They have wine! Got a huge bag of grapes for $4. Also finally found honey comb and it was only $10. Tons of food vendors but the lines were about 15 people long. Also this farmers market ends in October.

This farmers market is currently every Wednesday starting at 10am! I wished it was all year long, but its only been during the summer. My coworkers and I love walking to this farmers market on our break. It gets pretty busy for lunch time so we usually go a little after they open. There are plenty of fruit and veggie vendors, flowers, wine, nuts, pastries, & food ! The fruits and veggies are on the pricier side compared to other locations. I usually just come here for pastries and lunch! Most of the vendors are pretty consistent but there are also rotating food trucks. I usually get the fresh kettle corn from the stand and pastries from Faria Bakery! I also like Yolanda's tamale truck for burritos, tamales, and their agua frescas!

Prime real estate for this Farmer's Market located on Capitol Ave. It was nice to have the Capitol as the farmer's market back drop. Everyone here was friendly. The food and produce was fresh. I do wish there were more produce vendors that sold vegetables. This was more of an outdoor area for prepared foods and food trucks for all the state workers in the surrounding buildings to grab lunch.

On a Thursday morning, with no work and nothing to do, I decided to come down to the Capitol Mall Farmers Market. With COVID, they are following all safety precautions and social distancing guidelines.I was surprised by how small it actually was. I had never been before, so I am not sure if the lack of vendors is simply because of everything going on in the world or if it truly is a very small farmers market. They were selling all of the seasonal fruits and vegetables, at the peak of their freshness and ripeness.Regardless, I walked along the stalls and ended up purchasing myself a beautiful bouquet of flowers, the most delicious and ripe avocados, and a sweet little Stroop waffle treat. There were also food trucks lined up, ready to serve a variety of cuisines to anyone passing by. The infamous Nash & Proper was there as well as Cousins Maine Lobster.

This is a cute little farmers market right on the Capital Mall with vendors selling fresh fruits and veggies, jams and honey and flowers. One side was all fresh produce and goodies while the other was lined with about 15 food trucks. Small - but cute!

I Am Going To MIss This Farmer's Market Come This First Week Of October!SITREP...because like all the other Certified Farmers Markets in Sacramento, they shut down for the Fall and Winter seasons. *sad panda* (but such is the seasonal life of agriculture in this hemisphere). MULTI-TASKINGI also love economizing my activities. Which is why I hardly ventured to this market much before.*ROOSEVELT PARKThe nice thing about the Farmer's Market located in Roosevelt Park on Tuesday's is that I can check out fresh produce at dozen's of stalls, grab a couple of Samosa's to snack on from Raja's Tandoor food stand, and/or perhaps grab a sandwich from my friend Marcos at his Le Croissant Deli just a block away.Usually a once-a-week Farmers Market stop enough for me. But lately, I've become a big believer in the "you gotta shake it up every now and then", right?THE SETUPSo enter the Certified Farmers Market located here on Capitol Mall on Thursdays:* Thursday - 2 days later, and hence not too soon after the Tuesday Market* Thursday - a market with a slightly different variety of vendors and actually other special-interest booths, including some Health and Corporate sponsorshttps://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/certified-farmers-market-sacramento-2?select=Z9BnF2SGE_kwEpRMLZTO-g&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w* Thursday - a market closer to two of my other favorite coffee & pastry shops - Old Soul on Capitol Mall, and Specialty's Bakery.* Thursday - the Kettle Corn people come to this one and not the one on Tuesdayhttps://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/certified-farmers-market-sacramento-2?select=iOjXa_4amFqN8XuYfLYTMw&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0wTHE LOWDOWNSo there is great variety here at this Thursday Farmers Market that is definitely worth checking out!NOTE: The useless survey question that asks "Take out?" It's pretty much ALL take out!

A solid Farmers Market choice, especially if you happen to work Downtown! May through September, Thursdays from 10-1:30, you'll find government employees bustling around filling bags with produce and sampling from local food trucks. Capitol Mall is blocked off from 5th to 7th just for you, so definitely give it a shot. Food items that can be found nearly every week are gyros, woodfired pizza, BBQ, Indian offerings that include a vegetarian option, and of course, legendary kettle corn!I go nearly every week as Capitol Mall is where I hang out 8-5 M-F, and this is so far my favorite of the weekday markets. This website is super helpful in planning your Sacramento Farmers Market schedule: www.california-grown.com/Market-times.html

This farmer's market is conveniently located right near the Capitol and very close to many downtown offices. It definitely is meant to attract office workers during the week. It happens every Thursdays, starts at about 930 and then wraps up around 2. They block off traffic and station a couple of police cars to close off the street in order to set up this farmer's market. I have wondered how much it costs to hire police officer(s) to establish this farmer's market every week. Must be expensive. The prices are definitely higher than other farmers markets that are on the weekend and not during a workday because at this farmers market, they're not only selling produce and lunch foods from food mobile trucks, but rather they'll selling the convenience of being able to do some grocery shopping during your workday, so of course prices are higher.Still, the fruits and veggies are fresh and likely recently harvested. And the convenience of not having to go grocery shopping for produce after work cannot be measured with dollars. =) The selection of food mobiles are pretty good too!

I love this farmers' market. It's convenient if you work in the downtown area. Half the vendors are selling hot foods/lunch items while the other half sells produce and other stuff you see at farmers markets. The longest lines lately seem to be for Gyro 2 Go and La Posada. Both are pretty good. La Posada is new to me and their popular items seem to be the agua frescas and mangoneada. Get there early because they sell out quick!
