Updating my review since this restaurant has improved quite a bit. Interior has been renovated and service is more attentive. Food quality is better. I think it's a great place to bring families as the space is huge.Pay at the register in the front, they won't bring the check to you (makes it easy to leave when ready).

A decent spot for Vietnamese cuisine! My fiance and I were in the area and decided to check this place out due to the recommendations for the "Bun Bo Hue". Upon walking in, we were amazed by the space and decor. They have several booths and tables to accommodate large parties. Everything looked tidy and not rundown compared to other Vietnamese restaurants I frequented. They have a wide selection of Vietnamese dishes. We opted in for the Bun Bo Hue and Bun Rieu. Overall, the dishes were just OK and not as flavorful. The broth is the main component of both dishes and yet the flavors were subtle. It paired well with the vegetables provided and they provided a good amount of meat.It is surprising to see this is one of the only Vietnamese spots in the area! Parking was plentiful and if you ever find yourself for Vietnamese food this would be the only spot or you have to drive to downtown Sac for others. I would come back to try their pho and other appetizers.

I have been on the fence about coming to the second location of Co Do with the very mixed reviews, but after I saw another Yelper mention that the restaurant has recently been renovated, I decided to finally try it out for myself. I have recently been on the hunt to find the best BBH restaurants in Sacramento, and was looking forward to try the BBH here. I set my expectations low as I enjoyed the BBH at Co Do but it wasn't the most flavorful, so I was expecting something similar here. But I was wrong. Co Do 2's BBH is by far better than the first location. Not only is the soup deep and flavorful, but it is full of lemongrass flavor. The color of the broth was also red when it arrived, which is what I love to see. I asked for shrimp paste as well, which arrived quickly. The noodles were perfectly cooked and the herbs were fresh. The meat was tender and I got a big fatty pork hock to gnaw on as well. The large was perfect for my early lunch. The restaurant itself is clean and spacious, as well as quiet. I came on the day before Thanksgiving, so that might explain why it was so quiet, but regardless I felt comfortable dining here. My server was kind and friendly, and attentive to refilling my water. Co Do 2 is tucked away in a quiet corner of a strip mall, but it is the perfect place to get a good bite in. I would love to try their pho some time, but this review is strictly for their BBH, and I am very happy to find another place that serves BBH well (and not in South Sac)!I can't wait to bring my husband here soon.

I'm glad I found a good pho place in north Natomas! I went on a Friday night and it was pretty empty inside the restaurant. They have a lot of tables and it's a pretty big space, but there were only 4 tables occupied around 7pm when I went for dinner. It's quiet and peaceful inside and your food is brought out to you pretty quickly. I had the beef ball pho and it was really good. I enjoyed it and would come again.

Friendly service, quiet place, not very busy at lunch time. Difficult to find with Google directions. Nice decor with lanterns and paper umbrellas. The bun rieu was flavorful; however, a bland and too sweet. The tofu was tough and tasted better with fish sauce. Would have loved other veggies to go with the noodles soup instead of just mint and cabbage. My husband and kids liked their pho and my husband commented that the pho noodles were cooked to a nice consistency. The marinated beef with lime juice was the best dish on my opinion and I don't like raw white onions but it was so tender, flavorful with the right amount of lime and seasoning of the herbs. Definitely recommend it and will come back for other dishes to try.

9/9/24 5PM. Craving for spring rolls gỏi cuốn and bûn riêu. Hubby ordered at this place for take out. I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS PLACE HAS A LOT OF BAD REVIEWS?! EVERY THING THAT WE ORDERED WAS PHENOMENAL!5/5 stars. Bûn Riêu: shrimp paste and pork ball noodle soup. Not sure bout the price cause I didn't order it. Will update later. - only thing I didn't like is the soup seems to have a lot of oil particles, but I didn't mind cause the flavor of the soup over-all taste really good to me. I really LOVE that the soup is not too strong- not too salty. I can slurp the soup with out eating the noodles and it tastes light and flavorful! Also, love that they added 2 pieces of cubed pork blood.. YUMMMMMMMM!!! I know every Vietnamese family makes it a different way. This family makes it perfectly fine. WILL ORDER THIS AGAIN =)5/5 stars. 2 orders = 4 rolls $15.23 including tax. Gỏi Cuốn (Spring Rolls) shrimp: has green lettuce, mint, rice noodle and pieces of shrimp (I think the shrimp is boiled or steamed). Comes with sweet peanut sauce. - I love how they add a lot of mint cause it helps with my nausea. Peanut sauce is on point! Ordered this twice now and will continue to.Hubby said ambiance is like Vietnamese/Chinese style hall. They have a stage in the front where you can sing karaoke or some thing. Restaurant is good for big events. It is VERY SPACIOUS! We wondered if they rented this place or own it. Hoping maybe if they moved to a smaller place, it would help them cut cost. Then we thought, maybe they're doing ok since they've been open for business for so long. Hope every thing is well.Happy eat's ya'll!

This place came up. They did a full on renovation and added new items to their menu. Service is also fast. Too fast lol. My husband wanted to surprise me and pay for dinner while I went to the restroom, they accidentally took my pho bowl to clear the table, thinking I was already done eating. They apologized and ended up making me a few new batch to go with generous portions. Way to save the day! We will be back to try their Banh Xeo and Banh mi Bo kho. They were also nice to put my husband Apple ear pod that he left behind away for us. Great customer service and atmosphere.

The interior was huge, which is pretty typical for a Vietnamese restaurant. I got the Pho Tai and it was alright. It was not bad, but also not the best. This place definitely gives out a lot of meat for a $13 small bowl which is why I am giving this a three star.
