Moved into west Roseville March 2024. Lived in Sonoma CA since 1973. At first I had plenty of reservations about coming here. Even though I owned a house here for 9 years that was an income property, I never seriously considered to live in it. Thought I'd live in Sonoma until I died.Well, at the behest of my adoptive Roseville family and the urging of my wife I capitulated to move. And after 10 months of being here I'm diggin' it. I actually like Roseville with an 85% approval rating.I like the excellent infrastructure. The roads are mostly in excellent condition. The tap water is drinkable without crinkling my nose. There's tons of retail for anything I could possible need or want. Lots of good mom n' pop reasonably priced restaurants. I have no children, my neighbors who do give the public school system high approval.Only have one major complaint: The driving habits of the local denizens is horrible to the max. Driving the 4 lane wide surface streets often feels like a demolition derby. Too many speeders, too many sudden lane cut-offs that make me jam on the brakes. The massive size pick up driving good ole' boys are the absolute worst. They drive like it's their constitutional right to commit vehicular manslaughter and laugh about it afterwards. My life long Roseville resident 34 year old nephew has been seriously rear ended twice in the past two months by teenagers who were texting while driving. Can't wait until 100% autonomous vehicles become the vehicle norm.Maybe I'll just start walking everywhere but then again I'd fear for my life every time I enter a crosswalk.Love y'a Roseville. My fellow citizens please drive like you respect the lives of others.

The City of Roseville is changed from a small town to a huge community with tens of thousands of homes and so many businesses and shopping centers in the last 30 years. The city has one of the two normally operated major shopping malls in the greater Sacramento area - The Galleria in Roseville is the biggest shopping in Greater Sacramento. Their only competitor is Arden Fair Mall. But still way behind the Galleria in Roseville after Arden Fair lost its 2nd biggest tenant - Nordstrom after Sears. We have only one Nordstrom Department Store in the whole Sacramento area remaining now! It is also in Roseville Galleria Shopping Mall. The area becomes a major shopping and entertainment hub for the Sacramento area together with so many stores, restaurants, and entertainment like Macy's, JC Penney, Nordstrom Rack, Cinemark, Regal, Mikuni, Fat's, Flame & Fire... Etc. Roseville has pretty bad traffic as all the cities in California. But it will not stop me from going there!

Beautiful small town that getting more modern, some parts remind me of how downtown San Jose use to be while other parts still remind me of the old west with wide open space and the Union Pacific Train thundering through. There are a lot of "newer" neighborhoods that look cookie cutter ish while some other neighborhoods look like a perfectly manicured Saratoga. Roseville has all the newest chain stores, restaurants even a HUGE Westfield Mall, a gulf corse and a major Hotel chain all within 5 minutes of each other.

How does one not like Roseville?I first moved to Roseville in 1991. My family decided to adopt my sister and me. I remember everything being so big!! My house, my back pack, my walk to Sierra Gardens elementary school... the teachers were so nice. Over the years, the school has permanently closed (that's how you know your old, is when your elementary school is no longer in business, lol). I remember it being a beautiful, peaceful neighborhood. Roseville is still wonderful and peaceful. It has grown so much bigger in population and new businesses. There are so many places to shop and activities to do. I watched the Galleria mall as it was built. It has activities, shopping, eateries! Around the mall, there is more shopping and food to be eaten! The Fountains shopping area can be a stop for a spa day, frozen yogurt, food, shoes, cookies, games, or just a pleasant walk. If you wanted to visit downtown Roseville, that area is a little more historic. Roseville has a water park (Sunsplash) with video games, miniture golf and Lazer tag. Something I love doing is going to Folsom Lake. Yes, I know it's in the next city over, but for anyone traveling, the Douglas Blvd exit through Roseville is the main exit to get there. I love that I grew up in Roseville. I wouldn't change a thing.

Remember Roseville back in the early 90's. There was barely any stores or shopping centers.Forward 25-30 years later and it is crowded with a huge mall (Galleria Mall), The Fountains and stores left and right plus the housing bloom and so on...Let's not forget the Old Roseville and all the vibe it has to offer! In other words it is a great place to shop or just to hang out.One down side I'ld like to point out is the rent and housing prices. It shot up the roof the last 4-5 years. So yeah if you're in the area it is definitely worth stopping and checking this area out.4 stars for Roseville

Rosalie in your passport services building 316 I believe should NOT be working customer service. I'm shocked by her unprofessionalism. She was short with me when I asked questions & even MOCKED me. Please move her to the back as I will not be returning to this building for my services or recommending anyone else to as a result.

Hey Department heads. I notice a lot of red light runners. Up to 6 at a time. I use to get angry over but I realized, if you're driving threw an intersection on a green light at the speed limit, The yellow light turns to not even a full second and then turns to red by the time you get threw the intersection. Yes, I know there are the impatient red light runners and they deserve what they get. There's a $470 fine for driving threw a red light. This inspired me to have a dash cam to prove the discrepancy. The roads department needs to look at this.I'm not a earthy hippie but what's up with your recycling. You're 20 years behind the curve. My trash can fills up quick with recycled items. Yes I read that they get recycled and sorted when dumped. Get a recycling can. Make everyone's life easier. To all the haters of this post, NFG
