I've walked by this location so many times and today I finally stopped in for lunch. I ordered the 3 taco meal, which comes with chips and your choice of guac, nacho cheese or pico de gallo. I ordered the asada, pollo, and carnitas tacos each topped with fresh cilantro, delicious diced onions, guacamole, and house made salsa wrapped in two fresh stone-ground street tortillas.I received great, fast and friendly service. At the time I went, it was fairly empty so they brought my food right to my table. Great place with plenty of space for larger parties. They have a large menu and plenty of options for everyone. I will be back!

Came in last night to try Chandos for the first time. It was about 8pm on a Wednesday night, at the Fair Oaks location. The cashier was friendly and answered our questions and made suggestions about the menu items. We ordered the quesabirria tacos and Nachos. The tacos was a combo with small bag of chips (no salsa) and a drink and the nachos were asada and pretty small for the price. For just the combo and the nachos, it was $32 before tip! We were still hungry after eating this, for that price, doesn't seem right. They do not have chips and salsa for people like most Mexican restaurants have, so that was a bummer. You have to pay for a small bag of chips and get one very small container of salsa or cheese sauce or guac. I am giving 2 stars because the cashier was nice. The food was all edible, however it was pretty underwhelming for different reasons. The Birria just has a strange flavor but I did like that the outside was crunchy. The consume (sp?) had that strange flavor as well but was hot and the taco held up with dipping it. The nachos were small and the beef was over cooked or maybe old and dehydrated and some pieces were black. Again, it was edible just very underwhelming. One thing that happened with who I think was the manager or possibly owner, when he walked by us, I smiled at him and he glared at me as if he was not happy we were still there, no acknowledgment or return smile just a glare. It was odd. By this time it was almost closing time so maybe he had a long day. I feel that in this business a warm smile goes a long way to make people feel welcome and want to come back.We will not be back. We had high hopes but we get much better Mexican food at better prices with staff that are ALL friendly and happy we are there. I forgot to take pictures sadly.

I honestly thought this location was better than Pleasant Grove/Roseville. There was no one really present, it was 7 on a Sunday night.... I was craving fish tacos. The food hit the spot. Service was fantastic, food came out quick, since no one else was in the place besides another couple... They were cleaning and properly disposing of gloves, per the observation of another individual... I'm sure they've changed things since then. I love the music that they had playing. This location was more upbeat than Roseville. I like that the parking lot was also bigger than Roseville, so it wasn't as cramped when pulling in. I can't wait to try the CH location next!!!

I never knew about this place, until I recently saw an episode of "chopped" on the Food Network where the owner, Chando, , was competing. It was Cinco de Mayo, so I figured this would be a good place to try. Everybody was very friendly, and when I mentioned the show, they were like, "oh, yeah..." And we chatted about it for a few moments.... The food was right on! I had the Ensenada taco, which is breaded tilapia. The fish was delicious and had a nice portion. The veggies and sauce were very good. I also had the Mulita, which is kind of like a cross between a taco, and a quesadilla. Your meat, your filling, surrounded by melted cheese, and a tortilla. This wasn't just melted cheese, it was melted into a crust. I love crusty cheese. It was so good. The chicken was tender and the fillings were great. The biggest surprise for me was the Mexican street corn. Usually when I get the Elote, it comes in a cup. To my surprise, it was a huge corn cob on a stick. Being that it's street food, it actually makes sense. I just didn't think about it. The corn was tender, the cheese was salty and tangy, and the lime provided a nice pop of acid just to bring everything together. Food drink and tip, the price was very reasonable I want to come back. Thank you!

Was shopping nearby and thought we'd stop in and bring some tacos home. Service was good and the cashier indicated there was a special on street tacos. We ordered Carnitas and Carne Asada tacos to share. I admit the fillings were pretty good, but they were literally dripping in grease. We ate half our tacos and threw the other half away. I don't think that we will give this one another chance.

There is NO atmosphere or ambiance in this place at all! There is potential, since the dining area is large. Even having a worker patrol the dining area to clean tables and tidy up would go a long way to making this place more pleasant for dine in.Food was ok. I had the burrito bowl which was a good blend of grilled chicken, nicely cooked and seasoned, the right amount of beans and rice (not too much, ihmo), and fresh lettuce, tomato with a nice creamy queso sauce. Food was served in a plastic carry-out bowl with the top included, I guess in case you have to run.Price was about what you pay anywhere for a lunch.

It is nice that Chando's Tacos opened the Fair Oaks location this year. I once loved the original Chando's on Arden but orders took too long and the ambiance was no bueno.Anyhow, the locals don't have "adventurous taste buds", thus this Chando's doesn't order a lot of lengua, cabeza or buche. They were out of all except cabeza. Tragic. Lengua is my fav. Cabeza was very good. They receive meat orders on Monday so hit them up early in the week for your "exotic meat" cravings.Hit up Chando's on Tuesday. $11.99 gets 3 tacos, chips & pico de gallo, and soda. Or Wednesday for burrito with soda $10.99. Basically a soda for free. Other days have specials but they didn't appeal to me so I'm not sure what they were! Chips & salsa is something most taquerias should give you, but modern day inflation and high minimum wage, people be cutting corners. Better for the waistline anyway.I love the bountiful and spacious seating. Restroom, on the dining side in the back was spacious and clean, too.Staff was helpful, friendly and they got along well. The trash was full and I kindly let them know. A couple minutes later, it was emptied. Good things going on here.
