From the age of 3 my son has showed a fascination for video games. As of recent, to my delight, he has shown interest in the creation of video games (coding). In order to assess his level of interest, I downloaded the trial version of an iPhone game/app called Code Spark Academy. This app allows the user to create the intricate details (levels, rewards, etc.) of a game and then play the game. During this time I noticed that his traditional games and even television shows were put on the backburner. While driving through Elk Grove I noticed a new (at least new to me) establishment called Code Ninjas. I immediately found their website and saw that they offered a coding camp based on the popular platform Roblox. Thankfully, the class was being offered on a day that fell within my son's holiday break. Before registering my son for the class, I ran it by him and he enthusiastically said "YES!" After submitting the payment information, I received a welcome packet from Code Ninjas (outlining the facility rules) that I quickly completed and submitted. The morning of the camp I packed a lunch for my son (Code Ninjas does not provide lunch), and we hit the road! After being warmly greeted by the employee at the front desk, I signed in my son, kissed him, and sent him off to explore the world of coding! When I arrived to pick him up, he did not want to leave. Aside from putting the finishing touches on the game that he created for Roblox, he was "networking" with his fellow coding camp buddies. During our ride home, he could not stop talking about the coding camp. He explained to me in detail the game that he created and that his game was saved so that he could resume the modification of the game upon a return visit. I highly recommend Code Ninjas for any parent that has a child that expresses interest in coding. Yes it is a bit pricey ($89 for the coding camp), but it will definitely pay off (literally) in your child's future! I am already planning on registering my son for the Minecraft Coding Workshop. Thank you Code Ninjas!

What a cool place! I wish there was something like this when I was a kid. All the children were having a great time, they were fully engaged and it was great watching them learn how to create something they love. I wish there were more places to take the kids that teach them fun, hands on, real world skills. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this if you are a parent that has a child always wanting to play video games/Fortnite and can't pull them away from the screen! This will definitely make them appreciate all that goes into developing a game. I can't speak much to this part, but it even looks like they have a camp that teaches how to code drones that they can fly around.

I signed my niece up for one of their camps and the twice a week coding classes. I noticed they clean your laptop and mouse after each use and sanitizing the tables and chairs. Everyone is wearing masks and with good distancing. We are so glad that this place is open for kids during this difficult time

I took my son for his first session and I had a cough from a cold I had three weeks before that. They asked my son to wash his hands before starting the session, we both did. Then one of the instructions quickly put on a mask and then the other instructor told us we were not welcome if we were coughing or sick. I explained I wasn't sick and my son wasn't either. They refused to help us and asked us to leave, rather rudely. We will never go back because of this treatment.

I had my child's 7th bday party at code ninjas today. I took chance bec I wanted something new for the kids. I guess I had set up high expectations but I failed. I was not impressed and very unsatisfied with the service. When I signed up and deposited to schedule the party, I was told it's for 2 hours, the first 30 mins are for food and singing and 90 mins for stem robotics Minecraft. When we arrived, the attendant told me there's going to be 1 hour in the lobby for food. I did not prepare for any other activities bec I thought they will facilitate something for the kids. Such a waste of time. Then another hour spent for stem - there's 3 stations where kids rotate. And last 30 mins for the balloon game Robotics. The during the balloon game, only 9 tables were available bec one got broken and no spare! So the one visitor didn't get to play. We were told she can play tandem with another player which was unfair bec both of them will only get portion of time spent without extension. There were 2 attendants but only one stays with kids. The kids does not have background with computers and robotics, they need assistance. The other Sensei I guess was training Denny, but he was just in the lobby working on his computer and not with the kids :( I hate to make bad reviews bec I want to help business around EG. However, I hope this review will help them improve their services.
