Clayton Club

After having a delightful time at nearby bar Legend Has It (feel free to reference my review if interested), my friend and I made the short walk over to the Hyatt Centric hotel which houses the Clayton Club rooftop cocktail lounge. Upon arriving at the sixth floor lounge, we were greeted by a gentleman at a podium whom instructed us that there was open seating. Although there was indoor seating, we wanted to sit outside so that we could take in the beautiful backdrop of the well-lit downtown high-rise buildings. Since it was a chilly night, we were grateful to find fireside seating.Roughly five minutes after being seating, a friendly employee by the name of Gabriella greeted and provided us with menus. Even though the bar can make any cocktail, I opted to order the flavorful and holiday season-appropriate Spiced Cider. Less than 10 minutes later Gabriella delivered our drinks as my friend and I were engaged in conversation. Since there was a country concert at the nearby Golden 1 Center, I was anticipating folks rushing the lounge to enjoy a quick drink before attending the concert; however, it appeared that the Clayton Club may be a hidden gem at the moment.I enjoyed my time at Clayton Club and look forward to making a return visit with a couple of friends!

We wanted some drinks with a view since the weather was perfect. The roof top was great. We got there early 5:30 ish and it was pretty empty. Service was always on point and welcoming with recommendations and suggestions. We had some menu cocktails and a good ol' dirty martini. My cousin approved the martini. The food has an Indian fusion vibe to it. We liked everything we tried but the flat bead pizza was my favorite. Watermelon man drink was great also. The only downside here is finding parking and the garage nearby closes at 7pm!!Get inside building and take elevator up to 6th floor. Gender neutral bathrooms that were spotless. Great spot for pre-gaming.

The Clayton Club is a hidden gem. Located on the sixth floor of the Hyatt Centric, it's a rooftop bar- but not on the very top of the building.I've stopped in a few times for a drink and had their Chicken Tandoori Lollipops and Flatbread, which are both very tasty.I prefer to come during off times when it's not as crowded, and it will get packed so be prepared if you have a group.There is an indoor area and outdoor area. Both are comfortable and welcoming and have their own moods. Inside is kind of dark and romantic and outside is open and airy, with a bit of whimsy. It gets a bit of a breeze outside but take note of the weather because when it's hot or super sunny you'll feel it out there.This is a great spot for after work or after dinner drinks, date nights or just a chill spot for a cocktail.

Kristie... knows what's up. She suggested the " Naked and Famous," mezcal cocktail and it's absolutely delicious. The vibes here are welcoming and we will be returning. AD is playing the low key hip hop jams in the background... it's so vibey. Super nice birthday evening. Thank you Kristie for your expertise and true bartending skills. Bartenders like you are not as common as I'd like... we bartenders are picky ...Anyways - thank you Clayton Rooftop Bar.

When you enter the hotel, you head the elevators and head to the 6th floor. You will then find the rooftop bar and lounge & the vibe is so chill.I came with my sisters and it was my first time, they were the ones to recommend & it was so much fun. The drinks were really good & the pricing was considered the norm versus other bars.I think what made the experience great was our service! Gabi was amazing, she was so polite & really took care of us. We really appreciated her service. Overall the experience was awesome & I totally recommend if you're looking for a chill night out with some friends.

This place has a nice ambiance and the outdoor balcony is nice during the sunset. For the cold fall and winter nights they have long fire pits that are nice. The drinks were good, but their happy hour food options are just alright. For the price and amount of food you get, there's definitely other happy hours that are better value. Might come back in the future for a drink if I'm in the area.

Feel little late to party ! Hidden little gem in the Hyatt. Head up to the 6th floor for great place to invibe. Love the ambiance rooftop view very good --- really had no idea this even exsisted . Had excellent service --- wait staff was good . Very good Martini!Very good food and priced comparable to an average bar and the Clayton Club was far from an average Sacramento bar ! EVERYTHING WAS A GREAT VIBE !!!

We arrived on a rainy Saturday after attending an event at the 7th Street Standard restaurant in the Hyatt Centric Hotel. Located on the 6th floor of the hotel, this is an intimate place to relax and enjoy a drink. This was our first visit here, so we asked for a menu and then found a comfy place to sit. We admired the interior of the lounge, which has a cool vibe with low lighting and a corner display of album covers that pay tribute to jazz musicians. We placed our drink orders. I ordered the "special" drink, the Sacramento Kings Gambit ($16), and my husband ordered an Old Fashioned ($16). Both drinks were nicely prepared, and Tone, the bartender, is friendly and personable.There is an outdoor seating area with a great view; and I'm told you can see the purple light beam when the Kings win a home game. Unfortunately, the outside was closed because it was rainy and everything was soaked, so we will have to check it out again some other time.

This bar is perfect for a romantic date night. The decor is stunning in every corner, it's dimly lit, it's upscale and quiet and just a real sexy vibe! The bartender name is Eric and he was amazing! made the best drinks. My husband ordered a New York sour and I received a drink he recommended to me called the Machu Pichu and it was so bomb! Don't you just love a bar tender who quickly gets to know your taste and makes you the perfect drink ? Yeah, me too! We sat outside near the fire pit and just vibed out! Great bar!

To those of you looking for an upscale, elegant and sophisticated lounge in the heart of downtown Sacramento, look no further because the "Clayton Club" will have you covered. Located on the 6th floor of the Hyatt Centric Hotel at L and 7th St's, this rooftop bar/lounge has been opened since early-2022. Since then, there has been a respectable amount of positive reviews. I finally had the opportunity to check this place out for myself during the evening of Saturday 12/09/2023.As many people already know, parking can be a pain in this part of town as there are several pay-to-use parking garages in close proximity. I would recommend taking rideshare (Uber/Lyft) especially on nights where they do concerts and sporting events. Reservations are strongly recommended as my lady and I made reservations via-OpenTable for 8:30pm. After entering through the hotel lobby, we made a short walk to the elevator. Keep in mind that the inside of the elevator does not show which floor Clayton Club is on. Oddly, it is on the 6th floor even though the hotel itself has 11 floors total.Upon entering, a gentleman at the check-in area looks up my name on the reservation and all is good. The inside of this place has a very hip and modern look to it but also a very classic retro vibe as well. They pay respect to legendary jazz/blues musicians as there are several album covers on the walls. You will also notice posh seating with a variety of fabric and leather sitting areas as well as a very nice bar area. However, the real winner is their rooftop lounge that offers ample seating, firepits and heating lamps (for the cool nights), and a picturesque view of the downtown Sacramento skyline. Waiter service was very accommodating as our hostess took care of us in the 90 minutes that we were here. I went with an IPA while my lady ordered a glass of Red Merlot. In addition to their fancy cocktails, they also carry several small bites including ceviche, meatball sliders, street tacos, and much more. Their hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 5:00-10:00pm. If you wish to indulge in larger portions of food, check out the "7th Street Standard" (also inside the Hyatt Centric) that offer generous hours in their brunch, lunch, and dinner. All in all, "Clayton Club" is an excellent intimate atmosphere that I highly recommend. My rating, a unanimous five stars.
