Watching the bartenders at the theater is painful! SO Slow!!! Why doesn't each bar have at least two people, one to make cocktails and one to take payment? This is ridiculous. I've been in line for over 30 minutes, it's not like she's making craft cocktails.

We used Classique to cater our wedding at the downtown Tsakopoulos Library Galleria in September and they did a FANTASTIC job. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and their staff was attentive and took care of us and our guests from start to finish. Additionally, their prices were very reasonable compared to the other authorized caterers for our venue, and they included a LOT more in their prices. We really appreciated how hard their staff worked to make our wedding food, bar, and service perfect. We were a multicultural wedding and we were looking for a reasonably-priced caterer that could incorporate both of our cultures into our food. Heather, the sales manager, suggested an idea which was the best out of all the proposals we had received from different caterers. Rather than just have the typical hors d'eouvres & buffet meal, she suggested having three different "themed" stations. We decided to have a Mexican station, a Thai station, but weren't sure what to do with the 3rd station. We floated the idea of having a fusion "Thai-xican" station and Heather and Chef Mike totally embraced the idea. They weren't afraid to experiment, and they pulled off a creative fusion station with tasty spicy basil chicken tacos and a fried rice with chorizo. Also, even though they didn't have Thai food on their menu, they were more than willing to customize. Chef Mike made these delicious chicken satay skewers and a yummy eggplant basil dish. We have several foodie friends who all complimented the taste and quality of the food. We loved the food - it was creative, fresh, and delicious. And we cannot say enough good things about the Classique Catering staff. They were courteous & professional, and they really went above and beyond the day of our wedding. Heather had taken diligent notes from our calls, emails, and tastings and had listed everything on our banquet order so we knew she was familiar with all of our wedding details. She was there on-site before our wedding working with the banquet captain to make sure everything was set up correctly. All of our linens and place settings were set up properly and on-time. Also, the groom spotted Chef Mike before our wedding - we weren't a particularly large wedding and it said a lot to us that the head chef was on-site to make sure the food was perfect. And throughout the wedding, the banquet captain, servers, and bartender really worked hard to take care of us and our guests. As soon as we sat down, they offered to make plates for us from each station so we didn't have to take the time going to each station - and we actually got to eat at our own wedding! The cake service and champagne toast (which included both alcoholic and nonalcoholic options) were well-executed. Dirty plates were cleared promptly, the bartender was great, the bar set-up was classy, and the coffee station was also set up well. Throughout our wedding, the catering staff were pleasant, helpful, & hard-working. They were AWESOME.Lastly, we felt that Classique by far offered the best value of the different caterers we had received proposals from. Their prices INCLUDED standard table linens, cloth napkins, dishes, glassware and flatware. Other caterers make you rent all of these items individually (which adds up quickly), and then they'll charge you a service fee for the rentals. Also, their 21% service fee includes a partial gratuity which goes to their workers - I believe the part that goes to the workers is a 12.5% gratuity. We ended giving an additional cash tip on top of that because the staff was so wonderful. When comparing caterers - look carefully at their service charge and what it includes. The lowest service charge we found was 20% but did not include any gratuity for the workers. The worst we saw was another catering company that charged a 20% labor fee and another 16% service fee on top of that, none of it which went towards a gratuity for the workers! Classique also included in their pricing labor for a 6-hour event, while other caterers only offered 5 hours. Classique's contract terms were also fair and reasonable regarding guaranteed guest count cut-offs, deposits, etc. They also did not charge an extra fee for using a credit card like some other caterers.Overall, we were very pleased with the food and service Classique provided for our wedding. I see the reviewer below took issue with their communication, and here's our advice - have realistic expectations, especially given the volume of catering they handle. Truth be told, we brides-to-be are a nervous, anxious, and needy bunch. There were a couple of times I would've liked a more immediate response, but ultimately, I felt Heather responded to my inquiries and requests within a reasonable timeframe. And bottom line- they got the job done, and done well. We were so glad we chose Classique as our wedding caterer, and we highly recommend them for their great food, service, and value.

The food tasted great. The price was reasonable. The service was pretty good. The bartender was AWESOME! Just a few issues with our wedding night:-the number of tables and place settings were off, creating some confusion early in the event-we thought we were getting pasta as a vegetarian option, instead they got some black bean patty-the cake service was not executedI think if we touched base with them beforehand, it would have been a little better. Otherwise, not bad.

I literally can not say enough great things about this business.Heather Johanson was AMAZING!!! We had them cater lunch for our wedding in June 2014 and it was FLAWLESS!! We never had to worry about anything (including a lot of stuff we never even thought about!!).The entire staff was absolutely fantastic! We heard a lot of horror stories about caterers and their staff, but there was never a moment of uneasiness with Classique. They are not the cheapest caterer around, but their prices are not out of this world either. And - of course - you get what you pay for. This is a union shop with full-time employees and it shows. The food was great. The planning and logistics were impeccable. The staff was absolutely professional. If you want to save money, go elsewhere. If you want your event to run without a hitch and not have to worry or fret, stop looking. You've found your caterer.

My husband and I were married at the Memorial Auditorium where we also held our reception catered by Classique Catering. We worked with Heather throughout the entire process and she was incredibly professional, patient and friendly the moment we met her. We had a topnotch menu tasting and were so impressed with the high-quality presentation of food and attentive service the entire evening. We even received numerous compliments regarding both the food and bar from our guests. Heather went above and beyond to meet our needs, answering my many emails and did her best to accommodate everything my husband and I envisioned. We could not have asked for a better person/catering company to work with.

Heather at Classique Catering made my wedding at the Sacramento Convention Center absolutely amazing. She genuinely cared about making sure the wedding went exactly how I imagined - went above and beyond my expectations. Worked with me on every detail and accommodated us in everyway. Without Heather it would not have gone as perfectly as it did. The staff is flawless - everything was executed to the T - from service, food and professionalism. The food was delicious and perfectly served. Thank you for making my wedding incredible - I highly recommend Classique Catering!

I did not go with Classique Catering for our wedding because of their lack of customer service. So this is a review on just that -- their lack of customer service. I wrote an email to the Manager, Vicki, with my complaints of one of her employee and she was apologetic and professional with her response. For that, my review moved to 2 stars instead of 1. My fiance and I booked a beautiful wedding venue. We were provided a preferred vendor list that included Classique Caterer company. We are having a unique wedding experience to incorporate my fiance's european culture. This calls for an extended cocktail hour (approximately 4 hours) and a 4-5 course plated dinner. We are looking at the time frame for service from 4-4:30pm until 11pm (this not including set-up or breakdown). Therefore, we are looking at 10-12 hours of service. I have provided an overview of our vision as well as several questions we had for the catering services and what can and cannot be done. I sent my first initial request on October 18th to both Heather and Judy of Classique as their information was provided on the website. Heather was the first to respond instead of Judy so this was is my review on her -- I guess they split their work.I sent a follow up email as my first request was not addressed on the 22nd. Still no response. I called on Wednesday, 23rd. I was told that Heather was on the other line and she would call me back. When she called me back, she put me on hold once again. When she finally got on the line she seemed very unprepared. She mentioned that I had sent her several emails and have been waiting to talk to her, but never once did she apologize for not being responsive to me. Nevertheless, she went through my questions to the best of her ability. What upset me was when she spoke about the service/staff fee. She had mentioned it will be more expensive because of the extended period we are requesting. This is fine as we expect the service will be more due to overtime. However, what bothered me was how she addressed it, as if it was VERY EXPENSIVE and we could not afford it! First of all, do not assume we cannot afford it. Second, if she is part of the sales team, she is not portraying their catering services well enough. Instead, she is emphasizing how expensive Classique is because their team is part of a union. I have been waiting since the 18th for her to respond to me, and after she clearly advises the expensive costs of the staff/service, she proceeds to ask if I wanted to proceed. Of course I do! otherwise, I would not be calling/emailing this whole time! She goes over a few of my questions and once we near the end of the call, I asked for a general proposal so that I can get an idea of what to expect in terms of the total costs. She again mentions she knows I have been waiting for some time (with no apology) and tells me she will get me a general proposal no later than Friday 25th. I called on the 23rd afternoon. I expected she would extend some kind of customer service and provide a proposal by the 24th, but rather, she told me 25th. Fine. Friday passes, nothing. I emailed Monday, 28th for an update. Nothing. Finally, Judy emails me Tues 29th asking if Heather was able to reach out to me as she is busy this week. Regardless whether or not she is busy, she should have at least contacted me via email, or a quick phone call. I come from a sales background, and I, 110% know the importance of an initial contact and follow-up. As a result, I am now in this position. Coming from such extraordinary service from our venue to this lack of service was very disappointing. I will be contacting My venue to share my experience as this was a preferred caterer. Other caterers that I have spoken to have been so helpful and responsive. I will be moving forward with a different preferred caterer who seemed to want to work with us and wanted our business. We expect 275 guests (if not more) and would have given them the opportunity to work with us on such a unique event. This is not your average 3 course dinner with 2-3 appetizers and 1 hour cocktail hour. We are talking about tripling if not quadrupling the event in one night, with a possibility of serving our farewell brunch the following day for around the same amount of guests. I am sharing my experience in hopes That no other future inquiries from potential clients would be handled in such manner. It is bittersweet as I am glad that this happened in the beginning of our search because it allowed us to keep a "top standard" on the kind of customer service we expect to have throughout the wedding planning. I was given advice by previous couples that if there is lack of communication first hand, imagine how it would be later down the line, especially when it gets down to the wedding day. This is definitely not something we would want to risk. I am now happy to move forward and put this behind us.

Just attended a large corporate event at Sacramento Convention Center today with catering done by Classique Catering...WHAT A TREAT!! Food was delicious, beautifully displayed, unique, plentiful, easy to serve and cut into pieces that were easy to eat. The staff members were friendly, helpful and efficient. Food was served right up to the closing time rather than letting the food get finished off and plates get empty as a way to wind down the service.

THE BARTENDING STAFF STOLE 80$ OF CHANGE INCORRECTLY NOT GIVEN TO ME. I attended a professional conference at the Sacramento Convention Center and had a terrible experience with the staff of Classique Catering. At one of the social events, I purchased a 6$ beer from the bartender from Classique Catering with a 100$ bill, he gave me change for a $20 dollar bill (I was talking to a colleague unfortunately not paying attention to the change) . In the 15 minutes it took me to realize that, the bartender told me well "too bad". I contacted the GM of Classique Catering, Vickie Housholder. While she was polite on the phone she also right away insinuated that maybe I dropped the money, and questioned whether I even gave the bartender a $100 bill, quite insulting. She got back to me about 6 hours later and said there was a 100$ bill in the till (the only one), but the count for the night was perfect, no extra money at all (my change was missing 80$). It was clear that the bartender or bar back stole my change 80$ from the till as they knew I could not prove otherwise. Vickie was not concerned with making things right and basically told me just like the bar back, "too bad" have a great day? It is unbelievable how this business is run, the customer is not right and apparently they are comfortable employing thieves! I recommend anyone attending anything at the Sacramento Convention Center closely PAY ATTENTION TO THE CATERING STAFF HANDLING YOUR MONEY at catered events as I unfortunately did not.Update: the GM Matthew from the Convention Center, contacted me and was gracious and very professional. He made everything right and was very apologetic about the experience. The Convention Center was great for the meeting, and was a wonderful host, I'm only reviewing the Catering Company.

I attended the governor's wrap up reception and then a few weeks later an event in Roseville. The food was excellent and the staff was attentive! Voodoo shrimp on dry ice, and some of the best sushi I've ever had. Clearly they are in demand and do an excellent job.
