My daughter loves coming to CheerXperience for cheer and tumbling. This gym teaches the athletes to be good caring and loving people. The coaches and all the athletes work together and everything is done with love. This is our first year at this gym, but our third year of cheer. We love CheerXperience so much that we have committed to tryingout for next year and we are not even halfway through competition season. #cxmentality

CheerXperience has been truly amazing for my daughter. She has grown in every aspect of cheer. The coaches look for unique approaches to cater to each athlete's needs for success. They not only focus on physical growth but mental growth as well with an intentional focus on child development. I would recommend CheerXperience to any family considering All Star Cheer.

My 8 year old daughter has been in Cheer for 3 years and tumbling for longer. She attended several different gyms and had private lessons at each one to help her develop new skills. She did not truly excel until we started coming here. The coaches are excellent and their guest coaches are amazing too. They have been able to successfully correct her bad habits she had from other gyms and she's now gained more skills in 6 months than she has in all the years of tumbling elsewhere. The coaches take an active interest in their kids and work with all skill levels. If your child is not hitting the skills they have been working towards, CheerX will do it.

As I read through the negative reviews I can't help but relive the horror we went through. Every word written is so frightening because it is true. My heart breaks for these kids and the adults believing in this gym. I too wanted to believe. Don't we all want a place to belong that our children are loved? Words are easy to write and social media makes everything look perfect. Behind closed doors is where it all gets real. Behind those locked doors my daughter lost herself. It was so terrifying I was worried that I wouldn't get her back. Quickly she learned that if you stay quiet enough you won't be noticed, you won't get in trouble. The problem was she loved them like family, but they never loved her. It's easy to excuse bad behavior when you want to be loved. These are young girls looking for direction and questioning so much in their lives.....CheerXperience broke my daughter into a shell of herself. They taught her not to tell, that if you tell you get in trouble. They taught her if you defend yourself, you get tossed out like trash. For these things I can never forgive them. For these things I pray for them that they never do what they did to another child again.

Wish I could give them negative stars based on our treatment. My husband and I just walked into the establishment to try to get some information for our 4 year old daughter. She comes from a long line of cheerleaders and has expressed interest in the sport. The door was open so we thought it would be a good time to gather some information to see if this was a good fit for our baby girl. When we walked in no one greeted us and there was no information to gather or anything to take away. There appeared to be a practice taking place. The "coaches" were sitting down watching the girls. After about 2 min we walked out because no one seemed interested in our business or our presence. One of the "coaches" decided to get up and close the door after we left. We hadn't even made it back to our car yet. I would not recommend this place to any families looking for a welcoming environment for their children. My family and I were very offended and disappointed. I'll be sure to spread the word about this establishment.

I've waited a year now to write a review in an effort to gain an accurate assessment of this gym. My daughter is a High School cheerleader and doesn't participate on one the teams at Cheer Experience. She takes private lessons, has participated in open mat practices and tumbling classes. The fact that that she isn't on a CX team doesn't affect how she is treated. She has been going to CX for lessons over a year now and has improved at a very rapid and safe rate. She never been pressured to join a specific team, or participate in certain classes. CX respects the goals of each participant and caters their training to each athlete based on age, experience and desired outcomes without question. Sarah and her team of coaches stay true to their motto 'You are so loved' no matter who walks through the door. Based on our family's experience (pun intended) so far, I highly recommend Cheer Experience. BTW, the All-Star teams at Cheer X are some of the best in the nation!

I normally do not write reviews, but felt I needed to after reading some of the recent reviews of CX. My daughter just completed her first year of prep team at CX and she absolutely loved it! She came to CX not even knowing how to do a cartwheel and is now able to do a back walkover and almost has her front walkover. The owner, Sarah and her staff are great! I had open communication with Sarah, Kristen, and other coaches the whole season. If I ever have had a concern I have been able to speak to the owner and she was always understanding and completely receptive. Sarah takes the time to get to know the whole child. My daughter can be very stubborn and strong willed and Coach Sarah knows exactly how to work with her and get the best out of her. My daughter absolutely adores her and eagerly awaited private lessons and practices with her each week. Every single time my daughter stepped into that gym she was greeted with warm hugs and love. I witnessed it first hand. At drop off or pick up, when my 2 year old son entered the gym with me, he was greeted with the same warmth. At competitions, they took the time to make those younger girls feel comfortable as well as safe. My daughter does various other activities and without a doubt I can say this is the place she has formed the strongest relationships with staff. Her coaches have taken an invested interest in her in and outside of the gym and fully support her outside interests. We may not be able to return to CX this year due to conflicting schedules but I still remain in contact with the gym and have not been "removed" or "shunned" from anything. They still care about my daughter and want what is best for her.

COST: WAY higher than any other All Star gym. I was told it's because the tuition is inclusive of practice-wear, unlimited tumbling, etc., but you can't get into more than one tumbling class/week and practice wear is not distributed until the girls "earn it". Even after goals were met, there was a NEW measure. Either way, I bought practice wear for the season but my daughter did not receive it until halfway through. COMMUNICATION: Non-existent when it comes to speaking with coaches or the owner. LITERALLY not allowed. If you have questions, you have to contact the program manager who acts as liaison. If you ask things on group texts, the reply you get is simply: "It was on the email." The website is not user friendly and with so many email updates and text chains that become social, it's very difficult to get a quick answer for pertinent information. CULTURE: They call it a "family feel" but that's a spin to explain policies. For one, you drop your child off to a door (rain or heat wave), where they have to knock and wait to have opened. Only athletes allowed in. You pick up your child at that same door, waiting while they often run late. Also, ALL teams are required to be present from the start of the comp thru last awards. Athletes are not allowed to explore the area we are visiting or even go for a night swim. So yeah... between being a small gym, spending entire days together in convention halls, and the commiseration of parents trying to navigate through the season; we DO end up feeling like a family... having each other (not a professional organization) to count on. The other thing that SHOCKED me was the testimonies of athletes at a mandatory parent meeting. Girl after girl smiled and said: "It's ok if the coaches make us cry, because they are trying to make us better." or "I am ok with throwing up because it means I have pushed myself." Whatever goes on behind closed doors made my girl fearful to ask questions, make mistakes, or speak up when she was hurt /uncomfortable. We had a lot of arguments at home when she was confused about things. If I said I needed to call the gym, she would BEG me not to, saying, "They will be mean to me and talk about me!" BUT CX WINS. Or DO THEY? Having been an All Star athlete herself + over a decade of owning CX, the owner has a lot of experience and knows exactly what it takes to win. But all wins aren't the same. My daughter's team often "competed" where they were the ONLY ones in their level. She was also moved from a level 2 to a level 4 team (1st yr. cheer), where she spent the entire season doing what she knew, but never had the chance to grow and learn new skills. The level-up was pitched as a privilege, but it put my child in a holding pattern. CX needed her on a certain team and moved her to a spot where she would never be a part of the tumbling or jumping, so she spent the year sitting out in those areas at practice and while performing. WHY WE WON'T RETURN: 1.While many parents DID express their experience with staff, instead of reaching out personally, the owner posted a very passive/aggressive social media response, essentially saying how she has been rejected but wouldn't change who she is. 2.When parents discussed dissatisfaction, one by one, we were blocked from social media. No exit interview, addressing the issue, or apology; and apparently, not enough belief in themself to remain transparent. 3.Then, there was a sudden surge in social media that countered some of the specific complaints that were made privately (see CX media May '19). I can't help wonder if it was solicited? 4.Families were told they weren't welcome to try out if they attended another gym's try-outs (isn't it a consumers right to shop around?!) 5.If an athlete left the gym, they were UNINVITED to the end-of-season Banquet! (Really??? No acknowledgement of their hard work and the teammate they were because they decided there was a better fit for them elsewhere?) THAT was the final straw for me. I have a hunch tuition rates and other decisions are based on low enrollment due to this gym being ran as an extension of a young athlete who wanted to continue to live her own "cheer experience" and NOT for the development of future athletes. We planned to quietly move on to a place I had more faith in, but too many people have been hurt, and the way you are excommunicated from what THEY promote is "family" and "being so loved" was confirmation to me that CX is completely hypocritical and what the consumer is pitched is false advertising. In full disclosure, it's not ALL bad. My daughter did learn some new skills and how comp cheer works. She had fun adventures traveling with her team, and made new friends who will remain friends! But before signing their contract, ask yourself why CX can't attract or retain athletes, and look into their "win" records and decide if what they have to offer is the leadership, lessons or experience you want for your child.

What ever you do, do not give this business your credit card for automatic payments. After discussing the issue with the owner, I was told to expect two months of payments reimbursed to our checking account. When that didn't happen, I offered to drive there to pick it up. She said it had to go through their accounting and that I should expect it in three business days. Well it's now been three weeks later and not only do I not have a check, they won't return my messages.I have decided to write this off and go the yelp route. I will also be informing our varsity and Junior varsity cheerleaders to go to a different tumbling business.
