyone getting plenty of action. During the session, I login to the free wifi or watch whatever game is playing on the projection screen TV. It is a comfortable place with tables and couches to relax in while the children are working out.
