Chando's Tacos

We tried a taco and a torta one with chicken, one with beef ...both delicious! We truly think it's one of the best Mexican food places in Sacramento. Friendly and quick service. Would highly recommend, we'll be back! Atmosphere is kind of low key, but everything was clean.

Chandos used to be delicious before Covid.I ordered the Adobada burrito meal. The burrito was quite small. The meat was room temperature. It was a disappointment because it used to be so good. The quesa birria tacos are still pretty good. It was hot and fresh. I tried this place dozens of times. Unfortunately I don't think I'm coming back.

This should read three $$$ signs because for fast casual Mexican food it is quite pricey. Don't get me wrong it is a clean restaurant with delicious food, friendly & fast service, however the price is not justified.There are competitive good Mexican places down the street in West Sac that don't charge as much. They do however offer daily specials:Mulitas Monday $9.99 Taco Tuesday $2.50Burrito Wednesday $9.99 (includes drink)Torta Thursday $9.99Flauta Friday $9.99Chandos bowl $6 (everyday?) choose your protein: fish, veggie, asada, carnitas, and you get whole beans, onion, and cilantro in a bowl.

I ordered carnitas burrito. After I eat it and they're there was a few chunks of fat. Only I forgot I feel sick. I threw up took some Advil and I felt good today.

Called in and ordered the asada burrito with Guac on the side. Guac was great and the burrito was super tasty. Estimated time was about 15-20 minutes online but it was ready in 5. Will be coming back! The ambiance was nice, empty during the lunch hour on a weekday around 2PM

I've only been to this Chando's a few times now but I'm very familiar with Chando's as a Sacramento staple, particularly for tacos. What I've also heard from others are that there tortas are the way to go. I stopped in on Friday and needed lunch before working an all day event so I decided I'd go with a torta combo and an extra taco on the side to make sure I was set for the day.I got there at just about noon and there was only one person in front of me in line, with most of the tables empty. The guy in front of me ordered quickly and I put in my order before grabbing my drink and some salsa to go with my chips. They mostly have four top tables inside which makes it a little difficult when grabbing a table for one. It ended up getting busy shortly after arrived and I'd like to offer my table to groups or sit at a one/two top instead to make room, but I didn't see that as an option.Anyway, food came out relatively quickly and I was happy with the portions of everything. The torta was great with a lot of meat on it, a soft roll, and was a solid choice. I didn't love the taco de papas and would likely not get again, but now I know!Overall, solid lunch choice with some good combos. If you're in the mood for more than just one item, I definitely recommend shelling out a few more dollars for chips, a soda, and your choice of nacho cheese, bean dip, or pico!

Just no. No. No. No. After a couples pedicure, we went to grab a quick bite to eat, and wanted to try the newer to us Chando's location. I've been going to Chando's for years, and really appreciated the quality food at reasonable prices. That no longer exists. In fact, the food has become inedible over priced garbage.We spent over $60, and this was for take away When we arrived home, we were excited to have a nice evening, and both of us were looking forward to enjoying some good eats. ( see pictures) The food was haphazardly thrown in the boxes, and despite the request for no onions, the food was loaded with them. The food was mediocre, tasting at best, and definitely something that was completely unexpected.Back in the day, and not so long ago, you could order three tacos and a drink for around six dollars. That has now doubled in price, and frankly, it's just not worth it.I could go on and on and pick apart the different issues with each of the items that we ordered, but what's the point? It's just sad to spend this amount of money, and literally not be able to eat the food.

Well, over 5 dollars for a street taco now. Tastes great but just too much for me. It's really the only bad thing I can say about Boatman Chando. Best of luck.

I ordered a carne asada burrito and got a lettuce burrito sprinkled with a couple pieces of carne asada. Chandos was once a go to spot. Last couple of experiences have definitely changed that.
