I, for the most part rarely leave reviews, but seeing how the majority of the negative reviews have been from over 3/4 years ago and the positive experiences both my son and I have had, I felt compelled to leave a review. I will admit that I had my reservations about Childtime, especially since I had already scheduled a tour for the one in Natomas, Childtime of Millcreek (DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT PLACE) and my parent intuition told me not to trust that place. Even though I had an appointment for the one in Natomas, it took about 15 minutes of multiple phone calls and ringing of the bell for someone to finally open the door and let me in. There was no apology, the staff member that answered the door was rude and seemed like I was burdening her. There was no tour or information given, I was just handed an application packet. It took longer for them to open the door to let me in than the "tour" I got. Once again this negative experience was for the one in NATOMAS.Already having a bad impression of any daycare associated to Childtime, my mom raved about the one in Elk Grove after she went to tour it and convinced me to check it out (she was helping me search for a daycare). I originally toured the one in Natomas because it's literally down the street from my work. The Elk Grove staff, from the moment we arrived were warm, happy and overall welcoming. They let my son test out the room he would be in while I got a tour of the place, they walked me down throughout the whole place, explaining what the curriculum would be in his class, and that of every classroom. I liked how their playground is shaded, and their little garden as well. After the tour, I was asked if I had any questions, and answered every single one of them without seeming annoyed by them (they were quite a few lol). After all my questions were answered, we walked back to the front desk, received a packet and went to get my son. He did not want to leave. I decided to enroll him, and while there are some mornings where he's not in the mood to attend daycare, he enjoys going to "school". Every morning as we're getting to the daycare he is excited and eager for "school" to play with his friends and learn. The other children are always happy to see him and on some days greet him with a hug. When I pick him up after work, he's always happy and tells me about his day. The updates I receive throughout the day from them with pictures, what he ate and how much, potty updates, and the overall communication received is an added bonus. Even though choosing this location adds a longer commute for me, it's worth it knowing my son is in good hands and learning. I've definitely seen milestone improvements in him, and love the fact that he enjoys working with puzzles. The only thing that I would like changed would be their method of announcing upcoming events. Sometimes they do post pictures in the app that updates us of our kids day, and other times they have it in a message board up front. But the board faces away from where the parking lot is, so parents have to remember to look at the board either before or after picking/dropping their kids to ensure they're informed of future events. I'd like it if we'd get a list of all the upcoming events for the year with reminders the month of.

Our son was at Childtime from 5 months old to 5 years old when he started kindergarten. We have had a great experience throughout the years. The teachers are kind and caring, and communicated with us frequently. The teachers and directors were responsive to any concerns we had. We love Childtime and would recommend it to anyone looking for dependable, enriching, nurturing care.

I wouldn't recommend this childcare facility to anyone because of the lack of care and supervision of the children I witnessed. At the time of enrollment, I was told there would be 2 teachers per classroom, which there rarely was. This led to my chid coming home with multiple scratches on their face without any explanation from the staff as to how they got there. The director of the facility proceeded to tell me that I should talk to the teacher as she was too busy and had too many classroom to look after. She also went on to state she had received 5 complaints just in that one day and it was impossible for her to be in multiple places at one time. I found this response to be highly inappropriate and unprofessional. I immediately dis-enrolled my child and filed a formal complaint. I would not recommend this Childtime to anyone.

Overall this center was much nicer the then kindercare I observed about a week ago. I love how they have cameras up that is very nice and reassuring for myself and husband. This looks it it might be a good fit and the director was very helpful. Still touring a few other centers before making a choice but I would recommend this center.

This is for the Preschool class. After what I have witnessed, I feel like I have an obligation to warn other parents. I witnessed the main teacher grabbing a kid by the arm and dragging him. The same teacher pushed my daughter to her cot while she was crying. We disenrolled my daughter the next day. I highly doubt there was any consequence for the teacher. It was traumatizing and heartbreaking as it was our first preschool experience. Makes you wonder what goes on behind the camera.

Our 5mon Old started Childtime about a month ago after we pulled him out of Merryhill Laguna Park due to a bad experience (side note: do not take your child there). I must say that it was the best decision we could have made. Ms. Shaima and Ms. Biba are hands down the best! Not only were they so welcoming to my family, they are so great and attentive to our son. They're loving hearts and overall kindness is shown each day. It's nerve wracking leaving the most important person in your life in the hands of others. However, they reassured our spirits that they were trusting, dependable and that our son was in excellent hands. Thank you Ms. Shaima and Ms. Biba! As far as the facility, it's a clean and safe environment. Ms. Laura, Ms. Moa and Ms. Donyale are great! :)

After shopping most daycares in EG, we picked Childtime and the choice was right. Teachers are very friendly, professional, and dedicated to their works. We get warm greetings daily and reports on kids activities throughout a day. My kid was craying at beginning but now she loves her school and friends and teachers. She has been here 1.5 years and we plan to keep her here as much as we can. Ms Betty Ms Olivia are great. Highly recommended Childtime

My 4yr old child has been here for a little over 2 years and I think it's great. The reason I really chose this place was the number of staff they have. Yes, during summer there's probably less staff, but it's because lots of kids are on summer break, very understandable. The staff are flexible in my opinion and we have a great relationship. The rooms are clean, the play area are wide, play structure is covered, and there seems to be a lot of toys for the kids to play with. I visited a few other day care in the surrounding area and I don't think it's comparable. One place on Sheldon blvd was the dirtiest daycare center I'd seen. Kindercare down the street didn't have enough staff. One inhome daycare center only have 1 staff and her unlicensed parents were helping. My kid was too young to enrolled in a super expensive Montessori that will drill here with math problems even before she knows how to scribble. In the end Childtime was perfect!I read a few 1 star reviews and in Childtime defense, babies cry because that's what babies do. How many daycare center out there do you know that has 1:1 baby care? Infant wet their diapers because that's what they do, the staff will come around to them. I'm sure all parents experienced when you change your kids diapers, they sometime wet it again 2 mins later. My 2 year old cry like crazy the first few months, but it's because it's a new experience to her, but eventually she grew into it and really looks forward to being there. The director and staff are upfront with me, it's probably because I asked all the questions before enrolling my child. As a parent of 3 children, I truly think behavior and education starts at home. If your kids throw temper tantrum or don't know their abc's, it's probably because they have parents who are dependent on daycare centers and others to teach their kids. Love your kids, teach your kids, because no one else will. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so that's my opinion. If you ask, YES I would recommend your child to go here. But do you own homework. Write down all you questions and concerns and happy hunting on the perfect daycare center.

I really have no complaints . My daughter started here at 4 months old and is now almost 9 months old . It was the most terrifying experience trying to find somewhere for my baby to be during the day , untill I came here . I knew within minutes this was where we wanted to be , even to this day everyone who works there is so friendly and so nice all the time , it's always very clean and the children around super happy and social They send updates and pictures day long so I always know what my daughter is up too I would highly recommend Childtime Elk Grove , at least for an infant it has been amazing , my child is happy and safe when she is there that's all you can really ask for

I really like this school--both my children (4 and 2) began attending at about four months old. They're happy to arrive and are always full of peppy energy when I pick them up. Additionally, they eat well, they learn a lot, and they hang out with a lot of other friendly kids.By far, my favorite part of Childtime is the staff. The teachers are kind, they know our names, and they're legitimately interested in our kids' education and wellbeing. The prices rise often, usually offsetting the price reductions we're granted when one of our kids moves into an older class (and then some), which is a bummer. Still, we never give the idea of leaving more than a passing thought, because we all just love the school so much.
