I have to start with the ambiance and the service. They were phenomonal, the music was great and lively, and the beer tender was kind and attentive. I felt welcomed. They don't have a large selection, but it is a newish brewery, and sometimes thats good.There's plenty of parking, they had tacos, mama's tacos and they are pretty good.All in all I want to comeback. Even though I am 30 min away.Worth it

The beer selection here is fantastic! I especially loved their red ales, IPAs, and ambers.Outside, there are several tables available for outdoor seating, along with Mama's Tacos serving up some great food. The brewery also has outdoor seating and a few old-school arcade games, presumably to keep kids entertained while their parents enjoy a drink or two.If you choose to sit indoors, be mindful of the tables. I noticed one was a bit wobbly when I set my glass down, so I opted to move out back for a more stable and comfortable setup.

Been at this location a couple of times over the years as I pass though Elk Grove. I believe it was Hungry Pecker the first time (4 stars as well).- Solid brewery with a varied tap menu.- Nice outdoor area when the weather cooperates.- Can get loud in the relatively small inside bar area.- Not a lot of food choices. One truck both times. This last one had little in the way of vegetarian options so one member of our party was out of luck. Not good.

This place just opened up recently - replacing another brewery that had been here before. Saturday nights are SUPER latino, where the brewery turns into a latin club and plays latino music all night. A very different and fun experience, from what anything Elk Grove is used to? It was really cool! We noticed mention of tacos somewhere, but we didn't try any when we came March 2024. No cans to-go yet, but you can get growler pours. I'm sure the place will get better as they develop more Beer itself - nothing too crazy/memorable. They offer a few different selections, we usually stick to the IPAs, of which they had 2-3. Think the hazy IPA was the best. The beer left me with a weird headache the next day though, that I don't normally get from other places. Not sure if it's something they use in the beer or what. Would come back to see if it happens again (reason I rated it 4/5)Large space - there's an outdoor patio (gets a lot of flies though), a back space with games, and an indoor space (could use more chairs inside). Good for groups.Service was a bartender lady that was really nice.

Great spot for craft beers and to hangout. Service was quick and bartender was attentive! Music was also on point!

Came here for a friends private birthday party, in the back patio area. Which is also the first time being to Coatza Brewing, since it took over after Hungry Pecker closed.I love the new mural work near the bar, and the the art in the back area of the patio.

This was my second time coming here after first visiting when they first opened 2 months ago. The beers I've ordered both times were pretty good. Their service was excellent as well. The staff offered great recommendations and switched the TVs to whatever sports games were on which was nice. Today I tried their tacos and nachos which were both good although I'd rather stick with the nachos next time as they were more filling. The tacos were good but pretty small. I'll probably be back in the near future to try more of their beers and enjoy their nachos again.

Friendly staff, wasn't a fan of the IPA selections. The michi was pretty good and the milkshake IPA was the best option and closest I came to a hazy. Decided to come here after passing by to go to dust bowl. Dust bowl was so packed so we came here instead. Very chill vibe and seems like it would be more lively at night. Inviting atmosphere great music just not a fan of the beer. Looks like they usually have a taco stand but today it was crepes. My thing is.... who eats crepes with beer? On another note I love that they're dog friendly and the AC was nice on a hot day

I was drawn to this joint by the allure of tacos and beers, only to find that one of those things turned out to be true -- the beers. Not sure why they didn't have food the day I arrived, but it was a disappointment.As for the beers, they were "just okay" by my standard. Not a large variety, but a decent amount -- and what they had wasn't bad. I believe this place is new, so the interior looked nice with a clean, simple and modern feel. The bartender was nice enough.In my opinion there are many better breweries around, so I'm compelled to give this place 3 stars based on the beers and ambiance alone. I would have added an additional star if they had tacos, and potentially even two stars if said tacos were phenomenal.
