Sports bar in east Sac! Ambiance is sports bar. They have a huge screen in the front and big screen tvs all over! It's clean inside! They also have a huge back room.Drinks-- I had a cider! It was really good and not too sweet! I've heard they have good bloody Mary's and good margaritas! Food- really good!!! I had the chicken quesadilla the full size one. It comes with sour cream and salsa. Lots of flavor! My party split the chicken nachos which were also very good! It had the nacho cheese on it which was 10/10! Looking forward to coming back!

I don't know when I was excited about a happy hour place as I am about Clubhouse 56.I've been here numerous times for different events and things like that, and I was rather surprised to discover that I hadn't written a review. I'm actually glad that I didn't, so that I can rave about how great the happy hour experience is! The service was great. The staff is friendly, and if you're there early enough, you can see the local bar fires hanging out at the bar with their choice of drinks. The happy hour menu is pretty generous. They literally have such a great variety of choices at reasonable prices, it's now one of those hidden gems.I'm not a fan of hotdogs, but there's is amazing! It has that snap when you take a bite. The hotdog comes with a variety of optional toppings. You can order it with everything, somethings or nothing.The chicken wings are outstanding. Yes! I found a place to go for happy hour chicken wings where the wings are meaty and flavorful. Did I mention that the happy hour items are reasonably priced?! Plus the side of ranch is super tasty. The quesadilla is not something that you might see on the happy hour menu in most places, and they serve half of their standard quesadilla as part of the happy hour menu. Let me tell you you're getting a pretty generous portion, and it's filled with lots of cheesy goodness. Fun place to hang out with friends. Fun date spot. Came here yesterday to watch the 49er game with some friends. They had said it would be packed, so we got here early, and snagged a table in the corner, right under the big screen.I personally had my back to it, but could still easily see the game, since there were TVs all around the room.My friends ordered a couple of vodka sodas and a $15 "mimosa pitcher," while I ordered a vodka cranberry. The mimosa pitcher turned out to be a bottle of champagne served with a Collins glass full of orange juice, with wine tasting glasses on the side.Before we had arrived, one of my friends had advised me not to order the breakfast, as she'd had it the last time she was here, and it was terrible. Therefore, we did not order any breakfast items.Altogether, during the time that I was here, our table ended up ordering chicken wings, steak and chicken nachos, and chips with salsa and guacamole.The chips themselves were not bad, but the guacamole was terrible. It tasted like it was made with avocados that had gone bad. Everyone at our table agreed that it was bad, and we didn't even finish it. The salsa was okay, although it tasted like it probably came out of a jar from Wal-Mart.The chicken nachos were not good. The chicken tasted really weird and gross. I'm not sure if we actually got any steak. The guacamole and pico de gallo were both bad. The fried chicken wings were the one item that were actually not that bad, although they were a little burned. Unfortunately, none of the three sauces that were served with them (buffalo, ranch, blue cheese) were very good, either.I couldn't taste the alcohol in my cranberry vodka, but the mimosa that my friend poured me was alright.On the positive side, our server was very friendly and attentive. He brought our food out surprisingly quickly, and kept our table clear. While my friend and I were standing in line for the ladies' room, I noticed cigarette butts on the floor of the kitchen. We're talking multiple brands of cigarette butts, right next to the food assembly line.After we went back to our seats, I kept getting whiffs of cigarettes. It seems like someone was either smoking in the kitchen, or smoking outside and putting it out on the kitchen floor, which isn't much better. That might actually explain the weird way the nachos tasted...I have a hard time seeing what my friends see in this place, and would probably not come back.

I came here for the first time to watch the superbowl this past Sunday, it was great. The food is good the waitresses are great, we also met the owner and he was very welcoming and nice, my husband shared a drink with him. We love that it is dog friendly in the patio area as well! This is a great place to watch any sports as there are multiple TVs and projectors.

Great local hangout. Love the dog friendly outdoor patio with heaters. The food was good, but the service was over the top excellent. Friendly bartender and staff which is enuf reason for me and my GF to go back for.

I think this place is a bit overrated.. maybe 4 stars on a very good day, which was not the day we came in. Many pluses but not enough to rave about.Outdoor space is shielded from the weather, and there are TVs HH burger was good, as were the nachos Their fries are steak fries, if anyone cares to knowMy mom said her margarita was strong (but also she never drinks so...)I was served the wrong beer and not really sure how the mixup could've happened. I also didn't think there was really anything special on draft (this is the same thing is say about many bars in East Sac), and I didn't feel the need to complain about itWaitress seemed a bit overwhelmed but I think I heard she was the only one staffing the restaurant at the timeSitting outside got wafts of cigarette smoke to nobody smoking around usParking was easy I just think there are better places in the neighborhood to eat, but if you want a bar to watch sports this place will do alright

I stopped in from work to kill some time since Hwy 99 was a mess and I met Francis (Fran) and her friend Mary. Sat with Fran, she and I had a great conversation while watching Thursday Night Football. The food was great, beers were perfect and the company even better. Stopped there after and have not bumped back into Fran :( but I will keep going.
