Still in the hunt for the best Chile Relleno in the Sac area, and very open to suggestions. **This was a DoorDash Order**Chile Rellano Burrito: 6.1/10- Better than others I've tried. Nice portion, the pepper itself was the star of the burrito (as it should be). Crispy Taco (Chicken): 6.3/10- Better than Taco Bell, good portion of meat, a bit too seasoned, but fine, I guess. Tres Leches Cake: 6.6/10- Def a different take on this dessert. More of an upscale, frufru rendition. Not bad per se, just not what I was expecting. Overall, it's fine. Prices are decent. Portions are good. I need to try additional items. Try em out!

Tried the breakfast burrito. Might have been good if the ingredients were distributed throughout, but my first few bites were potatoes, followed by rice, bacon, eggs, and spinach. It had been a while, so thought it was worth seeing if they had a Top Notch Sacramento Breakfast Burrito - they do not.

I love Chita's. It's one of those places you go to all the time when you live in the neighborhood. Then when you move away, you come back for the delicious food, the warm service, and the one of a kind vibe. I like the paintings too. It's a little tight inside, but i think that adds to the ambiance. For a place that's so busy, it's nice to see all the smiles of the patrons & workers. Good food, good space. Ooooo and good drinks too.

Solid food, nice customer service and also offered a kiosk to order food which was nice as a first time customer so I didn't feel rushed to place my order. The place is in a great spot in midtown, with lots of parking along the street. The portions were good and the price for four adults and one child was pretty fair. I'm a huge fan or carnitas and have to try it at every place it's offered. I have found some to be too sweet or too over cooked and crunchy but Chita's was definitely one of the best!! The meat was moist and had plenty of flavor, I'll definitely be coming back to try more

I've been coming here for years. I always stumble into this place after a night out for some food. It's conveniently located down the street from few bars so it can get overcrowded. I typically stick to their quesadilla, you can't go wrong.

This has become my go-to taqueria in midtown (and dare I say, all of Sac). The food is so dang good, and I love the salsa and condiment bar that you can fill up on items yourself. They've built a new parklet, so there is now plenty of seating both inside and outside for people to eat. Definitely check it out!

We ordered Doordash delivery on a Monday night. We had the regular burrito ($12.15) with added sour cream ($.65) and the steak taco salad ($13). Taco salad was very tasty. However, I wouldn't exactly call it a "salad". It had about as much lettuce as a Taco Bell crunchy taco. If you fancy a nice 7-layer dip in an edible fried shell, then this is the dish for you! It comes with rice, beans, meat, pico, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, and guacamole. The shell was amazing and makes the perfect "chip" for your bowl of dip. The steak was finely diced (like smaller than a dime) and flavorful. Al pastor regular burrito with added sour cream was great. Comes with choice of meat, rice, beans, and cheese. It's grilled on the outside and has plenty of cheese. I imagine the Al Pastor is the best meat choice, because I simply can't comprehend the idea of anything tasting better! Their mini salsas were quite lovely, but use sparingly because you only get 2 per meal. Also, both made great leftovers the next day.

Happy to report the foods just as good as it was when I started eating here over 10 years ago. Old lady even loved it. I ordered us a burrito too and she legit said it was the best burrito she's ever had. It was still fire a couple days later. Hands down favorite place. Highly recommended. Still!

Last week, I was scrolling through the Chita's menu on Yelp while doing laundry nearby at Love. I could remember old school Yelpers raving about Chita's years ago, and the ratings were still high.Even better, their wet burrito with carne asada was several dollars cheaper than the one from my favorite taqueria in Folsom. Sold. I walked right over to Chita's to order a wet burrito with carne asada, to go, as well as a tamarind Jarritos. When I was paying, the woman behind the counter asked me if I wanted salsa cups. "Yes please!" I always want salsa cups.I didn't notice until after I had paid that chips were sold on the side for $1.50 extra. I should have ordered some, but didn't. My food didn't take very long to come out at all. I walked it back to my spot, and cut right into the middle. The first things I saw were carne asada, guacamole, rice, and pico de gallo-- and I saw a LOT of guacamole. Perfect. The burrito was (by definition) drenched in red sauce, so I wasn't really able to try any of the rest of the salsa with it. I still tried a little of the avocado sauce, and thought it was good, but a little watery. The ingredients on the inside of the burrito were all great. The carne asada and guacamole were top notch for a taqueria at this price point. I liked the red sauce that topped the burrito, but not as much as the sauce at my favorite taqueria chain. The portion size was a bit smaller, but I'm never able to finish the entire burrito at my favorite place, anyway. The customer service was great. The woman who helped me was very friendly. The inside of the shop was clean, but not sparkling. I would definitely love to come back to Chita's to try more of their menu items in the future.

came here after a long night out, and felt so taken care of, I spent most of my money on drinks but thanks to reasonable prices could still afford hangover breakfast. the music the staff were playing made me feel at home. the breakfast burrito and enchiladas are to die for, if you are in the neighborhood this is a must have!
