Catta Verdera Country Club

We are a video team and have worked at Catta Verdera many times in the past. All the staff here is so friendly and helpful with all of our needs. The grounds are always well kept and looking beautiful year round. Can't wait for the next one here!

Attended a wedding at this beautiful venue. They have a pretty area for an outdoor wedding. They also have a beautiful ballroom for the reception. The wedding party got to use 2 casitas as well to get ready in. Lastly, they come clutch with golf carts to help with transportation on this large property.

We had our son's wedding here, accommodating 160 guests. McKenzie was a wonderful wedding coordinator. The venue was set up beautifully and most of the services were spot on. They seemed to have run short on staff as the wine was supposed to be poured throughout the night but never was - eventually guests got out of their seats and made a trip to the bar. The food was okay - the salmon was cooked perfectly but lacked seasoning and those that ate the steak had some raving and others less impressed. The wines offered with the catering were cheap wines that were grossly overpriced so we were able to score a good deal on Prisoner wine where the addition of corkage fees still put us ahead of the game. Guests were impressed with the wine. Table settings and our instructions for seating worked out very well. This venue is beautiful and am pleased with the overall outcome.

Went here for a wedding last week for my niece. I would have given a 5 star review except for the attitudes that 2 of the male helpers were displaying to the guests. I hope the management actually reads these reviews because they need to talk to their employees about about throwing 'shade at guests for really no reason except for asking nicely for water and 1 women accidentally almost bumping into one of the male wait staff trying to serve a dessert. The venue is really pretty and all of the other staff were very friendly and helpful. I just had to call out these incidents since several people noticed and said the same thing. Nice place just some of the staff needs some minor tweaks to their attitudes. The food was really well made and overall a beautiful venue.

The one star is for the low class character of the older man that worked here that rushed my sister out of the venue on her wedding day. He also made some rude remarks to the guests & talked badly to country club members about her guests. Although we didn't let his behavior ruin our time on her big day, his distaste isn't something that I would recommend anyone work with. He should be less focused on his judgment of people and more focused on his job, to serve them.

Such a beautiful venue ti hold your wedding! From the gorgeous ceremony backdrop to the stylish reception room. There really not much you need to do to this place! Just add some candles and flowers and you're good to go!

Worst wedding service ever! It took forever for the food to come out. I mean food came out nearly 1 whole hr late. And when the food came out, the gap between the courses was so large. We were left with 30 mins or so on the dance floor! The staff was rude and as if they were ready to push us out of their venue when they haven't even served dinner. Upon food coming out, my whole section of the room got to barely taste our soup before it was taken away without even asking! So we were left with nothing to munch on while we wait at least 30-45mins before the next course came. Same thing with the salad and the entree. People left to go take pictures and when they return their food was GONE! Food quality: sucks! For the bride and groom to pay top dollars for lobster tails and steak, the food taste like it came fresh out of the freezer that has been sitting for years!Not to mention, this is a wedding and was supposed to be a special event. BUT the venue hosted a more important event than the promised ONLY booked event on that day. People from the other party came trickling into our event crashing the event. This is not acceptable! The bride and groom was LIED too! Book this venue if you want to pay top dollars for a crappy service. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Had my wedding reception here and their event coordinators are so extremely talented and wonderful! They're so patient and professional. Thank you for answering all of my questions and for being flexible. You guys are amazing and made our special day easy and so so memorable. Special thanks to your staff, Kenzie, and Christina. Catta Verdera has been around for a while and have done many weddings, so we were dumbfounded when they made these mistakes that should never be overlooked by an experienced wedding venue.1. My husband and I toured this venue one year prior to our wedding date. During the tour, we were promised by the both wedding coordinators that with the Encantador Package, we would 1.) Have the entire venue to ourselves after golfing hours and 2.) The cocktail hour will be hosted from the smaller adjacent dining room and would open to the patio. This was not the case on the day of. Catta Verdera booked another birthday party for 40 people (country club members) in the room that was to be used to host our cocktail hour. The venue was short staff that evening, because of this, which explains the rude server. We learned of this birthday party the evening of our wedding. Unknown guests were wandering around and staring at us while we were getting our photos taken. It felt awkward being the bride with strangers staring at you, especially when we booked this place, because we wanted an intimate wedding. Catta Verdera broke their own promise and could not own up to it. I have expressed my grievances in a private email right after our wedding in early November 2022, and have not received a single response up to date.2. Right before the ceremony, I was told that the stand to our personalized glass for the sand ceremony was wobbly so they could not use it. It turned out I was lied to. After recovering the package where I originally placed the glass in, I discovered that the stand was broken and one of leg to the stand was missing. I had inspected this package the night before dropping it off at the venue and everything was intact. I placed 2 bright orange labels on the that read "FRAGILE" on it and their staff still managed to break one of the legs and tossed it out. 3. The pricing of the wedding package was advertised on their website at $130 per person for the all-day Encantador Package in October of 2021. We later found out that it was changed to $150 prior to us signing the contract. We accepted this as a minor mistake on their end and even suggested to the wedding coordinator that their website be updated. During the signing of the contract in early November of 2021, the price was still showed the original pricing. I had to point this out to the wedding coordinator again. If I was going to play by the book, I would have pushed for the original price to be honored, but that's not me as a human. This lack of attention to detail should have been a red flag for us to back out. 4. We chose the start the ceremony at 3pm and end the night at 10pm and informed the wedding coordinator. Their default time in the contract was at 3pm. During the planning session, the wedding coordinator stated that we choose 3pm and drafted a timeline to this. I corrected her and pointed out her mistake. No apologies from her - there's a pattern here. 5. There was a strong lack of communications on the wedding coordinator's end, especially as the date got closer. One month prior to the wedding, I received multiple "out-of-office" emails as a response to my inquiries. It was worst when the "out-of-office" emails bounced back to my follow-up emails. It meant that my initial emails were disregarded. This happened on multiple occasions. It got to the point where I had to follow up each email with multiple phone calls and asked her to provide me a specific time that I could reach her via phone. If the venue was indeed overworking this staff, they really should consider hiring more help or if the wedding coordinator was unresponsive by choice, her work ethics should be evaluated and be properly trained. 6. My guests on tables 1 and 2 complained that their server was very rude. He removed their food before they had a chance to finish eating and did it without asking. This same staff also ended up yelling at my guests for using the dinner candles to light our sparklers that the end of the night. I brought my own butane lighters for the sparklers that were securely taped to the sparklers, but went missing. Catta Verdera staff were responsible for putting sparklers out, so I don't know how they could have lost my butane lighters that I taped to the box of sparklers. I still have not recovered these lighters. 7. In the contract, it permitted the bride and groom to add parents for the food tasting. I asked to bring my parents and was told "No", citing COVID changes. We understood and complied as many couples did. However, on the day of our tasting, there was one couple that had both parents there dinning. On the way out, this same set of parents introduced themselves to us in the parking lot. They parked next to us and were a very nice couple. It turned out, they are country club members. I guess, this means COVID policies do not apply to country club members.

It's probably a cool country club, but don't do your wedding here. There wait staff is terrible to the guests.Dinner came out extremely late. The ceremony was supposed to start at 4, but started later. Dinner didn't come out until 8 and the reception ended at 10. We hardly had time to dance.
