Chaat of India

I met my friend June at Chaat on Wednesday, January29, 2025. We meet up regularly to try different Indian restaurants and compare them. We are very critical because she, of course, grew up eating Indian food and knows what is good and what is not. Over our 30 year friendship, she had taught me the difference.I am here to tell you, the food was GREAT! The buffet was fresh and full of a good variety of dishes. The restaurant was well-lit and very clean, nicely decorated. The staff was friendly and very helpful.But the food, was the best! I would recommend this restaurant without hesitation and cannot wait to return!

Chaat of India is located in the Seafood City Plaza, fairly close to Seafood City. They have buffet everyday from 10am - 3pm but we came during dinner time for regular dining. We tried the veggie samosas (7/10), butter chicken (7/10), goat curry (6/10), and garlic naan (8/10). I enjoyed the flavors of everything. Only downside was the goat meat being too chewy. The staff here are nice.

Food is always good! I've had the chicken tikka masala, garlic naan, butter naan, chicken korma and their mango drink.Overall, food is always hot, satisfying & though I've yet to eat in their service is fast and when I picked up for the first time staff were attentive & very friendly. While inside, I somewhat took a peak of the place and the it was very clean and well kept. Pretty spacious too, I will definitely try dining in next time.

I really enjoyed my to-go meal from Chaat of India. I had the following items: Chana Masala, Butter Chicken, Garlic Naan, Veg. Biryani, Chole Bhature, Tandoori Chicken, and Dahi GolGappa. I ordered some items mild and some medium; none were overly spicy to me. I actually didn't have a dish I didn't like. Even the Tandoori Chicken, which I've found to often be overcooked at other places, was cooked perfectly here. Everything had good flavor and taste. I read they have a buffet, so I can't wait to return for that one day soon!

Aside from the great food, the customer service is superb. We visit this place a lot and every time, the service is exceptional. Gopi has been great to me, my wife and kid all the time.Their lunch buffet is something you need to try at least once in your life and it will definitely hook you. Once you taste their butter chicken, everyone else's will taste mediocre.

Located in the same plaza near Seafood City and Planet Fitness so there's a lot of parking nearby. They advertise a lunch buffet which I have to take them up on. Service was really good; water cups were constantly being refilled and our servers were always checking up on us to see if we were doing okay. Plenty of rooms for bigger parties here and they do have booths alongside tables to sit at. Food was great and the naan came out fresh. Portions were a bit small but we still managed to make it out with leftovers.

Great place for North Indian cuisine, which is what I grew up eating. Probably the only place that I've seen Pani Puri (gol gappa) on the menu--and Dani Puri! The service is good and quick, with seating in a large and eclectic dining room with utilitarian furniture. Will return again, even if only for the great puri!

We've been a few times and I must say, when they opened their food was better than what it is now. The service and care for the food recipes and quality of the chaat has gone down! It was a rising gem but ended up being another cubic zirconia Indian spot! I'll keep the hunt on for Fremont and Bay Area quality. I don't understand the hard five star reviews!

Ended up here as a happy accident. My son and I were going to go somewhere else but they were packed and ended up at this fabulous restaurant for the first time. We had the buffet. The butter chicken is amazing. The paneer was great. We liked absolutely everything we tried. All the food was fresh. The service was excellent. I will happily return soon.

I would highly recommend eating here. The food and service were outstanding! I will definitely be bringing family and friends by to try it. The vindaloo is chefs kiss!
