Wow! Such a great first experience. They are still in the soft opening phase. Came early on Saturday morning. We love the open concept. Employees were so nice! Limited menu is the way to go. Earl Grey Latte- so yummy and light. You can really taste the flavor and quality of the beans. Pho Americano- so different and unique! the story behind how they started and where they source coffee beans is amazing. Everyone is so friendly! Will definitely be back!

They're still in their soft opening phase, but they have strong concentrated drinks that are a great start to the morning. We got the earl gray latte and the pho americano. Great open space concept and dog friendly! Cute logo too! Very clean bathrooms too.

Pros: exclusively offers Vietnamese coffee beansCons: over extracted coffee*Minimal Coffee MenuParking: Side street parking, can possibly pull up to quickly grab to-go on the actual lot but it is sandwiched between resident parking (park at your own expense)Ambiance/Interior: open garage style concept with high exposed ceiling, bench tables to the left, employee work station to the right, and a few smaller tables inside/outsideService: FriendlyThy Thy Pour Over 2/5:My assumption was that this would be a mellow, medium/dark roast coffee and to my surprise the first sip had nice acidity but bitterness and astringency (drying & papery on tongue) followed which told me it was over extracted. Today it fell short probably due to the pour over process. It has potential to be tasty, especially for those of us who prefer a darker roast (I'm a light roast girlie).Iced Pho Americano:It tastes like the name - Pho! I believe it to be star anise and a mixture of honey/sugar cane sweetener of some sort. Espresso tasted mild (it's an Americano) but fit the drink profile. My sibling and I didn't fancy it but it was well made. Therefore, I won't rate this one as it's based on taste preference.Overall, I'm glad that there's a specialty coffee shop that is highlighting Vietnamese beans exclusively. There are some things to smooth out as they are a new cafe but I believe that they'll find and build their coffee community. All the best of luck!

Yelpers represent! I came across this new cafe roastery on Yelp and went to give it try. The owner was so surprised that people were finding their cafe through Yelp I told her it popped up on my radar and it seemed neat, especially since I don't usually see a Vietnamese coffee shop in Midtown. She was very grateful. I tried their earl grey latte and it was surprisingly strong but just the perfect drink I needed for such a hot day. I really like their set up. It's simple, but elegant (especially the bathrooms). I'm wishing the business lots of growth and success!

I love coffee. I love checking out new coffee places. I love internationally traveling for coffee. Chloe just opened a few weeks ago. The entrance to this place is via the alley. When I arrived there were about 15 Porsches present for a cars and coffee meet up. And a beautiful Porsche sitting inside the shop, certainly the focal point of the shop. Their menu says they serve single origin espresso shots. That's my jam. That's mostly what I order wherever I am. Shots of espresso lets you know a lot about a place. We order two shots of single origin espresso and the person taking the order seems confused, like they didn't know what that was even when it's the top menu item. Yup, two shots for here, please. I can see the nice green glassware set up on top of their espresso machine. And when the order came up, it was served in 2 paper cups which was odd given they had glassware. They were selling homemade cookies at the counter and we bought one of the chocolate and walnut cookies. These were very well done. Good ratio of chocolate to walnut, good texture to the cookie itself. Honestly, this should be business, these cookies. The website for Chloe says they are using the "finest beans from Vietnam." I like Vietnamese beans. These were not the finest beans. But I don't want to get ahead of myself. Even if the beans had been exceptional, the shot was terribly pulled. Way too much water, no crema. Even watered down, you could still tell the beans were disappointing. The beans had no nuance, no special notes. Very disappointing for a place to advertise single origin beans yet the shot can't be pulled properly and the bean is underwhelming . Now, my friend did get a Vietnamese coffee and she liked it. Which make sense because that sweetened condensed milk will cover up the sins of poorly pulled shots. Would I come back? Meh. I want to like this place but I feel like the Porsche in the middle of their shop was a metaphor for this business. The focus in the shop should be the coffee, not the car or car/coffee meetups . The focus is in the wrong place. Instead of focusing on the drinks, they should be concentrating on the quality of the bean and the craft of the shot. There are a lot of places doing Vietnamese coffees and doing it better (18 grams comes to mind). If I could give this place 2.5 I would. I'll bump it to 3 out of 5 based on the strength of the cookie. As a new entry to a very dense and great Sacramento coffee scene, I wish this place luck as they will need it.

Thanks to the recent reviews on Yelp and IG posts I added Chloé Cà Phê & Roastery to my must visit coffee shops for the weekend. We stopped in today and it's a very cute spot. It's tucked away on Jazz Alley between J & K and 25th & 26th, but easy walking distance from free parking and easy to find once you're on Jazz Alley. We were greeted even before we walked in, they had a car show earlier in the day and some of the cars were still parked outside (super cool). We had our dog with us and learned that they're dog friendly and the open space makes it easy to stop in for a quick coffee or stick around and enjoy it at one of their indoor or outdoor tables. They're still testing out the menu, but I landed on two options that were calling my name. The Earl Grey Latte (iced $6.50) and the Shaken Pho Americano ($8). Both were really unique and delicious. The Earl Grey Latte was sweet and had a lot of flavor, and I was surprised it had espresso as well as the Earl Grey- I thought it was such a great combo. While I'm a coffee drinker, my husband who isn't would have loved as a version without espresso too- the Earl Grey flavors they created are delicious. This is super drinkable and is such a treat. The Shaken Pho Americano is much more coffee forward, but is also sweet and savory and the pho spices were delicious in coffee. I have never had a coffee like this and would 100% order it again. I love seeing coffee houses offering adventurous items and standing out from other locations.I'm so excited to see how this coffee shop grows and I can't wait for my next visit.

Another solid cafe in Midtown--but it's not just lattes and pourover. My sister got the Shaken Pho Americano, which at first was a bit to adjust to. It really did taste exactly like Pho (sans fish sauce, but that could be interesting...). By the third sip, it REALLY grows on you. It's not overly sweet and I like that it's an Americano and not a latte, because Pho isn't milky. My fav drink from here and will be so refreshing on a hot Sacramento summer day! I got the Earl Grey Oat Latte (pictured)--which was nice and floral, but was a bit too sweet for me. I would adjust the sweetness next time, and I'm curious to try it iced. The space is enormous! I'm curious about what they're going to do with the rest of it. The bathroom is crazy nice--how many cafes do YOU know with 3 brand new sinks?! Like I wish more restaurants and bars did this. tl;dr: don't sleep on the Pho Americano! It's weirdly refreshing.

Found Chloe Ca Phe on Instagram and knew we needed to come check it out asap! We came on a Sunday morning, so it was nice and quiet! They're located on Jazz Alley, so we parked for free on 26th and it was a few steps away. Look for the mural and blue building, and it'll be inside there! We were greeted right away by a few employees including the owner. After we got our drinks he was kind enough to come over and tell us more about the business and their mission. It's the first one to bring truly single origin coffee beans from Vietnam! The shop itself is very minimalistic, clean, and modern - they plan to have the roaster on one side and the other side for customers dining in. The Pho Americano definitely caught our eye right away, we had to get it! I'm not normally a fan of americanos but this was so delicious! I think people would be confused about the "pho" aspect but you're not drinking a bowl of pho. The spices from pho go well with the espresso and it is a happy combo! We also had a vanilla latte with sweet cream to be on the safe side, and it was a good option if you want to start out simple! The owner was kind enough to also let us try out their earl grey latte with oatmilk. I am not normally an earl grey person but this was so good - I think my favorite of the three drinks! It's super fragrant as soon as you take a sip. Typically tea lattes can be on the watery side but this one is so creamy! Really appreciated the kind service and the owner taking the time to talk with us. I can't wait to see what other drinks and ideas they come up with soon!

Definitely a place you need to try! The staff and owner are extremely friendly! Their interior design is very aesthetically pleasing when you first walk in. I got the Pho Americano and they nailed it! It was literally Vietnam in a cup! I also got their Earl Grey, which was delicious! I usually don't like Earl Grey, but they changed my mind!

I found this place on google maps and decided it was a great day to ride my moto there. Pros: I went there and it was a great atmosphere, great customers service, great and unique drink, Shaken Pho Americano $8 at the time of this post, albeit super tiny (see photo of mason jar comparison). My first impression was it is a great atmosphere, clean, well organized, and professional.Cons: Parking is iffy, limited seating (and super uncomfortable wooden bench no cushion) given how much space there is (without the car), a parked car inside, which wasn't bad, however, they started the car with no warning and drove it out - the car was loud & exhaust fumes from the car lingered for a little. The menu is lacking Vietnamese Coffee. All in all great new shop for Sacramento, I hope to see its success. I'll be sure to update this the more I go.Response: I don't see how an announcement, if any, would be reasonable considering the noise levels and (a few) patrons at tables had earphones in. There were plenty of staff, at least 1 person could've definitely went table to table to inform. Also, you might want to proofread your replies from gen AI tools before posting them.
