Chason's - Elk Grove

Had to give a huge shout out to my server, Danny. Unbelievably great service from a funny, chill and down to earth guy. Made our experience extra fun and exciting. I will ask him to be my service every time I go to chasons from now on. PS: come on a Wednesday and get $1 oysters. You can't get this great of a deal anywhere else!

Garlic noodles wasn't as good as Hook n Reel for some reason it was less garlicy and more soy sauce flavor. But still good.Oysters were amazing! Will definitely come back on Wednesdays :)

This was my first time going in a very long time and I love how their renovated the inside of Chason! The service was very nice and there was plenty of seating inside. The only downside is the parking lot is small with all the places inside this plaza. My friend put me on to their $1 oysters so I had to try it! We both got 24 pieces each and it came with some sauce. Personally, I didn't care too much about the sauce. I will definitely come back again and I hope to try the other dishes they have!

Whether we come here for seafood boil or their other main entrees/dishes. Food is always a hit!! Tasty and huge portions. Service is fairly quick and the workers are pretty attentive. It's a bit chaotic for dinner hours and or on the weekends. It gives a sport bar vibe even though they serve nice dinner plates. They have multiple tvs, and a bar. Seating options are high tables, regular tables, or booths, and even outdoor seating when weather permits it. We come time to time and haven't noticed any major restaurant declines, if anything food options get more and more interesting each time.

Mom was craving Chason's, so we came in for a late lunch on a weekend. Of course it was a Sunday, which meant FOOTBALL so the indoors was packed and loud. The Niners game had just finished and it was currently broadcasting the Chiefs game. We got a table outside on the patio, and it wasn't too hot but there were no umbrellas for the tables. The breeze did blow away at least one napkin and our to-go bag later. Since it was outdoors I suppose there was a risk of inhaling cigarette smoke if other customers chose to take a smoke break too. One particularly drunk individual customer stopped by our table to "help us decide" what to order, which was a little awkward/uncomfortable. Female server was friendly, and did not forget about us back there despite the crowds inside. Mom got the Bbq beef short ribs and I got the Pork chops. Both of us picked garlic noodles instead of rice for the accompaniment. The pork chops were 2 massive pieces, and the garlic noodles were very very garlicky. Also came with some side raw cucumbers and orange garnish, and some kind of chimichurri. I was only able to finish one chop in one sitting, and took the rest to go. They also did have a couple of dessert options, a cheesecake and a chocolate lava cake with strawberries and ice cream. Might go for jambalaya/gumbo with softshell crab if/when I return.

I went to lunch at Chason's with my husband and my in-laws to celebrate my father-in-law's birthday. Even on a weekday, there were still a few tables with patrons. We were greeted and seated quickly when we arrived.We opted to order a few dishes to share - calamari, garlic noodles with prawns, Korean BBQ style short ribs with white rice, and the fried catfish with fries.The orders came out as they were ready, starting with the calamari. We were surprised that it appeared to be such a large portion, but we realized there were also pieces of battered and fried veggies mixed in as well. I ended up loving the bell peppers and onions. Everything else was good as well. The garlic noodles were a particular stand out for the portion and the flavor. The catfish was very moist inside a crunchy exterior and the fries that came with the order some of the best I've had in a while. My only critique would be that the catfish could've been seasoned a little more. The short ribs were really good and tender too.The restaurant itself was fairly loud, despite not too many people. One particular group was especially enthusiastic, but I think it may have been a combination of their cheers and the acoustics that resulted in a rowdier ambiance.Our waitress was great, very attentive and so friendly. My father-in-law spun the wheel at the end of our meal and he had a great time (he got a $10 gift card!)

We went here on a Saturday around 2:45pm when I went on a mini road trip and there was no wait! At this restaurant, there's a large variety of food, so we decided to go here.Anyways, when we got seated, we had trouble deciding what to order because of their large variety! We ended up ordering the Seafood Pasta, Seafood By the Pound (Shrimp), Garlic Noodles, BBQ Beef Short Ribs w/ Rice, and Corn Bread.All the food I tried here is delicious, but my favorite was the Seafood Pasta! I really liked how creamy and cheesy the pasta was and the seafood wasn't too chewy to eat. The Seafood Boil item was also a highlight for me too because I thought it was nice how it came with a bucket for your shells.I'd recommend this place! They have a good variety food items, such as pastas, tacos, seafood boils, steaks, rice dishes, and sandwiches too! All the food I tried that day also tasted good, so I'd be willing to come back. They also have a brightly lit ambiance, so it's a good place for a meal.

Great service great food. Parking can be a bit of a challenge but that just lets you know the food and the staff are great. Each time I've been I always make friends with other customers because the ambiance is also great. Positive vibes and the drinks kick in quick

Beyond disappointing. Qwas craving whole Dungeness crab like I get in China Town in the city (SF) but could not find a spot in Folsom that has it. Found this place on yelp n drove over 30 mins to get the Salt & Pepper whole crab with garlic noods. Got there and almkst checked out w/o dbl checking that everything was included but made sure to ask. Glad I did because they had not included the noods. Had to wait longer for them to make n pack em. Finally get home and open everything up and sit down to eat. Disappointed is not even the word! Crab was fried to long/hard that the meat was completely dry and bitter. I'm talking stringy shreds of crab meat that stuck to the insides of the shell. Noods were a generous portion but just ok. $60 and over an hour on the road down the drain. I def won't be going back.

Danny served us for the night and was amazing! Best server I had in a long time! He was patient and recommended a lot of things to try from the menu. Definitely will come back again!
