Lovely ambiance, good food, nice service. We tried many things we haven't had before. The Chicha drink is a bit sweet, and the sangria is light n yum.

We dined last night for Valentine's day and thankfully had an early reservation. The place is super cute and they did a great job of decorating modestly for Valentine's. I liked how they had balloons tied to the bottles of Malbec at specific tables. While I didn't ask specifically, I think it was their way of noting which tables were reserved. After being shown to our table and seated, we perused the menu and were excited to try some new dishes.......(5 minutes - nada)...(5 more minutes - nada)......(5 more minutes - nada)At one point, someone dropped off two hard biscuits and left. We weren't even offered water, yet. We waited and noticed a couple seated well after us was already placing their order and had water. At this point, I was about to get up and pour ourselves some water, instead, I flagged a server down and asked for some water. The server looked frantic but thankfully got us water, but immediately left. This is the point, where the sever should have said something like "sorry for the delay, your server will with you shortly". The person who I asked for water wasn't assigned to our table. It is Valentine's day and I get it, it is busy and they are doing their best. So we wait...ever so patiently. We never once complained. We waited. After waiting some more, the server assigned to us showed up and apologized for being busy. They asked if we wanted to start with drinks, we said that we would also order as well. We placed our appetizer and dinner order along with two pisco sours. Once our order was placed, the food came out in a timely fashion. However, our drinks somehow did not make it. We figured they'd be out shortly, after about halfway through our meal our server came to check on us and we reminded them about the drinks. We could have been on our second round of drinks if they were delivered on time, alas we only had one round and ended up boxing up the rest to take home. I still give them 4 stars because the food was that good and I liked the setting. Now if they can improve on their service this place will be a great spot to visit regularly.

First time here, was a Saturday evening, Wow! Greeted by a beautiful singing Voice. There's a talented solo vocalist here on Saturdays apparently. Every Saturday evening. I will absolutely come here on a Saturday next time. It was such a treat! So then the appetizers came and I was even more delighted. Yay! Beautiful tender Beef Heart in light pesto with these crazy good potatoes, and I don't even eat potatoes usually. This place will be My Exception! Super yummy. Creamy and flavorful potatoes with beef heart. I could eat this every darn day. The white fish ceviche was so tangy citrus and refreshing. Lots of beautiful onions and nothing was overwhelming, just beautiful and fresh. Then comes a clean feeling beef stew with rice and a seafood paella. Also yummy. I feel the Paella is poorly named and should be readdressed as a Seafood Risotto. It's not like a flavorful Spanish paella, but more of a mellow creamy risotto. Very nice texture. The appetizers were so filling. We had to take most of the entrees home. Oh, did I mention the garlicky herb butter they serve with the house bread rolls. Too good! Salty Herby butter and tastes like a soft pillow of potato bread roll. Mmmmm.

I was on the way to Tahoe for holidays and wanted to stop by for a bite to eat and a group of my friends suggested Peruvian food. Tried to research and this restaurant seems promising. When we got there , late afternoon and looked pretty slow only one big table. The server came out to greet us and show us the table. She is really nice and take good care of us. The food that we got were the ceviche, shrimp soupFettuccini stir fried beef and bisteak. All the food were amazing , I wasn't expecting anything and everything was good.Especially, the ceviche was my favorite, the flavor was sour not too spicy. The seafood was fresh. All the beef was tender. I really recommend this place if you're ever in the area.

My first time having Peruvian food. I had no expectations and was simply looking forward to trying something new with my friends. There are two locations, Sacramento and Roseville. We visited the Roseville location for lunch. My first impression of the decor is very festive and colorful with Peruvian vibe. Maracua sour is a fruity twist on the Peruvian favorite pisco sour. The fragrant passion fruit made this drink a combination of fruity, sweet-tart, refreshing drink. 4/5Trio Cevichero It's a sampler of 3 type of fish. They all kind of taste similar to me. I recommend ordering the taro chips. It balance out the mild fishiness. 3/5Yucas & Platanos FritosI like anything fried. I totally enjoyed this dish. The fried cassava sticks and fried sweet plantains dipped in the sweet creamy sauce was very good. 5/5Pollo SaltadoIt's a Peruvian favorite! Wok stir-fried chicken with onions, tomatoes, soy sauce, french fries, jasmine rice and fried egg. I liked all the ingredients in this dish. The chicken was a bit chewy and way too much onions. 4/5They also have a buffet on the last Sunday of each month but November is the last one of the year. It's a nice spread for $45 per person. I just don't eat that much to take advantage, at least not $45 worth. Friendly service. Our waitress was great at explaining the menu and attentive.

When we first moved out to the Sacramento area, this was our place for Peruvian food. Since they have opened their new location in Midtown, it makes me sad to say that this location has dropped down in food quality. The service was excellent, the ambiance was "peruvian" and their waiters are very attentive. But unfortunately, the food is no longer as good as it used to be, the Peruvian drink chicha you can tell is not made fresh - but maybe more of the powder mix? I am Peruvian and I can surely say that that is not freshly made chicha. That or they need to change up the recipe for it.Aside from the food quality dropping, it's definitely gotten more expensive since they've opened the new location. Sad to say that due to the price, and just the overall food quality, my family and I have decided not to return unfortunately.

I have been meaning to write this review for so long.We set up a lunch with a friend and chanced upon their last Sunday of the month buffets. We lucked out and got seats, but you need to reserve in advance. Other Sunday lunches are regular sit down meals.I felt especially fortunate because we hadn't triedPeruvian food before and this buffet style gave us an opportunity to try many dishes at once. This was a great fun meal, all dishes were absolutely delicious. Like many places in the burbs of Sacramento, not much to see on the outside, but lively and flavorful food on the inside.I am thinking about when we can go again. Also they will be opening a 2nd restaurant in the downtown area. So I look forward to trying that!

Our second meal here. Another Sunday dinner for us. This time, there weren't that many customers. We got seated near the bar.For drinks, we got the Chicha Morada (purple corn) and Pisco Sour. Both were refreshing for drinks that we've tried for the first time. For main dishes, our son chose the Bistec a lo Pobre (10 oz NY steak) with fries, fried sweet plantains, fried egg and fresh tomatoes. My wife opted for the Lomo Saltado a la Antigua, stir-fried tenderloin with onions, tomatoes and fried egg served on a bed of fries and rice. I got the Chupe de Camarones (Peruvian shrimp chowder) with aji pepper, quinoa and fried egg. Now, the obvious commonality with our picks for dinner is the fried egg. Maybe unusual for dinner but no complaints from this family. Desserts were son's and wife's preferences. Churro & Caramel Sticks and House Peruvian Bread Pudding to end our dinner. Our server was nice and helpful. He gave us two servings of the house bread with garlic butter. Full bellies out the door. Planning on returning for Happy Hour (Monday to Friday 3-6).

Not only was the food amazing and flavorful the service was TOP notch. Some of the best service I have ever gotten. Our server was amazing giving us the best recommendations and just overall had the best energy. They even made my grandma feel so special on her birthday. The food was so good we were all swapping plates to get a bite! My personal favorite was the fettuccine. The restaurant is tucked away in a shopping center, but don't overlook it!

Fantastic service and delicious, elevated Peruvian food!Everything is prepared to order so it's easy for them to work around food allergies and adjust spice levels. Gluten Free and vegetarian options are clearly marked on the menu.If you are clean and sober: ask them to remove any alcohol from the table before you are seated so it doesn't trigger you.
