Our family came for a rugby tournament and it was great to see all the kids from U8, U10, U12, and middle schools play throughout Northern California. The many fields allowed for concurrent games and the park itself accommodated the many families, cars, and food trucks in the complex. The parking is $10, the park rangers are on patrol, the grass in the fields were maintained and the many portapotties spread throughout the complex made it convenient for the players, coaches, friends and family to use the bathroom when needed. Although the bathrooms could be better maintained, it's a tall order when you have an event that lasted 8 hours with hundreds of people at the complex at a time.

Hi-ya! These soccer fields are pretty good. The county has taken over ownership and they are good about charging you $10/ day for parking along the fields and in the parking lot. Do not try to park outside along the road in front of the gates anymore. Park rangers will ticket you. Again we saw it happening and they are digging a trench along that area to stop people from parking. The fields are not shaded, and where there is shade is limited to watch as a spectator. The bathrooms are readily available (tournament days) they bring port o' let in. Plus they are good about bringing in food vendors.Overall, the county has done a good job collecting that money, but the fields are not as green as I remember, but they let you park in more areas along the fields.Overall still we enjoy these fields. Greta place, but wish there was more shade--oh no dogs on the fields which makes sense. Also I see no dogs period signs, but the no dogs on fields makes me think maybe you can bring them, but not let them get anywhere along the field.

Came for the Puma Invitational. All grass fields. Bathrooms were fairly clean in the center of the complex. Love the shaded pavilion area. Trees here and there but far fewer in between around the outer edges of the complex. Some porta potties had no toilet paper which was rough. It gets hot here. Some sketchy folks around the complex.

Excellent field for tournaments or games. The Cherry Island Sports complex hosts well over a dozen well maintained and manicured soccer fields. During the tournament food and drink was also offered. If you prefer a restaurant- many are a 5 minute drive away.

Parking was horrible. Expect to seat in a traffic at 28th St for 45 mins, cars are bumper to bumper to get in. With the $8 weekend parking per day, you would think they'll have staff to guide the cars with in and out. So it'll be organize and run smoothly. But it's an ongoing situation. The line to order food (only burger, hotdog and Protein bar) takes more then 40 mins. And separate line to pick-up your food, which took one and a half hour too! Management of this establishment, are you planning to improve your service???

Out in the middle of nowhere: check. Awful, muddy fields when it rains: check. Disgustingly dirty portopotties: check. Absolutely worst soccer fields my son has played at: check. 1 star is being generous. The puddle in the picture is *in* the field of play. And then another photo of our field today. Parking stinks. For a tournament, there isn't enough! And they don't tell you not to park on 28th, you *will* get a ticket.

The soccer mecca in the ghetto!8 fields, all with their own personality - squarely and completely out of the way from any normal soccer playing human(s). Who knew Watt avenue extended this far?$6 per day for parking. But this does allow in-and-out privileges. The scary gate keepers are intimating, they don't play. If you're a baller-on-a-budget, you can park on the perimeter of the fields and walk in, which is free-99!!Dogs are not permitted, which is completely okay in my book. Their dumb owners are normally the ones who don't take care of them and their little do-do droppings. By no means do I want to see dog crap all over the field or the sidelines, and I especially don't want to smell that stuff. But you can always see a few of the smaller dogs who have been hidden in over sized soccer bags...They generally have two or three Field Marshall's roaming around if there are any issues with the field, players, refs, etc. Their snack bar is as average as they come. They sell a variety of bagels in the AM, and they'll toast them too. Burgers that take about 30 minutes to make and hot dogs in the PM feeding frenzy. They carry the generic Gatorade's from Costco and a plethora of snacks - plenty of Carbs & sugars to get your through your tourney. It's a great soccer complex, because it can house tons of people. There is ample shading, but don't get lazy - you have to move around as the day wears on, or else you'll be stuck frying under the sun. Each tourney offers different added things to the atmosphere, so it just depends...The grid-ie in me hates the location, but once I'm there, it isn't so bad!

Even thought I bought a parking pass....they closed off the parking forcing every parent to park in no parking zones which resulted in tickets from Sac Sheriff for everyone. They should NOT oversell parking...especially paying $15 for the weekend. Poor parking management for a annual soccer tournament!!!

Nice fields for our granddaughters soccer tournament. We used to go there for our daughter's games years ago. Lots of parking. Friendly food vendors. Well kept facility.
