If I could give this place beyond five stars, I would! This place is located in a small complex so parking can get very tricky. When you enter, it is mostly self-serve so you head over to the kiosk to the left in order from there. If you do have a hard time ordering, they do have a cashier in the front. I ordered the chicken and it had the perfect balance of crunchy and savory. After eating the chicken, I ordered another to go because it was that good!Customer service was great, and the restaurant was nice and clean. It's a little bit on the price seaside, but definitely worth it!!!

Finally, another variety of Asian food in Folsom! The restaurant is still having River Thai sign at the front so it was a bit confusing. There are 2 kiosks to order the food or you can go to the cashier to order. The service is semi self service. They brought our food to the table in brown to-go boxes. However, the portion was generous for the price. - Hainan chicken rice: the chicken pieces were perfectly cooked and juicy (but a little bit bland for my taste). The rice was fluffy. The soup broth was good and very hearty.- Crispy chicken with rice: it's my favorite between the two. The coating was crispy and flavorful while the chicken meat was still juicy. My favorite part was the spicy sauce! It was delicious!!! I will definitely come back for more and try different menu.

If you drive by thinking you got the wrong address think again. There is no signage except the former restaurant name River Thai. The same owner have switched gears from Thai food full menu to this very specialized menu. They also do side hustle with some order app specializing in Korean food but you cannot order the food there. It's weird but I haven't tried that yet. Perhaps if they can have a phone there to let you order it there and pay? Something for the owner to think about and bypassing the barrier to the customers.I have tried their Hainan chicken and crispy chicken, both very good. The sauce that comes with Hainan chicken is a little garlicky and just spicy enough to make your tongue tingle. The sweet and sour sauce for the crispy chicken is sweet and pairs well. The decor is fresh and there's tv playing movie in the background. No vegetarian options though. Will try their other offerings in the future and hoping for the best to the restaurant!

Southeast Asian Eatery [Folsom CA]If this place wasn't so far from home we'd be here at least once a week. We have been clucking over their Crispy Chicken since our last visit so we ordered it again this time. Food came fast... in less than ten minutes. It was served with Garlic Ginger Rice and a side bowl of Chicken Consommé, a lovely light, clear, flavorful chicken soup. We received a generous portion of the crispy chicken... yummy flavorful crust and juicy meat. Interior is clean and spacious with fun wall mural that brings the whole room to life!. Check out the Wall of Fame, grab your favorite color Sharpie and add to the many original art work. Be fun, be creative! When looking for the restaurant look for The River Thai Cuisine sign. They are the same owners of Cluckin' Good. Friendly family-run business. Instagram: @cluckin_goodfolsomReview #3540

I wish I could revive the food and service, but I can't. Upon a friend's recommendation, I was anxious to try the crispy chicken and garlic rice. So I've been there twice in the past week during thier posted business hours only to find them CLOSED both times. No notice or anything on the door. Just locked up and dark inside. Not happy.

I stopped in with my eldest over the weekend to place a to-go order for her. They do not offer outdoor dining and I didn't want to keep hubby and puppy waiting in the car. She devoured all 5 of her egg rolls I purchased!I would definitely recommend their newest location, very clean and great customer service! This chicken themed restaurant has some fun murals and even a wall of fame! Customers can grab colored sharpies and sign the wall, my eldest drew a big chicken named Cutsie! Whenever we visit now, she can see her art on the wall! We will be back to explore more of this small business, after trying a bite of hubby's Crying Tiger, I know what I'll be ordering! I was first introduced to Cluckin' Good via a Yelp event and I just had to come back. I've never had Hainan chicken before here so I have nothing to compare it to.From the outside, you'll find Cluckin' Good still under the The River Thai Cuisine signage. But you'll know you're in the right place when you see the Cluckin' Good wall art inside. There are 2 kiosks you can order from or if you're like me with questions, your order can be taken with staff. Service was great and my to-go order of food was ready pretty fast.I ordered half & half which is a great option to be able to try both types of chicken they offer. The $17 meal comes with Hainan chicken, crispy chicken, 2 different sauces (you choose the spice level), your choice of regular white rice or garlic rice, cucumbers, and a chicken consommé broth. The Hainan chicken was nice and soft while the crispy chicken had a nice crisp and wasn't greasy. Both chickens pair so well with their respective sauces and are a must to eat together! Eating the chicken without sauce is too bland. I've tried the garlic rice before but I prefer the softer regular white rice. 3 measly cucumbers are your greens, but I guess better than nothing. Then the chicken consommé was simple in flavor but absolutely delicious and refreshing. I liked the crispy chicken better but I'd still order a half & half to feel like I'm balancing out the fried lol. Overall very filing wholesome meal and a nice addition to Folsom. If you don't live in the area, imo it's nothing to really go out of your way for, but definitely a nice option when you want a simple chicken and rice meal.

Holy Cluck! Get down to Cluckin Good and place your orders for the Crispy Chicken. I've never had anything like it before. Think fried chicken a with a Thai twist on it. The cashier here told me it's dipped in two different batters before being fried. He also informed me there's a closer location for this restaurant located downtown. It's a ghost kitchen (no indoor dining) thanks for the alley oop man!The ambiance was pretty chill as there was Jazz music playing while I waited for my order. People in and out as most orders were takeout. My food was prepared fresh and it came out steaming, piping hot! I really enjoyed the dish as a whole; the cucumbers were fresh and had a nice crunch. The white rice was good but next time I'll probably do the a la carte crispy chicken ($22) and make my own at home. The consomé was so good it was like a chicken broth with green onions and I ended up drinking it at the end of my meal because I wasn't going to just throw it away lol. Finally be sure to try their Thai tea. It's a nice way to end the meal. Everything was not just good, it was Cluckin 'Good!

The sign outside still says River Thai but once you look inside, it is clearly cluckin good. I like the murals on the walls and it is colorful. Tried the hainan chicken. The chicken did not have much flavor. Once you place the sauce on it, it tasted much better. You can make the sauce whatever level of spiciness you like including Thai spicy which is super hot. I got medium spice which was good for me. When I have had hainan chicken in the past, it was served with a ginger sauce but this was a more spicy fish and garlic flavor. There was not enough sauce for the chicken. There should be twice as much. The rice was good but also could have used more garlic.

Came here on Sunday for dinner. I placed my order at the counter but can also order on their kiosks. I ordered the crispy chicken rice and eggrolls. Food took 30 mins to come out and they got my order wrong. They accidentally gave me hainan chicken rice instead. They quickly took it back inside the kitchen to remake it. The correct crispy chicken rice came out within 10 mins. Crispy chicken was very crunchy but kinda bland and super greasy. Each bite, my mouth had a strong oil taste. The sweet chili sauce that came with it helped a bit with the flavors but not enough to go around. The rice was supposed to be garlic rice but I was given white rice instead. Portion was definitely huge though. Chicken consommé was bland. Eggrolls reminded me of the springrolls from Panda Express but a bit better. The sweet and sour sauce that came with was watered down.Self service water station available for dine in guests.
