I've driven by Chaii so many times and am glad that I finally stopped in today! I came for boba but their food menu made a strong impression. My partner and I were interested in ordering samosas to-go, but the counter service regretfully informed us that they're only sold Friday-Sunday. It was a bummer, but we'd be interested in coming back, given that you don't always find Indian food at a coffee and tea shop specializing in boba drinks and desserts! Inside was cute and comfortable, and outside had seating options as well.My partner ordered the Lychee Berry Dream and I ordered the Thai Caramel Whisper. Both were well crafted, but the Thai Caramel Whisper was the favorite of the two! This combination was not only unexpected, but also delicious. I'd highly recommend and am excited to continue exploring more of their menu!

In the area waiting to attend an event and needed a pick me up. The place is on the corner with a shared parking lot, which is nice not to have to parallel park. The floral / shrubbery interior is fun and it had a good amount of people inside placing orders while others were lounging. Staff was nice, and now I really wish I would of told them it was my first time and asked for a recommendation.I wound up getting one of their iced teas, not sure if it was mango or peach, but I didn't actually care for my iced tea. The flavors were just not mixing well, but I would come back and try the place again to find my go to drink.

Disappointing Experience - Lack of Communication and Poor Customer ServiceI recently ordered a birthday meal for a friend through DoorDash from Chaii, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. Two items of the three items I ordered didn't make it to my friend, and I was never notified that some items were out of stock. I tried calling the restaurant to inquire about the issue but no one answered. I even left a message requesting a callback, but received no follow-up.To make matters worse, the items were replaced without my knowledge, and the only communication I received was a note taped to the box. I also contacted the DoorDash driver, who confirmed no one had informed him about the replacement either. I understand the order was placed through DoorDash, but I've had other restaurants call or message when items are unavailable, or at least inform the driver so the customer can be notified. What concerns me most is the potential risk to my friend's health. She could have been allergic to something in the replacement items, and there was no communication to ensure her safety.Given Chaii's strong Yelp rating of 4.4 stars, I expected much better service. I was charged full price but didn't receive the correct order, and I was left in the dark about the changes. This lack of communication, coupled with the safety concerns, has made me very disappointed. I hope this review helps bring attention to these issues for future customers.Update: I also messaged the business on IG. They responded and took accountability for the replaced items but stated there was no number on the ticket order and informed me to get a refund from DoorDash. I responded by stating I appreciate their acknowledgment of the issue. After reaching out multiple times through call, Instagram, and Yelp, it's clear that communication could have been better. I've had positive experiences with DoorDash before and expected the same from your restaurant. It would have helped if your staff had informed the DoorDash driver about the menu changes. I'll be contacting DoorDash to address this matter.I hope this was an isolated incident, as I was looking forward to trying their restaurant after seeing the great reviews. Unfortunately, this experience has been disappointing.

Stopped by this new coffee/tea shop and it is amazing ! They have hot and iced drinks from milk tea, blended smoothies and coffees. It's a bright, spacious and I love all the vine/ plant decor. The barista was nice and quick with our order and They've got sweet and savory treats also! I tried their new Samosa and it was soooo good! Perfect seasoning and sauce. The Nutella paratha was also perfectly sweet and like a crepe but with a crunch! Super good definitely stop by!!

Not going to lie I really like this place! Not many places can you go and have fresh chai. Yes my first time here but they do make your chai fresh. I got the masala chai and they ask how sweet you like it! I also got the lotus biscotti cookie, it was great not to sweet just perfect with the chai!!! Yea parking is tough it's right across from Tacos 65. But like I said I really do not know anywhere around here that makes Fresh chai to order. Honestly it seemed all of the coffee and redbull drinks are popular too.

Drinks: 4/5Service: 5/5Ambiance: 5/5Seating: 4/5Parking: 3/5Located in a small shopping plaza, the parking directly next to the store is all only 20 minute parking. Since it's right on 65th street which is always busy, it may be better to turn on Broadway street and try to find 2 hour street parking. There are lots of indoor and outdoor seating: tall seats at a counter; many tables with hard, metal chairs; 3 conversational areas of comfortable cushioned chairs around small tables; 3 wooden picnic tables outdoors. Not tested/not pictured is a Gender Neutral Restroom. The music is not too loud; overall, it seems a great place to study, hangout with friends, or relax with a hot drink. When ordering my drink, the staff was very nice and conversational, answered all my questions and helped me pick my order. I ordered Karak Chai with Soy Milk (hot). It was delicious! Not too sweet and definitely woke me up. They do offer a couple pastries if you're looking for a snack. Overall, it's a great casual spot and I'm so glad there's more businesses opening up near Sac State where I think students would enjoy. Will definitely return to enjoy a nice, hot drink in the cold weather.

Chaii is a really nice spot with excellent service and great chai and coffeeWe came to check out Chaii after spending time at the giant pumpkin fest in Elk Grove, it was a hot day for October and I needed an iced drinkThe ambiance was clean and modern there was even a group of friends that I helped take photos for because they really liked the decorI got a iced mocha and a cookie to share with my fiance and a chai for her, she said it's one of the best chais she ever had, my iced mocha was great as well, milky but still had a good coffee and chocolate flavor, sweet but not overly soThey offered to heat our cookie which was super nice of them, the cookie itself was loaded with macadamia nuts which was awesome and even though the cookie maybe needed a bit more time in the oven it was still a damn good cookie - my only nitpick about it was maybe they used a bit too much fat in the cookie otherwise texture, flavor, and sweetness was on point

Don't order the bagel with egg & pesto. The pesto was so salty and the egg was overcooked. I paired it with a Biscoff Latte. It wasn't too sweet but the flavor was mildy there. I want to come back and give this place another chance. I hope the other items in their menu are better.

This is definitely the year of the coffee shops. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this place had quite a unique menu. It makes me wanna keep coming back to try more things. I went with the biscoff latte & it was so good that I drank it all so quickly. Drinks are also picture perfect. I'll have to come back and try some pastries as well.

The sign has been up for this place for over a year and it's finally open! It's actually a lot more spacious inside than I expected. This is a difficult little parking lot to get in/out of, so I would recommend just parking in the neighborhood nearby and taking a short walk over.I was greeted by the owner upon entering. It was nice to see there were already a few people in there waiting for drinks despite just opening up for the day. There is a great variety of drinks on the menu! I wanted to go with something tried and true but the Thai Berry Dream caught my eye. He told me it was a Thai tea with strawberry, so I decided to give it a shot since I love both flavors but haven't tried them together! There were two baristas and even though they're in soft opening, the drink came out pretty quickly! I went to shake it to mix but it wasn't sealed all the way. Luckily it only spilled on the table. I didn't mind but I decided to go tell them so it wouldn't happen to other customers. They resealed it and it was still open so they tried again. I appreciate them fixing it for me. Hope to come back to try more of their drinks and some of the snacks like Nutella paratha!
